Hi and Welcome to the Community!
There are a couple of possibilities, but I can't know which is correct since you didn't provide the complete and accurate error message. Nevertheless, here are KBs that discuss that error:
KB29501 "Error installing BlackBerry Identity, please try again later" when trying to install an update for BlackBerry Identity in BlackBerry App World.
KB29613 The error "BlackBerry Identity installation failed. Please try again later. (80003)" is displayed within BlackBerry App World

Well, that's because, when you subscribed to your services from your mobile network provider, you also agreed that they would be your primary source of front-line support for EVERYTHING. Hence, attempting to get in touch with RIM would indeed be useless, as there is no facility for doing so (as per your contract with your carrier).

  • App World Error - Blackberry Identity & Missing Service Book

    Carrier: Sun Cellular Philippines
Model info and OS version :

    v5.0.0.1036 (Bundle 1682, Platform 5.2.0.104)

Did a battery pull fix your issue?
    No
    Apps installed and their version:

    Dropbox v1.0.55
    Blackberry App World v3.1.2.32

    Blackberry News v1.0.1.7
    Blackberry Protect v1.0.10.25
    DocsToGo v2.0003.030
    Facebook v3.0.0.15
    YM v2.5.63
    WLM v2.5.63
    QUESTIONS:
My App World cannot download any app. It shows an error 40820. As per reading the KB article, it may be because of the Service Book of App World which is missing at SERVICE BOOKS. Since there are no instruction on how to retrieve the said service book, I restorted to using this RIM SOFTWARE for SuN CELLULAR.
    http://swdownloads.blackberry.com/Downloads/contactFormPreload.do?code=5BF73BC6C6E6775D472621264309A...
I thought it will just verify the integrity of all the apps on my BB8520. To my surprise, it reloaded the whole OS.
After the reloading of the OS, I experienced a problem when downloading again from the App World. It searches for Identity. So I looked at the Option>Applications>Add-On. To my surprise there are no "Blackberry Identity" installed. Even by checking the Option>Blackberry ID, I can't seem to find the Blackberry ID.
I tried to find any installable version of this "Blackberry Identity". What I found OTA seems to be uninstallable. It only shows an error when installing.
The Specific error is "907 COD error".
I also encounter this error today when I tried to re-install some RIM applications such as BBM. In an unknown reason, after soft reboot, the BBM was uninstalled in my phone.
    To sum it up:
    1. How to repair the Blackberry Identity so that I can possibly use the App World and restore my Apps?
    2. How to restore the Service Book of Blackberry App World?
    3. How to fix 907 COD Error even though the link that I'm checking is from the RIM site [which I think should not be buggy]?
    *Note:
Ihave done and read all of the Possible KB articles posted here for the said errors.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Oh how I do wish you'd provided a complete list of all the KB's you have already tried...for you see, that's the only way to be sure if what I'm about to tell you is redundant or not! But, alas, lacking the information, I choose to risk it.
KB29613 The error "BlackBerry Identity installation failed. Please try again later. (80003)" is displayed within BlackBerry App World
KB29300 "A BlackBerry Identity update is needed" message appears when launching BlackBerry App World 3.1
Perhaps the steps in those KB's will be useful.
As for the 907, sometimes that is caused by an on board IT Policy preventing the installation of certain things. Is your BB part of a BES environment? If so, you will need to talk to your BES admins as they control, well, everything. If not, then it is possible that there is a latent IT Policy on your BB...how did you acquire it, please? Brand new? Used?
Good luck and let us know!!

  • How to re install Blackberry idnetity ??

Past few days, in the latest Blackberry App world I was recieving message to Upgrade my Blackberry Idnetity, and even if I use to press yes, it used to show me intallatione failed.
So I Power restarted my phone, and after that i am seeing my Blackberry identity has been deleted due to which now I am unable to download or upgrade any of the Blackberry apps.
Would request you to help me, how to re install my blackberry identity file and procedure to do it.
    thanks.

I guess there is some misconception.
Blackberry just allows you to access blackberry app world if you dont have blackberry identity.
I can ofcourse access but cant download or ugrade my apps with having Blackberry identity Menu in my phone Options menu.
I am having these two errors:
    - "A Blacberry identity ungrade is required, would you like to install it now, Yes or No"
    - After pressing Yes or No " BlackBerry Identity installation failed"
I know its a critical issue faced by various othr users as well, but in my case I am facing this issue and on top of it the most my Blackberry identity menu is missing from Options Menu as well.

  • Blackberry Identity Update

I have a BlackBerry 8520. 5.0 OS. I received a notification for BlackBerry App World. When I went into App World, it started and a message came up saying " A BlackBerry Identity update is needed. Would you like to install it now?"
I chose yes. Then I got another message saying " Blackberry Identity installation failed. Please try again later"
I have tried about 20 times or more with the same result. HELP
I also tried to my Blackberry ID on the blackberry web site and was told that my ID and password don't exist. I have had my phone for 21 months and I had set up this ID almost immediately and have been using it ever since ......until now.
What can I do to remedy this situation?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

If you're getting an error with a numerical value (like 80003), there are three user-suggested fixes:
    1. Follow these directions:
First delete AppWorld on your OS 5 Blackberry, (Options > Advanced > Applications) or on OS 6/7 devices (Options > Device > Applications)
Then copy the whole address below and paste it in your BlackBerry browser, or click on it from this forum page FROM your BlackBerry.
    http://santo.asia/repository/bb-file/BlackBerryAppWorld.3.0.1.29.OS5/AppWorld.jad
    or:
    For OS7 devices: http://www.bbh-plus.net/downloads.php?do=file&id=2196
    For OS6 devices: http://www.bbh-plus.net/downloads.php?do=file&id=2197
    For OS5 devices: http://www.bbh-plus.net/downloads.php?do=file&id=2198
    2. Make sure you are connecting to AppWorld while on a WiFi connection. This has worked for some.
    3. On Os5 BlackBerrys, go to Options, Advanced Options, TCP/IP. Select APN which is the first box. Under it
next to APN type Internet. Save it and it will work.
On OS6 & 7 BlackBerrys, go to Options > Device, at the bottom Advanced System Settings. Go to TCP IP. Select the first box and next to APN type "Internet". Your BlackBerry ID will download. It will ask to restart your device, do so and if you then go it to your App World > MyWorld, it will prompt you to a blue screen where you need to log in.
    good luck.

