Installing CC on PC with no permanant internet connection

After months of deliberation I finally pulled the plug and decided to upgrade from CS6 to Adobe CC.
My question is whether there is a way to install this on two PC's without having to download the whole suite twice? As far as I can tell so far, all CC programs must be installed by downloading via the CC App. Is there a way to download on my laptop, then transfer the files via USB stick to my Desktop Workstation (which is not permanently connected to the web) and install with the installer .exe, as I've always done in the past, or do I have to download every program a second time using the CC App?
My plan was to use my smartphone as a wifi modem to connect my Workstation to the internet once a month for account verification, but this will not work to download and install ~10GB+ of software.
Even if I did have both PC's connected permanently to the internet, it would seem incredibly inefficient to have to download all the files twice. So, is there a way to avoid this?

At step 1 I click on the link and it gives me error - "413 Header Length Too Large."
Try clearing your browser cache.
When I try to click on any of the download links I get an Access denied message.
You must follow the Very Important Instructions on that page first BEFORE you click the download links.

  • How do I download 9.5 to install on a Mac with a slow Internet connection?

Prior to Mavericks and the latest iLife apps, I was able to download installers from Apple support to install on an eligible Mac that has a slow (and tolled by usage) Internet connection. The new App store downloads and installs in one step such that it only leaves behind the installed app (not the installer image). Suggestions?

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
Mac App Store applications don't need an installer. In the case of iLife applications, you can just transfer the iPhoto, iMovie or GarageBand application to another Mac by transferring the application from the Applications folder, and you will get the applications updated on your Mac.
If you haven't got another Mac with a fast Internet connection, you can only download the iLife applications with the slow connection

  • On a certain website, it says to click here to download plugin (Java). When executing the download, it says 'the installer cannot proceed with the current Internet Connection settings. I'm running 4.01. It was fine before the upgrade.

On a certain website, it says to click here to download plugin Java Runtime Environment. I receive the message installer cannot proceed with the current Internet Connection settings. It was fine before the upgrade to 4.01. I have another PC that has IE on it and it works fine and again it worked fine until the upgrade to 4.01. I've done the off-line download but in Firefox it still says I need the plugin and still results in the installer cannot proceed with the current Internet Connection settings.

You can install Java from here: http://www.java.com/en/<br><br>
You also need to update your Flash installation since the one you have at the moment exposes your system to attack. It's a similar story for Adobe Reader.

  • I'm having problems with my mobile internet connection

I'm having problems with my mobile internet connection. Wifi works fine. It seems like my connection get lost every tuesday and friday between 11 and 12 am local time (guess it would be between 2 and 3 am Los angeles time for example). The connection won't comeback by itself. I have to turn the phone, iPhone 4s iOS 5.0.1, off and back on again. The connection immediatly works fine after the restart and stays fine for days. I really don't know what to do. My provider doesn't seem to know either. Tried a lot of things, new settings, resets, I even got a new iPhone. Still the same problem however. Richt now I changes the time setting to see it the problem occurs at another time. Btw: the phone doesn't say "no service" and I can send sms messages and make phonecalls. The 3G symbol or the circular symbol is shown next to the name of the provider.
Does somebody has an idea what this might be? Thanks a lot.

Update. My carrier says the antenna of my iPhone 4s is not so good as the one in the iPhone 3G. They can't solve the problem. Their signal is too weak for the 4s at places I spend most of my time. Not the answer I expected, but I'm free to choose an other carrier. Hope this will help.
This was not the correct answer, I accidentially clicked the button..

  • HT204406 How long would you expect 90gbytes to take when uploading to Match -  with a fast internet connection.

After purchasing Match, the software analysed my library and determined that there were 3700 tracks that needed to be upload.  How long would you expect this to take - with a fast internet connection?
    Thanks

    HI tzbikowski,
    thanks for your message!
I added 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 to my DNS server list. This has definitely improved things. Pages are loading quicker now, but it's still far from the speed you would expect. Could you elaborate on what you mean when you say that the cisco settings should be correctly propagated onto LAN? When connecting to the Cisco router through the admin interface, it mentions two different DNS servers that the router appears to use (I guess those are provided by my ISP). Are you referring to these servers?
    Thanks!

  • Problem with not getting Internet Connect on AirPort Express

Problem with not getting Internet Connect on AirPort Express (version7.6.4). Error says cannot get valid IP address. Have reset Siemens SpeedStream 4100 several time, even with tech support from the big "A" DSL provider. Plug MacBook Pro directly into modem and works fine. Unplugged AirPort, even reset it, still no luck. A bad Express?? or am not looking in the right place to make connection. Was working fine up until Sunday.

Connect the AirPort Express (AX) to the cable modem via Ethernet cable.
In configuring the AX using AirPort Utility:
Under Internet, set the connection to be Ethernet using DHCP.
Under Connection Sharing, set it to distribute a range of IP addresses.
Under AirPort>Wireless, set the Wireless Mode to Create a wireless network, and fill in the remaining settings in the same window. Until you get it working, you might want to set Wireless Security to None.

Resetting Airport Extreme disabled my home network. Now when i attempt to get to internet with iPad, or iPhone, I see an Earthlink (ISP) window with message: The internet connection is currently in use by another computer (nun.nn.n.nn) Enter your DSL Account logon psassword to switch the internet connection to this computer. If I do that, other messages follow. I am usually able to switch connection, but can have only one device on internet at a time. Tried to correct problem using Airport Utility, but failed.

