Installing B1 Test Composer

Hi Trinidad
Thakns a lot for your first response.
Please find here my innitial Question:
I am Walter, a project manager from resource AG, a SAP consulting company in Switzerland.
Here in Switzerland we are using more SAP BestPractices. Nevertheless Iu2019m interested on the test Tool which was developed in the context of SAP B1.
I have downloaded version 2.0 an 2.3.
With both Iu2019ve got some problems.
 V2.0: Error when starting to record: Error 80040154
 V2.3: is always asking for .NET V1.1. I have already V3.5
On the SAP Community Network I could find your content to Version 2.0 of the Test Composer.
Therefore Iu2019m hoping to get some support from you:
I have Windows XP SP3, .NET 3.5 SP1, Visual Studio Express2008
Is there a chance to get this tool running, or what is your proposal?
Thanks a lot in advance for your help.
Best regards.
Now your answer:
SAP B1 Test Composer tool needs to be run together with SAP Business One version 2007, do you have SAP B1 installed in the same machine and running before you press record?
In SDN the latest version delivered is V2.0, where did you downloaded version 2.3?
Maybe you will need .NET Framework 1.1 as the installer was created with VS2005, you can just install it in your machine (even if you already have .NET 3.5).
Please find here my response to your answer:
We do not ha a B1 system. I was on the opinion, that B1 is a "normal" SAP R/3 and based on this, I was hoping to be able ro use the Test Composer also with a SAP BestPractices installation??????
The noxt point with the .NET 1.1!
As I mentioned, I have .NET version 3.5. Nevertheless, the installation tool ist asking for 1.1!
When I'm trying to install version1.1 I get the error, that a newer version already is installed on my machine!!!
Thanks a lot in advance for your support.
Regards.
Walter

Hi Walter,
SAP Business One is an application that is not an SAP R/3 component. It is a standalone software application (connected to a database and specific license server for B1)
The Tools that we have developed for B1 cannot be used with other SAP ERP systems and then cannot be used with SAP Best Practices.
If you don't have SAP B1 installed in your machine you will not be able to run any of the tools published here for B1, sorry.
There is an application called B1i that allows to connect B1 systems to SAP R/3 information for Headquarters using R/3 and subsidiaries using B1. SAP R/3 components and B1 application are completely different and separated.
Best Regards
Trinidad.

  • B1TC (Business One Test Composer) is available!

B1TC (Business One Test Composer) is an automation
testing tool for B1. It provides a simple way to record
and replay scenarios for testing purposes, but it can
also be employed in many other use cases. It complements
B1DE and B1TE to form a complete set of development and
    testing tools.
You can download it from SDN at

As usual the setup comes with the source code as well,
under the SDN license schema. The setup contains all the
user documentation and also internal design details.
We have created a SDN Blog for B1TC at

    Strange...
I have installed Intrastat addon in my machine and I started it.
    I have B1 2005 SP01 PL12 and instrastat version is 6.80.01.30 (the last one I have found)
Are you working with the same versions?
If I try to record the same actions as you:
    1. Click on Sales-A/R menu
    2. Click on Sales Order menu
    (it opens Sales Order form)
    3. Stop recording
I can only see 3 lines (your first 3) and not the Set Matrix lines...
In the matrix columns for the UDFs I cannot see any Formatted search associated... if I press Shift + alt + F2 there is not FS.
The only explanation can be the B1 or addon version?
Or do you have an extra configuration?

  • Install a Test/Dev instance for SAP MII.

    Hi,
I want to install a test/development instance for SAP MII on my laptop [2 GB RAM].
Per my understanding, for this i would need set up SAP NetWeaver CE instance and deploy SAP MII 12.1 component.
I also want do some custom development & integration with SAP through MII to SAP ME.
As per Master Guide SAP MII 12.1.pdf, we need to Install SAP NetWeaver CE 7.1 EHP1 SP03.
Since its a test/development instance can i install [SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.2 Developer Edition|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/downloads?rid=/library/uuid/a0a6bd7b-3dfc-2c10-eb95-aae0f777d4ab] and deploy MII.?
Or do i need to have some specific version of Netweaver CE.
Please let me know what are steps to install a Test/Dev environment for SAP ME/MII integration..
    Please advice.
    Thanks un advance.

