Installing B2B (10.1.2.0.2) on SOA Suite 10.1.3.3
Has anyone installed B2B on the SOA Suite 10.1.3.3? We would like to consolidate our tiers and wanted to know how we can install B2B on 10.1.3.3 (SOA Suite).
Please refer to Installation best practice document.

Steps to install AIA with Agile PIP on EBS on SOA Suite on a cluster
Would appreciate confirmation on the steps to install AIA with Agile PIP on EBS on SOA Suite on a cluster.
What versions are you working with?
If 11g, check out the following guides:
Enterprise Deployment Guide: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/core.1111/e12036/toc.htm for an best-practices approach to implementing an Enterprise Deployment
AIA Foundation Pack Installation Guide: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/doc.1111/e17949/toc.htm
At the AIA Foundation Pack Overview on Oracle Technology Network (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/foundation-pack/overview/index.html) you can find the SOA-FP Cluster UPK which will give you a guided overview of performing a basic two-node cluster installation.
Once you have a complete SOA/FP installation on your cluster, then you can work on installing the Agile PIP. -
Hi,
I've downloaded Zip files "CD1" and "10.1.3.5.0 patch" (x86) from [Application Server 10g Release 3 (10.1.3.x) Downloads|http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/ias/htdocs/101310.html] . After installing the former, the latter won't install: the error message (in French) basically says that none of the patches in this PatchSet need to be applied...
The PatchSet's readme file says: "This patch set is cumulative and includes all of the fixes from Oracle Application Server 10g Release 3 (10.1.3) Patch Set 1 (10.1.3.1.0), Oracle Application Server 10g Release 3 (10.1.3) Patch Set 2 (10.1.3.2.0), Oracle Application Server 10g Release 3 (10.1.3) Patch Set 3 (10.1.3.3.0), and Oracle Application Server 10g Release 3 (10.1.3) Patch Set 4 (10.1.3.4.0)."
I don't know why the patches won't take effect; maybe because I have Oracle XE installed, in a more recent version (10.2.0)? I'd appreciate any help on this.
Thanks,
Chris.
Edited by: gers32 on Nov 4, 2009 5:09 AMThe original error message is in French: "Aucun des patches de l'ensemble Oracle Application Server PatchSet 10.1.3.5.0 ne doit être appliqué."; it basically means "None of the patches in Oracle Application Server PatchSet 10.1.3.5.0 need be applied.". But I suspect it's got to do with the fact that I did not run the scripts as ORABPEL and ORAESB.
The initial SOA 10.1.3.1 installation instructions say:
"If you are performing an advanced installation of the J2EE Server, Web Server and SOA Suite install type, you must install the ORABPEL, ORAESB, and ORAWSM schemas into your Oracle database before you begin the installation."
But I ignored that, since I did a default installation...
So before I start over with this, and since I'm only trying to get HTTP_Server, is there a simpler solution? Maybe I should go with an 11g solution, since I suspect it would still be compatible with my local 10.2.0 and my customer's 9i databases? But which one? The information on the Oracle Web site is overwhelming, and it took me a while to figure out that I needed to install SOA Suite in order to get HTTP_Server... -
Is Basic Install of 10.1.3.1 Sufficient for SOA Suite Tutorial
Hi there. My knowledge of Application Server is pretty basic. I've been trying to setup for the SOA Suite Tutorial. I installed Database Express Edition installed for the SOADEMO schema then ran the Basic install of SOA Suite on Windows XP without the firewall up and no DHCP.
When I run through steps in the tutorial I am unable to establish a connection to the application server. Checked the Port which is 6003. In the test of the connection I get refused a connection and a suggestion to check if OPMN is running, which it is.
I am wondering if I need the HTTP_Server web server installed as well (not installed with the Basic install). Any ideas? Maybe the tutorial only works with the Advanced Install of SOA Suite!Reinstalled basic installation of SOA Suite. Am able to establish connection to DB in JDeveloper. When I follow the procedure in SOA Suite Tutorial to establish JDeveloper connection to the application server I get the following error when testing connection (note pipsqueak hosts SOA Suite - separate machine to JDeveloper).