Unfortunately, there is mass confusion about whether a device might be a modem or a modem/router since the terms are mixed up all the time. Even though a device might have only one Ethernet port, it can still be a router.
    If this is your "modem".......
    http://reviews.cnet.com/routers/netopia-cayman-3341-router/4507-3319_7-30484785. html
It is not a modem.....it is a modem/router. If that is the case, then the AirPort Extreme is not the only router on your network....it is one of two routers, and it should be configured to operate in Bridge Mode.
Does this device appear to be your "modem"?

  • System problems with permanent internet connection

Days ago we contracted a broadband internet connection with the Chilean company "VTR", the connection is permanent, reason why the only way to stop it is to disconnect the Ethernet cable of the Mac. The point is that when the Mac is connected to Internet with an open app i can't open another because the Mac will "freezes". The solution is to disconnect the Ethernet cable and later open the application that is needed. There is a form to solve this, without disconnecting the Ethernet cable constantly?
eMac   Mac OS X (10.3.9)   1 GHz, 512 MB RAM, 40 GB HD

Having just gone through Hades getting a friend's wireless Airport to set up, I've concluded there is a great amount of plain old voodoo involved. What I finally did to make it work, I really do not know, as I tried so many things. However, the Airport Base Station has TWO different types of reset, and CORRECTLY doing the "total" reset was one of the keys to getting the three Macs to connect. Don't be afraid to try a complete re-do from the beginning including resets to defaults. Also, turning off everything and restarting sometimes also makes a difference. Another variation is to leave out the DNS settings, if putting them in doesn't work.
I was frequently at the step where the Mac was connected wirelessly to the router, but the router wouldn't go onto the internet for no apparent reason.

    HDD: 500GB

Then what is the IP to be Given, STATIC or DHCP... If static means whether it is manual or automatic.?
I don't know whether there is a way to do or am somewhere crazy or wrong, sorry if so.

I do not know what you mean by manual/automatic. You need to set up a fixed IP Address that does not change each time your reboot or reconnect to the network.

  • Installed OSX 10.4.3 And Lost Internet Connection ! Help Please.

I have posted this in the Tiger forum but know there is a lot of general expertise amongst FCE users (grovel, grovel!) and I only upgraded to Tiger so that I can get FCE 3.5 for this computer!
I have updated from 10.3.9 (Panther) to 10.4.3 (Tiger) on my eMac.
Everything appears OK except I cannot connect to the internet.
On finishing the installation I got an error message saying "Could not load login file".
Incidentally, during the installation I disconnected all peripherals including my USB Broadband "modem" (I can't remember the correct terminology).
My "modem" is a "Speedtouch" and in the dock I have an application named "Diagnostics" which has to open to allow the Speedtouch to connect to the internet.
    "Diagnostics" will not open.
When I look in my Network configurations the Speedtouch name has a red dot alongside and it is not connected.
If I open Network Port Configurations the Speedtouch name is greyed out and cannot be selected.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Ian.
PS. Luckily my iMac internet connection is OK !

Nope! I have nothing resembling a stingray or any other aquatic creature!
OSX 10.4.3 was successfully installed thanks to the resolution of the above hiccup and I have now downloaded and installed the OSX 10.4.7 Combo update which brings my OS to "state of the art" status.
I will now be able to install FCE 3.5 - if I can get round to parting with the cash!
Then we'll see what everyone's talking about.
    Ian.

  • Re-post: iMac with Mavericks loses internet connection (browsers only)

I posted this question a while ago. Noone answered. I'll try again since this is now becoming VERY annoying...
I have a very strange issue. My 21.5" mid 2011 iMac with Mac OS X Mavericks 10.9 has, since upgrading to 10.9 (and now 10.9.1), started to lose its internet connection from time to time (once a day).
It has full access to the entire local network AND the VM Ware Fusion Windows XP running on the same machine has full internet access. I can use apps like Skype - but no browser. I have Safari, Firefox and Opera installed - they cannot access ANY web site what so ever. App Store does not work.
The only way to restore the connection is to reboot the computer.
    - Re-starting the browsers does not help
    - Changing from Ethernet to WiFi does not help
    - Re-arranging the connections in Network Settings does not help
    - Renewing DHCP does not help
    - Setting the IP-address manually to something else does not help
    - Deleting the network in Network Settings does not help
    - Deleting the files "NetworkInterfaces.plist" and "preferences.plist" does not help
    - It is not a sleep issue. Sleep mode is OFF
    - It is not a DNS issue
    - The Mac OS X Firewall is OFF
    - The network settings for Max OS X and the virtual Win XP are identical except the local IP-address
    Please, someone, HELP ME!!

Here I'm having the same trouble... Exactly the same!
It's not a DNS problem, nor connection. All other apps still has internet connection, I can ping any domain, etc. But Chrome, Safari and Firefox are completely offline. It's terrible, because I'm always working and then I need to reboot to have internet on browsers again...

  • Downloading 4.3.2 with a dodgy internet connection?

    Hi guys,
Can someone post the link to the 4.3.2 direct download from http://appldnld.apple.com...
Or alternatively advise me how I might find it?
My internet connection is not stable enough to get all 670MB in one sitting unfortunately - too far from the exchange!
    Thanks,

OS X Lion includes a built-in restore partition, allowing you to repair or reinstall OS X without the need for discs.
Great.. now Apple assumes they know how to best partition my drives.
    I still want a disc.
How would one wipe a system completely and reinstall? I do this once a year at least. So now I'd have to install 10.6, download Lion, let it partition the drive and install.. which completely negates the drive wiping in the first place.
I'm reserving final judgement until I see exactly what's actually offered, but from Apple's marketing, the "app store for OS" move does not sound like it's a good thing for power users... just as full screen apps are not, nor launchpad (anyone remember Launcher?).
All these features may be wonderful for the casual user and a notebook..... but for professionals with multiple 30" monitors and intricate hardware setups, it's just plain silly.