MII 12.1 has not been validated on NWCE 7.2.  And MII 12.2 is validated on NW 7.3, skipping NWCE 7.2.  It may install fine, but you will most likely run into problems executing some of the functions and features of MII.

  • Functionality Testing Using B1 Test Composer Tool

    Hi,
I would like to use B1 TC for functional testing of our add-ons. Will it be possible for me to do the functional testing(add-on's expected against add-on's actual) of the add-on using B1 TC? Could anyone explain with some examples so that I can start with B1 TC.
Our add-on has a window that allows the user to filter and display BPs in the matrix. User can select a Payment Term from the drop down and click Refresh button. Then the BPs with matching payment term should be listed in the matrix/gird. Here I want to check whether the BPs listed is correct. How can I use B1 Test Composer to do this?
    Regards,
    Sam

    Hi Johan,
Thanks for the response. Let me explain the scenario to be tested using B1 TC in detail. The Payment Term combo in our add-on's Payment Term Update Utility form will list the payment terms ZPNET30, NET30, -Cash Basic’ etc. On selecting one of these values (say NET30), the matrix in the form is expected to list only those BPs with matching payment term(NET30). Here I need to ensure that all the BPs listed here are having the same payment term as ‘NET30’.
While recording this action using B1 TC, let us assume that the BPs listed in the matrix are as in the below image.
But when I rerun the B1 TC script at some later time, the BPs list might vary because of addition of new BPs to the database or changing of payment term of the existing BPs. In this instance, the Compare Matrix function of B1 TC fails, as the expected matrix values are not the same when we re-run the script. But all the BPs listed will have the matching payment term(NET30). So B1 TC reports a bug even if the functioning of the add-on is correct.
When I manually do the testing, I apply the filter and then load each of the BP Master Data to check whether the payment term matches the selected one in the form. Then I will change and update the payment term of the existing BP or add new BPs and again performs the filtering to check whether the search result is correct. Is there a mechanism with B1 TC to handle such scenario, like accessing each individual rows/cells of the matrix/grid and check the payment term of the BPs listed?

    Hi,
You can validate OID installation through 'opmnctl' and/or 'ldapbind'. You can access 'Oracle Directory Services Manager' through a browser using the url -
    'http://<host>:<port>/odsm/faces/odsm.jspx'.
Here is a link which shows screenshots of the overview of 'Oracle Directory Services Manager'.

  • Test Composer

    Hi,
My customer wants to delete some warehouse in his system.
Because every warehouse set to every item it will take too much time manually.
So I tried it with test composer, I made 1 scenario I recorded that I delete an appropiate warehouse at the Item master data.
It works fine, but my question: Can I set at the Test Composer to run  my recorded script to the last item? If yes how?
    Thanks: Vera
Edited by: Marc Riar on Feb 7, 2008 2:25 PM

The way to delete a warehouse in SBO is Data / Remove.
But it doesn’t work, if there is an item connected to the warehouse. So first you should remove this connection (in the Item master window / Inventory data with Data / Delete Row ).
The problem is that it is very time consuming when there are a lot of items and the Auto add all warehouses to new item is checked in the General Settings. And the SQL is for doing this more quicker.
(The Data / Remove is also necessary after this.)

  • Oracle VM server Install - Media Test on bootable CD fails

I have made 3 cd's on 2 different machines and when I run them to install the VM Server on a machine with a clean hard drive (ok irrelevant) I get an error when I try to run the Media Test. I have verified the checksums on the original ZIP files I downloaded and even downloaded a second copy of the zip to check it - I still get the error. I verified the CD as a part of the Burn process. (Note: I did do this on a different machine than I used to boot/read/install VM Server from.
Before you continue to read below - I guess my primary question is how safe was it to ignore the failure of the media test?
I created the cd with NERO 9 using Nero Burning ROM and selecting CD-ROM (ISO) when I drag the ISO file to Nero I get a message:
"You have added a single image file to an empty compilation. To burn the content of this type of image to a disc, please use the 'Burn Compilation'
    function from the main menu.
Would you like to close the current compilation and burn the image instead?"
When I say yes and take the option I get a disc that has the contents of the ISO broken into many files (as I would expect to make a bootable disk). When I say no and then subsequently Burn the disc (without adding any extra files) it creates a disc with one file (the original ISO) on the disc.
It seems like it is trying to verify the the checksum of the original iso file? Or am I missing something. I got frustrated and used the disc without running the media test and it seems to run fine and the VM Server that was installed on my hard drive boots up fine as far as I can see.
Please feel free to point me to a link that explains UNIX (I have used UNIX but have not installed a UNIX system since the early 1980's) boot disk setup - I feel that there is something I am not understanding.
On a similar note I have created the Oracle VM Manager disk with the same process as above to make it a bootable disk. The documentation says that I do not have a bootable version of the Manager disc. Should I have created a disc with the ISO file intact on it instead?
OK I just did some research and now I understand that ISO type files are an archive type (like zip or tar.gz??) that can have boot records on it. Hmm. OK after all of this long dissertation I understand the ISO now but why would NERO have me build a CDROM(ISO) that did not make the ISO bootable?

