Installing Audigy4 device driver err

Hi,
Has anyone come across the following error and have a solution to fixing it...
When I tried to install my sound card drivers I am getting the following error:
ctzapxx.exe Application Error
The instruction at "0x000640e" referenced memory at "0x00640e". The memory could not be "read".
Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program
My system configuration is as follows:
Pentium 4 2.80GHz
Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2
2GB RAM
60GB Hard Dri've

It sounds as if you have more than one thing going on here. You say that when you turn on your computer you are getting an icon about installing device driver. Then you say it happens "or plug in my iPhone 3G". These should be two different issues.
Let's isolate the first one. When you turn the computer on, you are getting a device driver popup. This occurs every time you turn on the computer? Are you running it in an administrator mode? What kind of external devices do you have connected to the computer? What USB devices do you have connected, i.e. printer, external drives (not flash drives)?
After that, we can tackle the iPhone issue.

A215-S4747 Unable to Locate and Install PCI Device Driver

This is a Toshiba Satellite A215-S4747 32-bit AMD processor running Windows Vista Home Premium.
I have repeatedly tried to locate the PCI driver by using the discs that accompanied the PC, locating the correct driver on Toshiba Support, and though the device manufacturer is "unknown". I have attempted to write and get a response from the chipset manufacturer - but they claim their is no way for them to know and to contact Toshiba.
So, how do you solve this problem? (PC troubleshooting responses):
PCI Device - failed
OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller - failed
Went to locate: C:\DRVSTEMP - does not exist.

Let's try this driver and see if resolves the problem. Download this file, double click to install, reboot after installation and test:
TI Card Reader Driver
If this doesn't work, click on 'Start' -> type in: system info -> click on 'System Information' -> in the left-hand pane click on 'Components' -> in the left-hand pane click on 'Problem Devices' -> in the right-hand pane, under the 'PNP Device ID' column, give us the 4 digit VEN number, and the 4 digit DEV number. Like in the below example: VEN_8086 and DEV_4232.
Let us know what happens or give us the above numbers.

How to install TPM Device Driver

I want to use Win 7's bit-locker option but I tried to set it up, the OS is looking for TPM. I've downloaded the file from MSI site but don'y know h0w to use/install it. help.

Do you in fact have the module installed? It seems to me there should have been some kind of manual included with the module.

I having trouble installing device driver ref. cd's on windows XP 64 bit OS

I recently purchased labVIEW 8.2.1 and the sound and vibration toolkit. The DAQ unit I have is the ni-9233USB. I 've got a couple of options as far as computers that I can load the software onto. The computer that I would like to use is my laptop, but I have the windows XP 64-bit operating system. LabView seemed to install fine, but when I try to install the device driver reference cd's, it tells me they are uncompatible with the 64 bit OS. I was curious if NI had driver cd's or a solution that is compatible with the 64 bit OS?

Hi,
Windows XP 64-bit is not a supported OS for the drivers and while LabVIEW may install it's actually not supported either. Vista 64 bit is supported, and you'll want to make sure to be using the most recent version of DAQmx (v 8.5) as well as LabVIEW 8.2.1.

Can't Sync after IOS5 Upgrade - Device driver software was not successfully installed

I upgraded to OS5 and now can't sync. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes and rebooting and still get an error saying Apple Mobile Device USB Driver was not successfully installed. This is on Windows7 64bit Anyone else had this problem?

I am still having issues completing a sync with my iPhone4 regardless of which USB port I use. I started the upgrade to iOS5 and the update to the phone completed. However, I am unable to get the phone to sync to load all of my apps to the phone. I have tried unstalling and reinstalling iTunes, including deleting any files which may have been missed by the uninstall. I have repeated this process over 5 times using IE, Chrome and Firefox just to make sure it was not a driver issue. Every time, when I connect the iPhone, I get the message it is installing the device driver for iPhone, following by the error mssage "Apple Mobile Device USB Driver Failed" Does anyone out there have any ideas?

MyCloud unit asking to install device driver?