Can I install two versions of SOA suite using same Oracle database
Condition:
I installed Weblogic server(10.3.5) and SOA Suite(11.1.1.5), and
I used RCU 11.1.1.5 to create the schemas(Oracle DB 11g-111170) for it.
Plan:
Now I plan to install another Weblogic server(10.3.6) and SOA Suite (11.1.1.6)
and I will used RCU 11.1.1.6 to create the schemas for it.
Question:
Can I use same database(Oracle DB 11g-111170) for the two versions of SOA Suite? that is
Can I Run the RCU 11.1.1.6 to create the schemas for SOA Suite (11.1.1.6) on the oracle database server I already used for SOA Suite 11.1.1.5?
If I can use same database for the two versions of SOA Suite, how can I resolve schame name conflict?Hi
1. YES. You can absolutely use SAME DB to have multiple Versions of SOA Schemas.
2. Any SOA/BPM will need basically 4/5 schemas like SOAINFRA, MDS, ORABAM, ORASDPM etc. based on what you choose. And each of these Schemas can be Prefixed. Default prefix is like DEV, so schemas are like DEV_SOAINFRA, DEV_MDS etc
3. Very Simple. When you Run RCU 11.6 and give the same old db details, in next screen it will automatically show the new Prefix for the schemas it will create. If DEV is used, it will show DEV1 like that. So just choose a Different Prefix and you are good to go.
I have the same thing on my side. Single Database. Multiple RCU for SOA 11.5 and SOA 11.6 with different Prefixes:
SOA 11.5 -> DEV115_SOAINFRA, DEV115_MDS, DEV115_ORABAM etc
SOA 11.6 -> DEV116_SOAINFRA, DEV116_MDS, DEV116_ORABAM etc
I Used the Prefixes like DEV115, DEV116 so that I know exactly which version of RCU schema they refer to.
For QC, UAT, PROD we used prefixes like QC_*, UAT_*, PROD_* etc.
NOTE: When you drop the schemas for some reason, make sure to give the appropriate prefixes so that only they are dropped and not others.
Thanks

How to install B2B Apps locally - Pre Dev settings -setup dev environment
Hi All
Need your help: to customize CRM WebChannel B2B App, I just installed NW developer workspace. The next step I guess is to setup / install B2B Apps locally on my pc. Can some one guide me how to? Any documentation / advise about how to setup development environment?
Thank you very much in advance, JinHello Jin,
1. NetWeaver Java Application Server
Do you already have the SAP NW Java Application server? (J2EE server) if not get that from Service Market Place /swdc.
Download --> SAP Installations and Upgrades --> Entry by Application
Group --> SAP NetWeaver --> SAP NETWEAVER
and install the Developer Edition of the version of your choice. You may need to get them from Solution Manager or seek your Basis team's help
2 Deploy E-Commerce application components and configure
After this installation of NW Java AS developer edition, you can deploy the E-Commerce Java applications. The SCA files required are listed in the enhancement guide. They include files required in step 4 also. You can find them here in /swdc
Support Packages and Patches --> SAP Application Components --> SAP CRM --> SAP CRM 2007 --> Entry by Component --> CRM Application Server Java
You may need to get them from Solution Manager or seek your Basis team's help
3 Install NWDS (if not already done)
It is possible it is already done as a part of the NW Developer Workplace installation.
4 Setup enhancement project
Use the existing NWDI and import the tracks locally to your PC / laptop for making enhancements. Refer: Extension Guide and other documents to create tracks in NWDI. -
Hi,
We have so far installed the infrastructure/mid tier instance for the B2B Appserver 10.1.2.
We have also installed infrastructure (via IRCA) for SOA suite 10.1.3.
We are currently stuck at mid-tier install for soa 10.1.3 as it requires a higher db than the installed 10.1.2. We got a patch to upgrade (5251148). But we ran into errors here. listed below. any help would be of the greatest value.

ERROR: OPatch failed during pre-reqs check.
OPatch returns with error code = 150Hi Ramesh,
When I tried to click on the link to the thread you mentioned I get a message stating there is no such thread. Anyway, here are the steps I have followed:
1. Using the universal installer, I installed Oracle Application Server 10g J2EE and WebCache into C:\OraHome_3.
2. Using the universal installer, I installed Oracle Application Infrastructure 10g Metadata Repository only into C:\OraHome_6. I did not register with the internet directory.
3. I executed the steps you gave me to unlock the b2b password and set those other fields.
4. I am now trying to install B2B and I am installing it on top of the Oracle Home created in step 1 above. I am specifying the host name, port, and service name from the tsnames.ora that was created in step 2 above. -
Solicit guidelines to installing/starting the B2B manager as the install guide is unclear. Have a SOA suite install already on my desktop........
Actually let me be more specific as am terribly clueless J: Am listing below the steps listed in the guide and my doubts against the steps.
1. Database tier
Install Oracle database
(This is done)
Install Integration B2B repository
Execute REPCA
(no clue how to do this one)
Install the SOA suite Repository
Execute IRCA
(installed the SOA suite, but no clue on how to execute IRCA)
2. B2B App server Middle Tier
Install App server:J2EE/Webcache
(assume this is the oc4j_extended_101320.zip)
Install Integration B2B and point to database
(assume this is part of oc4j_extended_101320.zip)
3. SOA Application Server Middle Tier
Install SOA Suite and point to database (Step 1)

