Installing Conversion Agent: warning message

Hi,
When installing the Conversion Agent I get a warning:
All corrective software packages for SAP NW 7.0 are only available via Maintenance Optimizer in SAP Solution Manager.
Does anyone know why this is?

Try to install it on your local machine, I hope there it will not give you warning message.
Installation on PI 7.0, take the help from BASIS Team.

Installing Conversion Agent studio

Hi
We are on XI 3.0 SP18 and want to try out using conversion agent 1.0 for a scenario.
I downloaded file SAPNWCM18_0-10003671.sca.zip from service.sap.com and then try to install converstion agent studio on my Windows XP desktop - as per instructions - I am asked to extract the ConversionAgent.sda file - and then run one of the *exe file that was extracted from the sda file . However I do not see any exe file in the contents of the ConversionAgent.sda file - Is this the sda file that contains conversion agent studio and the conversion agent engine ? If so, how do I go about installing the studio and the engine on my desktop - ?

Thanks for the reply. In my case, when I extract the ConversionAgent.sda file using winzip - I do not see any *exe file in the extracted files - I see only the following four files
Setup_Aix.bin
Setup_Aix.bin_imp
pathWithoutDot
wc
along with a couple of folders assemblies and Meta-inf.
Just to repeat, I downloaded the SAPNWCM18_0-10003671.sca.zip file from service market place for my aix 64 bit system on which XI resides. I get my ConversionAgent.sda file by extracting the above zip file

I the Dragon Dictate Plugin Safe to install? A warning message came up

I recently received a message from Dragon Dictate (Nuance) asking me to install a new plugin. When I went to do so a warning message came up saying that the plugin was not fully compliant with standards and that it might allow outsiders to access my personal data. All comments are welcome.

Assuming you are using that program, should probably contact its developer to determine the reason for the message.
Without knowing the source or the content of the warning message, all others can do is guess. A screenshot would be helpful.

Conversion of Warning Message to Error Message Message Number 06152 in ME51

HI,
User has created the PR(ME51N) and Buyer has created the PO (ME21N) against this PR.
User are able to delet the line with following warning message.
*Purchase orders already exist for this item*
*Message no. 06152*
I have stried to change this warning message to error messge form following path
IMG-MM-Purchsing-Environment data------- But the message is not appearing in this table.
How can i change this warning message to error message ?

Hello,
In the same IMG path (IMG->MM->Purchsing->Environment data->Define Attributes of System Messages), click 'New Entries' and enter the message with Message category 'E'.

Conversion Agent Studio in XI

Dear All,
I am working in a XI development project and here I have a scenario to convert the PDF document (Purchase Order) into XML document and use the same to create a sales order by using Process Integration.
For the above scenario, I found that we need to install Conversion agent studio in SAP PI system and use the same to generate the XML out of PDF document.
I have already deployed the software in SAP Netweaver. Now I have no idea how to use this software and where I will get this in my SAP NW system.

I have a query related to Conversion Agent. We have downloaded the SAPNWCM20_0-20001444.SCA file and installed the conversion agent engine on SAP XI J2EE engine which is basically installed on Sun Solaris system.
I want to use conversion agent studio at a remote place on Windows OS 32 bit system.
Please help me

Please reinstall the application.” How do I correct this problem without disturbing application in main user account?

Brooks lansing if you create a new Administrator account does the same issue occur? If so then it is likely that there is a file permission failure and file permissions have been set for the existing Users instead of the groups they belong to.
Have you removed and reinstalled Photoshop Elements 11? This may reset the file permissions to the correct state to allow it to work under new accounts.

Message split using conversion Agent

Hello,
I am trying to use a mapper that splits a bulk message into small messages in conversion agent and deploy in file sender adapter module. I could write the small individual output messages. But they are written in results folder and I couldnt see them in XI environment when deployed.
Does CA support multiple output xmls? has anybody done that? plz help..

So I have to split a message only in mapping? How do I then handle a bulk message? Can I not read a big message and split into individual messages using CA? In the Message monitoring, I wont see N number of messages for a one message that came in? Can you plz send some reference or help or sap notes which says it cant be split in Module? This is a very big business impact decision if that cant be done...

Now I am facing a problem of message split in conversion agent. I have a big file which contains lots of records, and the client wants to use conversion agent to split it and send to SAP XI. Is it possible? Is there anyone who has the experience on this? Any comments or suggestions are appreciated.