I see a seemingly undocumented "Install" option when viewing my MyCloud device locally on the LAN using Windows Explorer (under Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit) Click on "Network" in Windows Explorer's left pane; the computers + other devices Windows found on the network appear in the right paneThe MyCloud unit actually has two entries (icons), one under "Media Devices" and one under "Storage", but both behave the sameRight-click the icon and the first (and default) item in the pop-up menu is "Install" (having the little shield to indicate that it needs administrative access to run). If run, Windows tries to install a device driver, but that installation failed; Windows showed a "device driver installation was not successful" message stating that no driver could be found. The Windows event log showed that there were several prior steps involving a "UMbus" driver and service that _were_ successful.After "installation", that first/default choice in the right-click menu changes to "Uninstall" and whatever "uninstallation" it does completes with no errors reported. Installing just icons shouldn't need anything to do with the UMbus service or device enumeration on that "bus"... Wonder if it's something that could apply to WD storage devices that are accessible both directly-connected by USB and via a network (wired or wireless) - such as some of the "My Passport" devices - and has erroneously been (partially) included in whatever properties information the MyCloud device broadcasts or gives out when polled by a PC's "network discovery"? But local access to the shared folders or the device's dashboard certainly doesn't need that driver, so I shall just ignore it. :-) Regards,Richard

Windows vista, Ipod shuffle 4th gen. Computer cannot find device driver software for ipod.

After several hours trying the troubleshooting options provided by the apple support site, I have come to what I think is the issue here. My girlfriend recently got an ipod shuffle and when plugging it into her computer the dialog pops up saying it is installing device driver software for the ipod. Eventually it asks me to insert the CD that came with the ipod. No CD came with the ipod, so I click the option that says "I do not have my cd". Then it gives me the option of searching automatically or manually for the driver software. The automatic way can't find it. Doing it manually, with the help of the troubleshooting page, didn't work either. google search can't seem to help me on this one. Also, I tried plugging the ipod into my computer (not hers) and it worked fine, it was able to install the device driver software on its own. Does anybody know the issue here? My computer has windows 7, and hers has vista. Hers is Serice Pack 1. When I tried installing service pack 2 it wouldnt work. I don't know if that is the issue though. I have tried just about everything, I think the issue is finding the device driver software. When I do a google search nothing comes up, so I have no idea what to do at this point. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Well its surprising to know that! But even have an ipod shuffle 3rd gen n dint face any problem like that. FYI no cd comes with the ipod jus take ur ipod to an apple exoert n he will solve ur problem .

Device Driver Installation on Virtual PC XP mode

I am having Windows 7 Professional setup. I have installed Windows Virtual PC XP Mode on it. I need to access USB for connecting my Windows Embedded device with Visual Studio Platform Builder which has installed in XP mode. Using USB over network
tool i have tried to make the USB device to be accessible from XP mode and tried to install APX USB driver in Virtual PC.
I got this notification from the installation setup "Could not start the Hardware" . Also checked this USB device installation with other XP pc. There it worked fine.
Is there any option to make the USB device accessible from virtual PC ?

To redirect a USB device to a virtual machine
Attach the device to the physical computer and turn on the device.
From the virtual machine window, click USB and then click
Attachdevice name. Windows looks for and tries to install the device driver in the guest operating system. You also can install the driver from the Internet or from a CD.
After the driver is installed, you can use the USB device from within the virtual machine the same way as you would on a physical computer. However, USB devices that are connected using these steps are not shared, so they must be released from one operating
system to be available for use on the other operating system.
To make the USB device available on the host operating system, release it from the virtual machine. From the virtual machine window, click
USB and then click Releasedevice name.

Do you already have a driver developed for this PCI board? You can access .dll's and call their functions from LabVIEW if you already have a .dll for this board developed. Otherwise, I would recommend using the VISA Driver Development Wizard. Hope this helps!

W700 Win7 RTM device driver

I don't know if I should say my problem is solved, or just successfully avoided. I created a Win7 install on USB memory stick, and that installed without any problem. And, there doesn't seem to be any issue accessing the DVD drive at this point. So, please disregard the question I posed below.
Hello. I am trying to install Win7 RTM on my W700 (model 2757-CTO) and I very quickly get stopped on install with a prompt to install a device driver for the CD/DVD (I have the model GBW-B10N Blu-Ray drive). I have not been able to find a device driver that it will accept. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
I see enough questions/answers here from people with W700s that have made it farther in getting Win7 installed, so I think I must just be missing something!

