Installing business content for 0MKT_DSO1/0CRM_LEAD_H

Hi
I am getting an error whilst installing the business content for any DSO/Infocube.
Grouping
In data flow before.
Error : Rule (target: 0GN_PAR_LSY, group: 01 Standard Group): Syntax error in routine
where as same DSO whilst acitivated wiht diff source system has no errors.
Old source system 199 - No error whilst acitvation business content - (SANDBOX)
New source system 200- error whilst acitvation business content - (DEV)
If Grouping
Only necessary objects are selected above error is not there.
But when after new transfer rules have been created and when infopackage is run, i get another error
error : DataSource 0CRM_LEAD_H is not defined in the source system
Now no data loads for new source system.

Hi hungryRaj:
On your source system use Tcode RSA6 to verify if DataSource 0CRM_LEAD_H is active, if not activate it using Tcode RSA5.

Install Business Content for Asset Accounting

Hi All
I am not able to install business content for Asset Accounting. I collected oFIAA info area with data flow before and afterwards and mode automatic. I checked the boxes for info objects, DSO multi providers etc and clicked installation and transport so as to get a transport request which I want to transport to production if all is well. It is prompting for a request which is already present and not allowing to change. I cancelled this process, created a new request in transport organizer and assigned the installation to this request. But afterwards it again prompted for the previous request and I aborted the process. What should I do to install the content as I don't want to transport a previous request since I didn't create it and I don't know what will happen if I transport. Sorry for the long story.

Some objects were already locked in the request , that could be the reason why It was prompting previous request number
Goto that request in SE09/SE10 - Remove the objects from the tasks or
Goto SE03 - Unlock Objects (Expert Tool) - enter request number and unlock all the objects from the request
Now goto Bus.content - Install and when it prompts for request enter new one
Note : I would suggest you to remove all the unwanted objects from old request though they are unlocked , In future it will be a problem if someone tries to use that request , or change description to do not transport so will people will think about this request not to use and transport

BI 7.0 install Business Content

Hi,
I am using BI 7.0, when I install business content for cube, even I select " in dataflow before", I can not see infoobject catalog. How can I install the catalog?

Source System Assignment while Installing Business Content

Hi,
I have a new R/3 source system in BW (one R/3 system already exists). When I'm installing business content for say an Infosource and before, even with a succesful install , the new source system assignment is not taking place in the infosource and neither are the packages (for the new source system) being installed. The datasource (for the new source system) remains unassigned.

with your new R/3 source system are you able to see the datasources - using right clik on source system & then select datasources overview. IF not then you need to check if the source system connection is done with metadata repository replication or not. If that is also done then ensure that you have installed all business content datasources using RSA5 in your R/3 system.
On BW side, while installing transfer rules and infopackages, make sure that this new R/3 source system is checked on in source system Box - X icon on business content screen. Then only you would be able to see transfer rules and infopackages & install them.

Error installing business content

Hi Experts,
i am getting an error while installing business content for sales and distribution.
i.e-The creation of the export DataSource failed,
The metadata for a DataSource must be created while the export InfoSouce is being generated. An error occurred at that time.

The DS should be Activated at R/3 to Install the Business Content on BI side.
Recheck the same with the following

RSA5--Activate the Data Source -- (RSA6 -- Transport the Data Source -- required if you want to replicate on BI Side)
BI Side
Business Content -- Install the same with required grouping conditions (Only necessary objects would be best option)

TM8 business content for BW

Hi all,
we are working with the new TM8 system and we'd like to extract some data from there to BW system.
Our BW system is SAP BW 701 with BI Content 704 (SAPK-70404INBICONT).
Is there a way to install Business content for ramp-up systems like TM8 on BW 701?
Any hint will be greatly appreciated!

As of SAP NetWeaver 7.0 BI Content Add-On 5 SP02, the following new business intelligence (BI) content is available for SAP TM 8.0.
So I guess if you have BI BI content 704, you have all the content for TM in your BI repository. You can check it from RSA1.

I am trying to install Business content for Investment Management & Travel management, I found the content in 3.x flow with Infosource. once I raised with SAP they also reply with 3.5 flow. I am doubt full to build with 3.5 flow because 3.5 flow SAP support date over on 31.03.2013. SO how they will support. Please put some light if some one have any idea.

Installing Business Content and Merge - Overwrites InfoSource - Very Urgent

Hi Gurus,
I was installing Business Content for a Cube with the grouping Data flow before using Merge/Copy option in DEV.
The cube got activated and all the objects associated with it. What I didn't realize was that the InfoSource used for the DSO of the cube was also used by a custom DSO which has already been deployed in QA.
So the transfer rules were only partially maintained and the content InfoSource merged with the active one. The DataSource for the custom DSO is from QA (a different R/3 from DEV R/3). The issue is that the custom DSO in QA is now linked to the installed (new) InfoSource belonging to the DataSource of the DEV R/3.
Please kindly guide on:
1. How to change the InfoSource for the custom DSO from the currently installed one to the original one? Can I deactivate the update rules and create new InfoSource and transfer rules for the custom DSO and transport it again to QA?
2. What are the implications this might have on the newly installed DSO & Cube?
All answers will be suitably rewarded.

