Installing Conversion Agent studio

Hi
We are on XI 3.0 SP18 and want to try out using conversion agent 1.0 for a scenario.
I downloaded file SAPNWCM18_0-10003671.sca.zip from service.sap.com and then try to install converstion agent studio on my Windows XP desktop - as per instructions - I am asked to extract the ConversionAgent.sda file - and then run one of the *exe file that was extracted from the sda file . However I do not see any exe file in the contents of the ConversionAgent.sda file - Is this the sda file that contains conversion agent studio and the conversion agent engine ? If so, how do I go about installing the studio and the engine on my desktop - ?

Thanks for the reply. In my case, when I extract the ConversionAgent.sda file using winzip - I do not see any *exe file in the extracted files - I see only the following four files
Setup_Aix.bin
Setup_Aix.bin_imp
pathWithoutDot
wc
along with a couple of folders assemblies and Meta-inf.
Just to repeat, I downloaded the SAPNWCM18_0-10003671.sca.zip file from service market place for my aix 64 bit system on which XI resides. I get my ConversionAgent.sda file by extracting the above zip file

Conversion Agent Studio in XI

Dear All,
I am working in a XI development project and here I have a scenario to convert the PDF document (Purchase Order) into XML document and use the same to create a sales order by using Process Integration.
For the above scenario, I found that we need to install Conversion agent studio in SAP PI system and use the same to generate the XML out of PDF document.
I have already deployed the software in SAP Netweaver. Now I have no idea how to use this software and where I will get this in my SAP NW system.

Qery related to Conversion Agent Studio installation

Hi All,
I have a query related to Conversion Agent. We have downloaded the SAPNWCM20_0-20001444.SCA file and installed the conversion agent engine on SAP XI J2EE engine which is basically installed on Sun Solaris system.
I want to use conversion agent studio at a remote place on Windows OS 32 bit system.
Please help me
1) how to install the <b>conversion agent studio on windows 32 bit system.</b>.
2)<b> Is it possible to install conversion agent studio on Windows 32 bit system because Conversion agent engine is installed on Sun Solaris system.</b>

SAP Conversion Agent Studio Preview Version

Hi,
Does anyone have knowledge about SAP Conversion Agent Studio Preview Version?
I've downloaded it from SDN and it says it comes with an Eclipse version, but i doesnt.
When i try to point it to my existing Eclipse it says it needs version 2.1.2 oe 2.1.3. of Eclipse, but these are quite old. They can be downloaded from a 2004 archive site. (?)
Are there newer version of the SAP Conversion Agent Studio Preview Version?
Any suggestions are welcome.

Installing Conversion Agent: warning message

Hi,
When installing the Conversion Agent I get a warning:
All corrective software packages for SAP NW 7.0 are only available via Maintenance Optimizer in SAP Solution Manager.
Does anyone know why this is?

Try to install it on your local machine, I hope there it will not give you warning message.
Installation on PI 7.0, take the help from BASIS Team.

Conversion Agent Error - CMException

Hi ,
We are trying to map an excel file to another system using conversion Agent for transformation. We have created the transformation in the Conversion Agent Studio and deployed the service in our integration engine on XI Server(in the serviceDB folder).
But the file is not getting transformed and the message is failing in the communication channel only giving the below errors . ( Runtime WorkBench - > Communication Channel monitoring ) .
The source file is getting picked up from the respective folder where it has been placed, and also the TransformBean is being called too.
"Attempt to process file failed with com.itemfield.contentMaster.CMException".
"Transformation failed : CMException : Failure while trying to create engine log .
D:/ConversionAgent/Log/Init/Events.cme"
Please let us know what parameters we have missed out due to which we are getting this error.

SAP CONVERSION AGENT - XPATH not found in DATA HOLDER?

Hi Eperts,
I'm trying to work on this Tool, getting some problem in Conversion Agent Studio..
I Had created my project with PARSER in Conversion Agent, source file will be Pipeline separated Text File , which has multile rows...And I had created XSD for my Message Interface in XI..
When i'm defining my ANCHORS/MARKERS/CONTENT/ .
getting error in DATA Holder, I'm not able see my Schema / XPATH in the respective namespace...
Could anyone can guide me pl.

SAP Conversion Agent: HL7 library project could not be executed

I'm using SAP Conversion Agent version 4.3.0 on a PI 7.0. I'm trying to use a HL7 library project. On the Conversion Agent Studio side everythings works fine: the library project is created and a test of the service with a local HL7 file was successful. After that I make the project on the Conversion Agent Studio available and copy the project from the local \SAP\ConversionAgent\ServiceDB directory to the PI Conversion Agent ServiceDB directory.
So far so good... but when I try to execute the CA project via File Sender Adapter the following error is thrown:
"Invalid service 'TEST'. Check service name and service database"

I am doing an IDOC to EDI File scenario, and EDI Conversion using Conversion agent. I have designed the Serializer from the standard library in Conversion agent studio. I need to to add the Line wrap for the output EDI file. How can i do this in Conversion agent studio?