First, my officejet 4500 all-in-one installed and is working perfectly with wireless; however, I have for months still/have been getting the error/uninstall window continuously, telling me install was not successful, but again, printer, scanner, etc., working fine! But this "the installation was not successful" window is ALWAYS up or if I ctrl-alt-del and get it to end now, it comes back up; I have even let it do its thing, finish, restart, but it ALWAYS comes back up, trying to find a solution, etc. BUT MY PRINTER IS WORKING FINE! Please help me get rid of this; also, the file that it puts on desktop to troubleshoot, etc then delete afterward, I have deleted it, but this "unsuccessful" keeps trying to uninstall, reinstall; and as I said, actually went through all the steps to get it gone (printer working fine) but it will not go away! Can't install Windows 7 Pro x64 - device driver missing - can't eject DVD

I am trying to install Windows 7 Pro x64 - I create the partition in boot camp and start windows install process. **During the Windows install process**, it says "A required CD/DVD device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now. Note: if the Windows installation media is in the CD/DVD drive, you can safely remove it for this step".
Apparently the drivers are on the OSX install DVD. But, there is no way to eject the windows DVD! Why on earth is there no manual eject on Macs? Is there another way to eject? I tried to put a paperclick in the slot next to where a CD is inserted but it didn't do anything. Is there another way to get Windows to see the correct device drivers?
I am all for clean slick designs, but when it does not have all required functionality, it is kind of useless.
I am talking to Mac Support and they can't help.
Looks like I will have to return this Mac, I also need to boot into full Windows (without Parallels or VMWare) to do my work.

You don't mention what Mac you have, so I'd have to say there is almost no way to help.
IF the 7 Pro x64 came download ISO thru EDU, you have to burn it, and if you use Disk Utility, at 2X reduced burn speed... otherwise it won't work.
A VM isn't fussy and can use ISOs.
If you want both native and VM, to have Windows installed on its own hard drive and use it under OS X, then you have to install it and use Boot Camp Assistant.
I'd say it is all about your DVD media.

Install Device Driver Software for Palm TX

My new notebook has Windows Vista and I have had my Palm TX for almost two years. To install the Palm on my notebook I downloaded the version for Vista from Palm.com. When I went to synchronize the Palm with the computer during the installation the message kept coming back that "device driver software" could not be found. Where do I find the driver software? Is it on the original CD that came with the Palm? At this point I don't know what to do. Can someone help me with this problem?

When you upgraded to Vista, did you install over the existing XP install on the same PC or get a new computer with Vista?
If you upgraded over the existing install of XP, you may need to do a "clean" uninstall and re-install Palm desktop. You should be able to use the original CD that you got with the TX on the Vista OS.
Not sure why you are getting the 680 message. Did you ever have a Treo 680 or a handheld that is a different model than the TX?
Here are the "clean" uninstall procedure for Vista.
You should first make a copy of your data to have just in case something
happens. You can find your data files by going to Start --> Documents -->
Palm OS Desktop. Highlight your Palm Desktop username and right click and
copy. Then go to your PC desktop right click on a blank spot and select paste.
Now you want to uninstall Palm Desktop and remove everything that has to do
with Palm Desktop from your computer.
Go to the following locations on the PC and delete the folders listed below.
C:\Program Files\Palm or Palm One
C:\Users\[Vista Login Name]\appdata\local\virtualstore\Program Files\Palm or
PalmOne
C:\Users\[Vista Login Name]\appdata
*Note you may need to view hidden folders to get to appdata. To do that go
into your control panel and open folder options. Go to view tab and uncheck
hide hidden files.
Once this is done you will need to delete some registry keys from your PC Operating System.
Word of warning, going here and deleting the wrong thing can cause your PC
from starting up, crashing and deletion of programs and data. If you feel
you are unsure of yourself, see if you have a friend that can help you or a
PC technician that you can pay to help you. This procedure will show them everything they need to delete. To make sure we have a good copy of the current registry, we need to do a backup of the Registry.
Go to start on the PC, in the search field type "regedit.exe" without quotes.
Highlight COMPUTER, go to File --> Export. Should pop up with a Save As box.
Current location is fine, should be in My Documents or save to a location you will remember. In the file name on the bottom type "backup[todaysdate]" i.e. backup07072008. Next, the hard part.
The easiest way to make sure your working with the correct key, highlight the key i.e. palm quick install, and press delete on your keyboard. It will ask you, are you sure. Say yes. Do the same thing for all keys below.
If you make a mistake, stop what you are doing. And call a PC technician.
BUT do not turn off your computer.
The reg keys are as follows (Note: some of theses reg keys will not be here
but if they are delete them)
* HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\U.S. Robotics\Palm Quick Install
* HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\U.S. Robotics\PalmOne File Transfer
* HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\U.S. Robotics\Pilot Desktop
* HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Palm
* HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Palm, Inc.
* HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PalmDesktopAutorun
* HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\palmOne
* HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PalmSource
* HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\PalmSource or anything else that says palm
Next reboot your computer.
Then reinstall your palm desktop from the CD and do a hotsync. If it asks
you for a username and you synced your device before, put in 'test" if you
did not sync before create a hotsync name.