Hi Nick,
i have not done this thing....so i am not sure.....but i think you can use conversion agent and content conversion both in sender adapter because in conversion agent you will create a project for XML parsing which you will then deploy in XI and content conversion is a msg protocol of file adapter.

Warning message when installing Oracle 10g

If your on LINUX then you should configure network after installation.
Checking Network Configuration requirements ...
Go Application ----> System Settings ----> NETWORK
On Network Windows CLICK ON edit tag.
set STATICALLY set IP ADDRESS
ADDRESS 192.168.100.252
SUBNET MASK 255.255.255.0
or
edit HOSTS tags on Main windows and give your HOSTNAME.
ACTIVATE<<<< click on main page.or

Prime Infra 2.0 : Warning message eval license even if permanent license is installed

Customer has installed PI 2.0 with a eval license.
Since we have installed the permanent license, he stills have a warning message that says "The license for Lifecycle and Assurance features will expire in 50 days ..."
If we go to Administration-> License -> Sumary-> License, we can see something like that:

This is covered by bug ID: CSCul20922 - PI 2.0 shows evalution license after restore, wont apply new licensing and CSCuj32554 After migration to PI 2.0 old licenses are not detected.
Workarounds for PI 2.0 are:
Become root on the PI 2.0 system
If you have not enabled root from the admin login, type root_enable and provide a password for root. Press enter and confirm the password.
To become root from the admin login, type root, press enter and provide the password.
You should get the ade# prompt. Continue with the instructions below...
cd /opt/CSCOlumos/licenses
mkdir old
mv *.lic ./old
mv restored.cfg ./old
run the script /opt/CSCOlumos/bin/license_post_restore.sh if it is restored server.
From the UI, login as root and install the licenses from this interface, BASE first, then remaining licenses
Logout for licenses to take effect
Login to verify licenses are installed.
Lastly from the CLI, rm -rf /opt/CSCOlumos/licenses/old
Exit root login by typing exit, should return the Admin prompt.
If you have issues or unsure about performing the workaround, open a TAC case for assistance.

Sounds like you may have a hardware problem since it won't read from DVD, and it is only a year and a half old. Hopefully all it is, is bad RAM*:

Conversion of error message to warning message

I am facing one error message KI280 while doing PGI.
It is regarding creation of Cost element in controlling area.
The G/L which system has asked to create as cost element was never created as cost element till date and everything was working fine.
This message has only appeared for some 3 deliveries.
I got a solution that the message can be converted to warning message using OBA5.
Now what are the consequences if I convert the error message to warning message.
Points will be rewarded.

Hi Nimit,
First of all kindly identify why the system is asking to create the GL as cost element. The possibility to issue the message is only if there is any cost object like order, cost center, profitability analysis anything is assigned in the GL line item. Remove the cost object and then try to post the entry...
If you change the error message into warning, you may miss out to create some GL account which has to be created as cost element in future..

I am trying to install the conversion agent with PI 7.0 SP15. But then i got adapter error when trying to test simple scenario PDF file to JDBC.
The error message is :

I have check many time even with Visual Admin the JNDI name is correct. but why still error ?

"CMException: Request IF_EXEC2 returned null"
I'm trying to use a conversion agent serializer to ouput a file from PI 7.1 and am getting the above message in the receiver comm. channel monitor. No idea what it means.
This is my first use of conversion agent, so I'm not sure that everything is correctly in place, but the Conversion agent console set-up test works, and I've followed all the blogs I can find so I'm reasonably happy with it.
Executing the script from the CM console gives me the transformation I want, so my serializer seems OK.
The PI configuration scenario works fine if I use a receiver channel without the CMTransform bean module (i.e I get an xml file output), so that's OK.
I get nothing in the NWA logs.
I'm running out-of-process (64 bit PI system) and the console config looks OK per the admin guide.
Any ideas folks ?

That's an odd thing.
When I run it in studio, it completes without any obvious error, but there's no "results" file.
We had initially installed the 32 bit version (when I was on XI 3.0), and I ran the studio on the XI machine and the results file showed in studio. But now, my studio is on my PC (not the PI machine).
However, all that aside, when I execute the CM_Console with my project I get exactly the output I expect...so I'm sure that the serializer is OK.