Conversion Agent and the module processor

Hi,
i have to make an offer for a client of ours. Therefore i was thinking to propose the conversion agent for developing a process module into the inbound communication channel in the XI-Scenario.
But i think i understand sth wrong or does this module substitute the normal mapping inside the XI?!
Can someone give me a hand?!

Conversion Agrent is used to convert non XMl data into XML and vice versa.
For example it can read a PDF, EXCEL and conevrt it into XMl and also convert XML into EDI formats etc etc.
You use the conversion agent studio to develop the conversion mapping and then deploy it as a module. From the comm channel you call the Conversion Agrent Module which in turn runs on its own Engine and does the conversion for you.
So, if possible, you can also use conversion agent to actually read your source and create iyt in the format of the target and thgerbey replace Mapping. But, it all depends on the feasibility of what you are trying to do.

Conversion Agent Deployment ?

I have deployed all the required component for Conversion Agent in PI system using SDM and all successfully.
1. CM_JavaAPI.sda
2. CM_RemoteSupportInterface.sda
3. CM_TransformModule.sda
4. ConversionAgent.sda
But then how to deploy my project from Conversion Agent Studio to the PI server. I have went through some of the blog and i have to copy the project directory to ServiceDB in the PI server.
Could anyone help where i can found the ServiceDB in the PI server ?

ItemField Conversion Agent - ContentMaster Studio

Hi
I'm trying to convert an XI-XML Message to HL7-XML Message and not HL7 Flat file . I would like to use ItemFiled ContentMaster Studio and develop a Serializer to read the XI-XML Document and Convert it to HL7 XML Document which needs to sent across to FDA . I trying to get some material on creating Serializer i couldnt find any . If somebody could give me some link or some ideas it would be great . I did come across a white paper written by Prasad Illapani which is using library for the HL7 . Unfortunately my requirement is not there as part of the standard library .
eMDR - Electronic Medical Device Reporting Using HL7 for Individual Case Safety Report . (HL7 ICSR XML File) .

Conversion agent; CMException: Request IF_EXEC2 returned null

I'm trying to use a conversion agent serializer to ouput a file from PI 7.1 and am getting the above message in the receiver comm. channel monitor. No idea what it means.
This is my first use of conversion agent, so I'm not sure that everything is correctly in place, but the Conversion agent console set-up test works, and I've followed all the blogs I can find so I'm reasonably happy with it.
Executing the script from the CM console gives me the transformation I want, so my serializer seems OK.
The PI configuration scenario works fine if I use a receiver channel without the CMTransform bean module (i.e I get an xml file output), so that's OK.
I get nothing in the NWA logs.
I'm running out-of-process (64 bit PI system) and the console config looks OK per the admin guide.
Any ideas folks ?

That's an odd thing.
When I run it in studio, it completes without any obvious error, but there's no "results" file.
We had initially installed the 32 bit version (when I was on XI 3.0), and I ran the studio on the XI machine and the results file showed in studio. But now, my studio is on my PC (not the PI machine).
However, all that aside, when I execute the CM_Console with my project I get exactly the output I expect...so I'm sure that the serializer is OK.

** Itemfield Conversion - ContentMaster Studio Eclipse - error when create

Hi friends,
I have installed 'ContentMaster Studio Eclipse' software in our system. It throws the following error when we click File --> New --> Project.
Error:
Internal error logged: Could not create IFCMFramework. CFramework control.
Error details can be found in log file.
Unable to read workbench state. Workbench UI layout will be reset.
Eclipse:
Problems during startup. Check the ".log" file in the ".metadata" directory of your workspace
What could be the problem ..?

Help for Using Itemfeild Conversion Agent

Hi all,
i have read several blogs and formus on the use of Conversion Agent software for performing EDIXML To EDI format conversion. Here is the problem i have.
we are doing an IDOC to File scenario and in the Filesender adpater we need to configure and module which does the necessary conversions(EDIXML to EDI-834). I created an Serializer using Content Master Studio and deployed the project to the Content master Engine on the XI server. When i give the transformation paramters which are mentioned in the blogs below

There are no erros shown in the SXMB_MONI or either in the Adpater Framework, but the target file is not being created. can anyone please advice me about how the module name should be set in the File Adpater(SP 17) and how can i check the erros in the conversion module in XI.