I have exactly the same problem with VM Server 2.2.0. I have downloaded the zip file a couple of times, burnt the cd using different computers and different cd-burning software, I have a pile of spoilt cd by my side, but the media check always fails.
The only difference is that, if I go on with the installation despite the media check failure, the software apparently is not properly installed. When I boot, I get the message "time went backwards", surrounded by a bunch of numbers, and then it all gets stuck.
It is the second time in a year that I try and fail to get started with Oracle VM. Maybe Oracle VM is only for experts. Well, I give up. I will go back to running Oracle on VMWare or Microsoft Virtual Server, which have always worked flawlessly for me.

  • Flashing ? No HD Found to install - Hardware Test ok though...

    White Macbook 07 (i think)
Had the dreaded flashing ? mark and i thought HD was fried as my previous post asking what hd i need to buy.
However, i have now managed to boot up using the cd but when i got to install it wouldn't let me choose a hd i.e there was not one. Disk Utility just bought up the install cd itself.
I've done a Hardware Test and it says no trouble found.
How do i get it to show a hd so it can install Mac OS on there? Or no chance and HD gone.
I have a copy of the important content so not too fussed about saving anything.
    Thanks for any help.
    Cheers

Thanks for your quick response guys.
If the Hardware Test has run with no problem rule out logic board failure or not?
Apple Service said it was probably either a HD failure or less likely logic board failure.
If its just the HD i fancy getting one myself and fitting as it doesn't seem that hard and will save me some money. But if its not that could be a waste of time and money.
What spec internal HD would a White Macbook need, i posted in another thread but not checked if anyone has replied?
    Thank you again

  • Installing Blackfin Test Integration Toolkit

    Hello
where can i find the necessary files (Blackfin Tookit.exe) to install this Toolkit for LabView Embedded Module for ADI Blackfin Processors board?
Are there further (free) Toolkits available for this board?
    Best regards,
    Johannes

The Blackfin test integration toolkit allows you to use LabVIEW on
Windows to connect to a board with an ADI Blackfin on it so that you
can control the Blackfin on the board. Using
this toolkit, you will be able to automate
the Analog Devices (ADI) VisualDSP++ development environment and
communicate bi-directionally to your Blackfin processor using
Background Telemetry Channels (BTCs). It's typically used by test or
design engineers who want to test their hardware or the C code running
    on their Blackfin.

  • Install a test JSP Web Server on a mac for a PHP developer

I am looking to write some simple JSP pages. I need a Java web server and the development kit [JSPWDK or is it JSWDK?]
I have only Java SE 6.0 installed on my mac. I have Snow Leopard OS.
I had trouble in the downloads finding the right one, but I downloaded the

I was looking for a regular UNIX JSWDK and didn't find one?
Will the Solaris Sparc version work for a mac?
I have apache on my mac. I normally use PHP but for a web project.
    I need the JSP server.
Can I install the JSP Server on my mac along with the Apache server. This is only for development.
I have got Zend Framework for PHP running on my mac so I don't want to mess up too much for this test.
Thanks for any advice or any pages anywhere to help but I can install from a tar file if there isn't too much configuration.

    Hi,
If you need to install a full development environment with Tomcat in Mac OSX take a look at my tutorial at http://jmaw.blogspot.com.es/2012/08/minimo-entorno-de-desarrollo-java-mac.html. The blog has translation if you need it.
I hope I can help. Also you can. Install both servers taking care of the ports, usually Tomcat listens requests by the port 8080 while Apache server listens requests by the default http port 80.
