Installing app from app store

When I try to install an app from the appstore on my iPad3, a popup box appears that says "Improve your Apple ID security"To help ensure the security of your Apple ID, choose three security questions and answers and gives me two options 1. Not Now 2. Continue.  When I choose Not Now,  the pop up box disappears and nothing happens.  When I choose continue, it asks me for the Apple ID password.  When I enter the password, it asks again for the password.  This happens continuosly and my app does not get installed.   My settings have Automatic downloads ON, in General, Restrictions Off and Download Apps ON.  What I am doing wrong.  My IOS 6 is fully updated.

You can try this, but based on the fact that so many other users have reported this same problem, it must be some issue with the Apple servers that is causing this. What I suggested was a workaround that seems to stop the password loop, and you might just have to wait until Apple fixes this since you cannot purchase from iTunes.
Try the iBookstore. I think you can download books in India. There should be samples books that you can download at not cost, maybe that will trigger the same response as a download in iTunes.
One other thing that might work is to refresh your Apple ID.
Sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try again.

  • Failed to install App Store on my Mac Book 5.

I followed the instructions to download app store on my mac. I went to Software update, and updated my system, then I restarted my macbook without seeing any dialog to install App Store. After restarted my mac book, I was looking for App Store. I found it in downloads, and I deleted it and emptied my trash can by accident. So I failed to install App Store and try to update my system in order to download the app store again on my Mack Book; however, it says "Your software is up to date."
SO how can I get the App Store after updating the software, but failed to install? I want App Store, and I am Snow Leopard. It's been trying nuts for trying to figure out how to get the App Store.

What instructions do you refer to & where did you find them? As has been mentioned by several other people, the Mac App Store is a part of the OS 10.6.6 update. Apple does not offer it as a separate download. Even if it were available as a separate download, it will not work with any version of Leopard (OS 10.5) or any version of Snow Leopard less than 10.6.6.
Click on the "About this Mac" item in the Apple menu. In the window that pops up, right under the words "Mac OS X" you will see the version of the OS you are running. If it says you are running 10.5.8, then you are running Leopard, not Snow Leopard, & Software Update will only offer you updates for that OS version. To upgrade the OS from Leopard to Snow Leopard you must buy a retail copy of Snow Leopard & install it. Once you do, Software Update will offer you updates for that OS version, including the 10.6.6 one that includes the Mac App Store.

  • Re install app store on iphone 3

need help to re install App store as accidently deleted it and cannot download new apps. thanks

That's a pre installed app that cannot be deleted.
Try using the search screen to the left of your Home screen.
If you can't find it that way, then restore the device.

  • Best Way to Remove Installed App Store Apps

What's the best way to remove installed App Store apps?

Drag & drop them into the Trash. Or, if you want to get their auxiliary files, use the free AppCleaner.

  • Is it possible to install App Store apps without an internet connection?

My wife and I both use the same Apple ID for everything.  If she were at home, this would be a no brainer; but she is now stationed in Afghanistan.  She currently does not have access to the internet.
So...is it possible for me to download some games from the app store then copy them to a jump drive so that she can install them on her lap top over there?  Her new laptop was 'authorized' through our iTunes account before she left the states.
    Thanks for your assistance.

Simple drag & drop apps that are mostly what are available in the Mac App Store (MAS) should be fine to burn to CD/DVD or a USB thumb drive and install on another Mac. I would test the apps to make sure that it works for those that you wish to send to her.
I wouldn't put any weight to the BS about fine print. Apple's terms of use for the MAS are that you can install the apps on all of the Macs that you own or that are in your control. There is no restriction on the location of those Macs; home or office, USA or Afganistan!

  • How do I re-install app store?

Had the "do not" symbol on my app store program.  couldn't pull it up.  I deleeted the program and can't find where to re-load it.

Care to share which OS you are using?  If your MBP came w/system DVDs, you can custom install from DVD #1.
Did you check inside your Applications folder?  That is where the original app is kept.  You did not mention from where you deleted the App Store app.

  • Lion installed, App store asked to install

I purchased and installed Lion last weel.  No problems.  But tonight I noticed on my App store Purchesed list that the status says "Install" instead of "installed" like every other app I've purchased and installed?
    How can I remedy this?

I hope so because right now when I check for an update to Lion
Im afraid the software updater does not see Lion in my system but I can't really be sure.
Updates for Lion are not available from the App Store. No wonder you are having problems.
Lion updates are only avaiable from your Apple Menu (Apple icon top left in your screen) >  Software Update...
You can have Lion updates download automatically.
Open System Preferences > Software Update then select the Scheduled Check tab.
Select Daily, Weekly, or Monthly form the pop up menu next to:  Check for updates:
    Select Download updates automatically
You will be advised when those are ready to be installed.
Updates available from the Mac App Store are only for third party apps you have downloaded and installed. Not Mac OS X (Lion) updates.