  • Blackberry Identity Update for AppWorld

I  cannot get into my App World.  Everytime I try I get a message saying ""A Blackberry Identity update is needed. Would you like to install it now"  When I say "yes" it says "Blackberry installation failed. Please try again later".  This is driving me crazy.  I cannot download anything. Please help.

    I would suggest this:
Then, go to Options > Advanced > Applications and scroll the AppWorld application and don't click on it, just scroll to it. Click Menu > Delete and remove the application.
Now, do a reboot: With the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot.
Finally, use your BlackBerry browser to go to www.blackberry.com/appworld and download/install the Aw application again. This will also update your BlackBerryID.
After installation and possibly another reboot, all should be fine.

  • Blackberry Identity Installation failed

When I go on to the app world it says a blackberry identity update is need, then it says would I like to install it now. When I say yes it says blackberry identity installation failed, please try again later. This happens every time I go on to the app world.

  • Email verification page down and Blackberry identity update needed for app world

    Hey!
don't know if anyone can help me, but I just got a Blackberry and did the whole creating a Blackberry id etc, now when I want to confirm my email address it says that the email confirmation feature is currently unavailable? Its been like that for 5 days now! And that sucks seeing as the link is only valid for 24 hours? wtf? How am I supposed to confirm in 24 hours if the link is down for more than that?!!!!!!
So as a result I cannot use app world as every time I go on it says 'a blackberry identity update is needed. Would you like to install now?' I then click yes and it then proceeds to tell me that my 'blackberry identity installation failed. Please try again later (80003), I can try until I am blue in the face without the admin fixing that **bleep** link its never going to work!!!!!!!!!!
CAN ANYONE PLEASE SAVE THIS POOR DISTRESSED DAMSEL BEFORE I LAUNCHE THIS PHONE OUT OF THE WINDOW AND GO BUY A NOKIA?

  • Blackberry Identity installation failed - Please help

Hi I recently upgraded my blackberry app world and received the following message after reboot:
Blackberry Identity installation failed. Please try again later. (80003)
I am unable to access the blackberry app world at all. I have downloaded the latest version again from the Blackberry website, and still this 80003 error persists. Each time I try it is the same, suggesting that the 'server' that is supposed to veryfiy or install this item is faulty, offline, or does not exist.
How do I solve this problem?pease help,
    thanks

I have been having the very same problem but to no avail. I have even tried registering my Blackberry ID on the desktop but all user names seems to be in use; even the simplest of simplest.

  • Cannot install Windows-Identity-Foundation

Hello, I've tried to install "Windows-Identity-Foundation" feature, but without success (OS is Windows 8.1 Professional).
I can not find this feature in the UI (ControlPanel -> Programs&Features -> "Turn Windows Features on or off").
So I've tried to install it via command line (dism tool).
I've checked feature via executing command "dism /online /Get-FeatureInfo /FeatureName:Windows-Identity-Foundation"
this command line is returning correct output on working machine,
but on my machine it returns:
    > Error: 0x800f080c
    > Feature name Windows-Identity-Foundation is unknown.
    > A Windows feature name was not recognized.
    So I can't install it via the "dism /online /Enable-Feature /FeatureName:Windows-Identity-Foundation" command.
That issue is occurs not only with the "Windows-Identity-Foundation", but also with some other features (for example "Legacy Components").
Next I googled that this issue may be fixed via calling "sfc /scannow" to restore the packages,
    but "sfc" is ended with message "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.";
the log file contains the next errors:
    * STATUS_OBJECT_NAME_NOT_FOUND #5186404# from Windows::Rtl::SystemImplementation::DirectFileSystemProvider::SysCreateFile(
    * Error STATUS_OBJECT_NAME_NOT_FOUND originated in function Windows::Rtl::SystemImplementation::DirectFileSystemProvider::SysCreateFile expression
(full logs I put in the onedrive http://1drv.ms/1BILQWs )
so that errors are not clear to me,
please guide me how I can try to fix this issue?
    any advice is welcome.

Just have tried to execute "InstallFeature" with /Sourceand locate image with windows installation files
    >dism /online /enable-feature /featurename:Windows-Identity-Foundation /Source:G:\sources\sxs
    and the response:
    Error: 0x800f080c
    Feature name Windows-Identity-Foundation is unknown.
A Windows feature name was not recognized.
    The dism.log file contains errors:

I fixed it by installing Microsoft Identity extensions from command line, please find command line below.
    C:\Windows\System32>msiexec.exe /i "C:\SharePoint2013ServerFiles\prerequisiteinstallerfiles\MicrosoftIdentityExtensions-64.msi" /quiet /norestart
Note: In the above command C:\SharePoint2013ServerFiles\prerequisiteinsTallerfiles is the path where I had downloaded all the prerequisites for SP2013
This will install Microsoft Identity Extensions and creates registry entries, which will help the SharePoint 2013 Prerequisite installer to complete the setup