B2B Console "missing" in SOA SUite 11g R1 PS3?
I have a brand new SOA SUite 11g R1 PS3 installation, using the following installation steps:
OracelXEUniv
WebLogic Server 10.3.4.0
SOA Suite 11.1.1.2
SOA Suite 11.1.1.3
SOA Suite 11.1.1.4
Created a new single server domain using teh new 11.1.1.4 developer template
I can start the weblogic console, no problem
I can start the enterprise manager console, no problem
when I try to start the B2B Web Console http://localhost:7001/b2bconsole, or http://localhost:7001/b2b I get the 404 HTTP error - the console applicaitn is not found
Can someone, please, suggest what I am missing?
Thanks in advanceHello Michael,
I analyzed this issue and found that it is working as designed. Developers templates are designed for low memory hosts and hence certain applications like b2bui, composer, OracleAppsAdapter etc. does not get deployed by default. If a user wants to use these applications then he may target and deploy them manually from Weblogic Admin console.
As these applications may not be required for all users who installed SOA (because SOA installable contains many components of SOA like BPEL, Mediator, Rules, Workflow, B2B and BPM Suite as well and a developer may not be interested in using all these applications), so these apps does not get deployed by default.
For the benefit of other users of this community, I have blogged about the same here where you may also find steps that how to enable these applications -
http://anuj-dwivedi.blogspot.com/2011/02/b2b-consolesoa-composer-not-opening-up.html
Thanks for bringing this issue up here in this forum.

Issue with B2B Simulator for testing Healthcare Integration in SOA 11.1.1.6
Hi All,
I've installed the healthcare integration patch on top of SOA 11g PS5, and am now trying out the integration scenarios as detailed here . When running the B2B simulator as detailed in the readme, I'm able to see that the ADT file is polled from /tmp/blite/test/in folder, but the same file is not put into the /tmp/blite/test/out folder as expected. Nor am I able to see the messages in the Healthcare UI dashboards, neither the SCA composite instance is instantiated in the EM console.
The simulator log generated by B2B simulator does not show any apparent error, except for a oracle.jrf.UnknownPlatformException: JRF is unable to determine the current application server platform. But the process seems to have gone ahead and also shows that the message sent count as 1. Has anyone tried this integration scenario in Healthcare? Any pointers would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

How to create users for B2B console in SOA Suite 11g?
Hi,
I have installed SOA Suite 11g and created a new user in weblogic server and assigned groups Deployers, Monitors & Operators. On trying to login(http://hostname:port/b2bconsole) using this new user, im not able to login and the below error is logged.
"There are no trading partners for this user".
Can someone plesae guide me on how to create a new user for B2B as i dont want to grant adminstrators group to developers.
Thanks,Hi,
Please login as the weblogic server boot user into b2bconsole and then go to users tab of the host trading partner
and search for the newly added user [ provide full username ]
and then assign the role as administrator / monitor from there.
once this is done.. the newly added user should be able to login to the b2bconsole..
monitors have read only access and less priveledges..
Regards,

SOA Suite 11g installation - B2B issue
Hi guys,
I just installed windows SOA Suite 11g on my machine. When I access the B2B and try to create a new version, I get the following error:
MDS-00522: failure to save document /soa/b2b/doc_EDI_X12.xml to the metadata repository
ORA-01573: shutting down instance, no further change allowed
ORA-01573: shutting down instance, no further change allowed
I am pretty sure that I need to change the configuration somewhere so that it does not save the file on some linux directory, but saves on my C drive somewhere. But I could not find the configuration location. I would really appreciate your help in this regard. ThanksSeems like it is a SOA Suite installation issue. I am closing this post.