  • Installing App Store

I have Installed MAC OS Lion. from the App store.
Somehow the app store was deleted from the Computer. How can I reinstall it. I tried Update but nothing.
At a loss as to how I can get App Store App back on My I MAC

It was "somehow" deleted? In order to be deleted, you would have had to try to delete it and then been asked if you were sure you wanted to delete it, and then you would have had to enter your administrator password.
Anyway... I'd recommend that you download and install the 10.7.1 Combo updater and hope that reinstalls the Mac App Store application, but I can't find it. It's possible that Apple hasn't posted a 10.7.1 Combo yet, and might not do so at all.
In that case, your best bet is to reinstall Mac OS X Lion from the Install Mac OS X application package. If you don't have a backup of that, either, you can perhaps borrow it from a friend on an external device. If you can't do that, boot into your Recovery HD (restart while holding Command-R on your keyboard) to redownload and reinstall Lion.
If all else fails, you can purchase this:

  • App not installed App Store thinks that it is

    Hi guys
Just bought and tried to install an app from ios App Store. After two hours it was still on 'installing' so I restarted my iPad.
When it reloaded the app wasn't there so I went back to the App Store to reinstall. The only option on the app is 'Open' and I can't seem to reinstall it.
Is there any way around this? The app was $10 and over 350mb so a bit annoyed right now.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Steve.

If you go  to Purchased under Store left hand side menu of  iTunes on PC ( can't help with Mac,sorry )
at bottom right hand side should say "download Previous Purchases "
Then on next screen Apps and top right  "not in my library" and you should see any apps you have already purchased (iTunes 10.5.2.11)but not currently in library

  • Installing App Store apps on Second HD.

I'm using an iMac with an SSD and a second HD. I want to know whether there is any way I can set which hard disk I want apps from the Mac App store to install rather than it all installing by default on the SSD. Thanks.

There is no way for a user to change this. Also, Apps are best left on the SSD with the OS. You can safely move your Home folder to another drive and folks here can assist you with the proper way to do that.

  • Have OS X 10.6.3 and am unable to install App Store to install Lion or Mountain Lion Software to update to Maverick....HELP!!!!

I recently purchased the Lion and Mountain Lion software to upgrade my MacBook Pro enough to be able to install Maverick (I realized now I only need Lion but oh well).  I'm currently running on OS X 10.6.3.  I have codes to install Lion using the App Store, however  don't have the App Store installed.  I cannot install it, as it says I must be running a version of OS X 10.6.6 or higher in order to install the App Store......Am I just completely screwed here???  Does anyone know another way to install this software without the App Store?!  Thank you!!!!

    1. You don’t need Lion either.
    2. Run the Software Update pane of System Preferences or install the 10.6.8 combo updater manually.

  • While on a trip to Germany I installed App Store (for 10.6.x).

It is in German. Just upgraded to Mavericks. App store is still german. Can't connect. How do I replace/reinstall app store? I am essentially trapped. I had to get Mavericks from my other laptop and mount is since the app store is non functional. Yes, I have a US based account. Yes, it works fine on my other systems, no, changing the language in the browser doesn't work.
    Ideas or pointers?
    Thanks!

Since the app store is part of the OS, reinstall the OS using recovery mode (Command + R during startup/boot up).

Is it in your Applications folder by chance and just not in your Dock? Or is it nowhere to be found? If it's in your Applications folder just drag it to the Dock. If not, then follow jgelements advice.

  • How to re instal apps store

    Hi there,
I lost my apps store and I can do anything to recover back or download again...can somebody halp me with that?
    Thx..

Download and apply the latest Combo updater for the OS you are using.   It does not matter that you are downloading over the top of any previous download.   In any event, you should always have the latest combo updater.
That should return your system to its usual state.

  • Pre-installed LE8 from EDU store upgradeable?

I'm going to be ordering an iMac soon, and I was planning on having LE8 pre-installed, but I just found out that the academic version can't be upgraded when LE9 comes out.
If I have LE8 pre-installed when I order through my university's edu store, will it be the academic version? If so, would I be better off in the long run to buy the retail version separately (for only $20 more)?

    Mark,
You are wise to be looking ahead. Am I understanding correctly that you have the option of getting the retail version of LE8 at a student-discounted price or an academic version which is even further discounted?
If you feel that Logic will be your DAW of choice for years to come and you can buy the retail version for only $20 more, that $20 investment will save you $ in the future. For example, right now you can upgrade to LE8 from any previous version for $99. If you have no previous upgradable version you have to buy the full version for $199. That's a $100 savings if you had paid that extra $20 for a retail version in the first place (or, perhaps more accurately, an $80 savings after deducting your initial $20 investment.)
It does seem Logical (pun intended) that the pre-installed version from your university's store would be the academic version but I would ask them about that if I were you.