Hi Swetha,
I am not too sure, if i understood ur problem correctly but,
If your BI QAS system is still good.. that means ur custom DSO is still linked to old version of Infosource in BI QAS.
The talk to ur BASIS guys and ask them to transport the Insource/Transfer Structure from BI QAS system to BI Dev system.
This can be done by creating a transport in BI QAS system, the type of transport should be Transport of Copies.
and also before importing this Trasnport from BI QAS in BI Dev System maintain an entry in BI Dev system RSA1>Tools>Conversion of Logical System names and put an entry as Source = ur BI QAS Logical System Name and target as ur BI Dev Logical System name.

Error in Installing the Business Content for 2LIS_06_INV data source

Hi Experts,
We are trying to install the Business content for 2lis_06_inv. When we replicate the datasource, we are not seeing it in 3.x version. It is only vailable in 7 version. There is no transformation available in Business content for this data source. Please let me know how we need to proceed with this installation. Should we install the 7.0 flow or 3.x flow? Follow bellow steps:
1. Goto RSA1.
2. Select the BI content.
3. Select the Grouping as' In Dataflow before and after'
Then,you can get the data flow which are haveing the DS/TR/Data targets.
4. Select the Install by setting the 'Install in background'.

Unable to 'set the default source system' to Install Business Content

Hi,
Maars here. This is my first post hoping that in future ones I'll also be lending a helping hand.
I am trying to 'Install Business Content' under the BUSINESS CONTENT section in txn RSA1. I am doing this after 'Transfer Data Sources' in R/3 and I can now see all the data sources (under the application component hierarchy) for the source system. But I am not able to see the Info Objects in the Business Content.
When I try to set R/3 as the default source system (got this screen after clicking a icon in the standard tool bar), BW is not saving the settings ie., I set the R/3 as the default and then click on OK. If I go back to the same screen again, I find that my settings were NOT saved.
Could you please help me out?

Hi,
It seems to be a bug in version 3.5.
Do like this:
After you open the screen to choose the dafault source system
Clcik on 3rd button(F6) available in the bottom of the scrreen.
And then select teh tick mark for required system.
And then click on Continue button
You have do this step before you drop the cube to right side of the cube.
Ok, even after all these steps , if you reopen the screen you would not see Tick mark u have done just before. DONOT WORRY ABT it.
Drag and drop required cube with dat flow before.
Now you can see the Transfer rules with selected Source system only in the collected Objects.

Problem in installation of Business Content for Solution Manager

Hi all,
I have a problem while trying to install the Business Content for Solution Manager. In detail, I cannot install/ see the Process chains. I am not much familiar with Business content installation, so maybe I missed and /or some step.
Following the instructions from SAP IMG (SPRO/ SAP IMG / Solution Manager / Configuration / Scenario-specific settings / Solution monitoring / BI Reporting / BI Client) , I activated the Datasource 0SM_SMG_ROOT , performed all the steps and installed all the relevant Business Objects (Infoobjects, Datasources, Infocubes, Infopackages, etc.). All the objects seen from transaction RSA1 seem correctly installed and activated.
The last step is the installation/activation of the Process chains. This step is executed, but the installation job terminates with messages like Infopackage 0SM_XXXX does not exist in D version; activation not possible. It seems like Process chains are looking for some Infopackage, and these are not present. They are not present indeed, and I dont know why. The result is that no Process chain is visible from transaction RSPC.
Am I missing some step, or doing a wrong/ incomplete procedure ?

Cube : 0CSRV_C01
DSO : 0CRM_PROH
DataSource : 0CRM_SRV_PROCESS_H
And apart from this there are some MD datasources, for BPARTNER, USER STATUS, CATEGORY etc.

Diagnosis
You have collected objects in the BW Metadata Repository. Associated objects for the object PA-PA-IO of type Application,APCO have also been collected. Object 0EMPLOYEE_EDUCATION of type InfoSource,ISTD was among these objects. This object 0EMPLOYEE_EDUCATION of type InfoSource,ISTD, is not, however, available in the Metadata Repository.

Diagnosis
You wanted to generate an object with the name '0EMPLOYEE_EDUCATION' (in transport request ISTD) of type 'InfoSource' (TLOGO). This is, however, not available in the BW Repository database. If the version is 'A' then the Object was either not created or not activated.

Not Able to Install Business Content Objects

Dear all:
We have installed BW 7.0 Dev environment in our server. Now we are trying to install BI content into BW. But when we moved to "Business Content",we only see several catalogs like technical content, BEx Personalization, BI Trace Tool, instead of standard Business Content for different business scenario. Is there anything else we should import into our new-installed BW 7.0?
