Installing BO XI R2 on windows 2003

Hi Guys,
Scenario - BO XI R2 Enterprise & Crystal Report X1 needs to be installed at Windows 2003 Server 64 bit machine connecting to Oracle 10g 64bit DB Server (residing in SUN Solaris 10 clustered environment)
But when i am trying to start CMS it is showing error
Failed to retrieve cluster name from the database. The database subsystem clould not be loaded......Failed to load library OracleDatabaseSubsystem.dll

But my exact problem is i have downloaded BO XI R2 from your portal and i believe that it is SP4 (Service pack).
Now my situation is like that i have Oracle Database 10g 64 bit (residing in SUN Solaris 10 clustered environment).
Now i want to Install BO XI R2 in a windows 2003 server 64 bit and want to connect to the SUN DB server. At the time of Installation there is no error but when i am trying to UP the CMS the error is coming "Failed to retrive cluster name from database... not a valid win 32 application". What is the way out.

After installing Crystal Reports XI on Windows 2003 server with one error... REGSVR sapldap.dll error. I had to regsvr it manually. Crystal still didn't run. Found out that Crystal Reports XI will not run until you change DEP to protect only windows program and services. Thanks.

Crystal Reports XI was not compiled with the nx flag as it released before Windows XP Service Pack 2 or Windows 2003 Service Pack 1.
As for the sapldap.dll. I'm not sure where this is coming from. I do not see this dll on my install, however it does come with the SAP portal integration kit. So I'm not sure if that is flying around somewhere on that server(?)

Why swap size error when I install ides ecc6.0 in windows 2003 x86

   I feel very confusion why the installation prompts me that "Swap size are not meeting condition" when I install IDES 6.0 in windows 2003 server x86.
   The ides type: ECC 6.0, MS SQL server 2005, Windows 2003 server x86.
   It's windows, not linux, where is the swap space?
   Could somebody give me a kindly help?

Hi,
In Windows, Paging File Space (Virtual Memory Space) concept is called as similar to Swap space thing in Linux/Unix OS. Both terms are used for virtual memory concept as per OS.
Minimum 20 GB of Paging File spaces is required for the SAP Installation on Windows. So ,allocate them from different drives or from single drive partition of your available Hard disk space.
Follow this path [to change your existing Virtual Memory or Page File size in Windows|http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc737315%28WS.10%29.aspx].
Control Panel -> system -> Advanced Tab -> Performance section-Settings -> Advanced Tab -> Virtual Memory ->Change

Error 1406 while installing SQL server 2005 on windows 2003 64 bit standard

When I am trying to install SQL SERVER 2005 on Windows Serevr 2005 i get the error code 1406
I tried using the script sql4sap.vbs. and tried to set the named instance.

I tried to install the database (sql server 2005) using the local admin password on another server which do not have the antivirus installed. I started the installation at 3:15 PM today and the installation is still in progerss

Solution manager key for installing ecc 6.0 on window 2003, oracle 10g

Hi,
I am installing ecc6.0 on windows 2003 platfrom with 10g oracle database. I have problem providing solution manager key during installtion in the window.
my db hostname is : deleted
sap system id : deleted
central instance number: deleted
can any one help me please.

It is illegal to provide keys here.
You have to install a solution manager first before you can install an ERP 6.0 system - or open an OSS call if your Solution Manager is not (yet) available.

Problem in installing Oracle 9i R2 on Windows 2003 Server Enterprise

We are having problem installing the Oracle 9i R2 Server on Windows 2003 Server Enterprise Edition. During installation, it generates error saying "The IP Address of the machine not found". When clicking the "Continue" button, it tries to install other things but few minutes later it asks to stop complete installation or installation of that feature.
But when we installed it on Windows XP it works fine and we have no problem in configuring it. What's the problem with Windows 2003 Server?
If we drop the idea of installing it on Windows 2003 Server, can we make Windows XP maching as a Server?

ORACLE asumes that the first network device you have on your server has a fixed IP address.
Is this the case?
If not so you should install a loopback adapter as network device with a fixed IP.

Cannot install jwsdp-1.2 on Windows 2003 Enterprise Server

We are trying to install jwsdp-1_2-windows-i586.exe on a Windows 2003 Enterprise Server system, but unfortunately we are not able to do this.
Even worse the installation program simply stops without any message at all. So we have no clue how to proceed. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm trying to install 10g on 2003 server x64, but everytime the progress window appears after getting the inital Orace Installer window, it just disappears, no messages.
Anyone have any ideas? I've got 1GB memory and about 100GB on hard drive available.

Mxmc-install.cmd do not work (windows 2003/oracle)

I'm trying to install the IC (oracle) as per Installation guide.
I have just installed a Nw 7.1 CE EHP1 with Oracle and so, I have a DB on my server (sid = IM1)
When I run the script mxmc-install.cmd, after i have put some pswd I receive som error.

Installing j2sdk1.4.2_10 on windows 2003 server

after finishing installing i do not find java.exe in the bin directory

I was having this issue myself. Luckily the 4.2 box was just being spun up to replace my 4.0 box. I dont think the server team here installed the patch before upgrading to 4.1. All I did to resolve it was:
Uninstall 4.2 completely.
Install 4.0.
Import 4.0 database from other server.
Install 4.0.1.27 found on the upgrade cd that came with 4.2
install 4.1.1.24 upgrade
install 4.2
Works like a charm for me now.

We have a network interface in database server which is used for communication between primary database and standby database (i.e. transfer archive or online log files from primary db to standby db). My question is: when we install Oracle clusterware should I use this NIC as “Private” or “Do not use”?

In the db server we have 4 NICs. One public and 3 private. We are thinking use 1 public and 2 private for clusterware. And the last private network card is just for communication between primary DB and standby DB. In this case, the best practice should be consider this last card as 'Do not use' rather than 'private', is this correct?
