Can anyone please assist with the compatible driver for laser printer Canon LPB 5050 for Mountain Lion?
I am desperate to get my printer going.

I am trying to install my two printers on mac book pro.
Problem 1.
My HP psc 950 printer is only printing in a bad black and white quality - no color at all?? - any idea where I can download a printerdriver that is actually up to date? The one mac book has preinstalled seems not to be the right one?
Problem 2.
My may can´t find a driver for my other printer Canon LPB 5000 at all. I´ve already downloaded the canon drivers for Mac book - so I see a long list of Canon drivers but the LPB 5000 is not there and I don´t find any download of it in the web. I work with os x 10.7 and there is just an old mac driver for 10.6 to be found on the Canon website. I downloaded it but still does not work.
Hope someone can help. Both printers used to work fine on Windows but I am changing to Mac now and need to get them work.

Can't use correct driver for Canon MF4140 USB printer shared by Windows XP

Hi all,
I have a Canon MF4140 printer connected to my Windows XP desktop machine via USB. The printer is shared and I can see it over the network with my MacBook running OS-X 10.4.
I've downloaded the OS-X version of the printer driver from Canon, but I can't select it when adding the printer in OS-X, so I can't access any of the printer settings. I've selected the generic driver but that doesn't allow me to do double sided or 2-up printing.
Is this because the printer driver does not support network printing, as the printer doesn't have a network interface?

I guess this isn't clear on the iFelix page. To use any of the built-in network printing protocols on OS X, you must either have a postscript printer (postscript printers don't require a driver, just a PPD), or a driver that works with the CUPS system (a CUPS driver). So far, Brother is the only non-postscript printer manufacturer that provides CUPS drivers. For every other non-postscript printer, you need a third-party CUPS driver. Apple tried to get around this issue by including Gimp-Print drivers (open source CUPS drivers), but your model isn't in Gimp-Print. You can look around for other CUPS drivers, but Lexmark hasn't been cooperative with driver writers. Here are the CUPS driver sources:

Has anyone found the correct driver for Canon MF4018 printer?

I have tried installing all of the available drivers including MF4010 which other users have reported works- I keep getting Error-50 and cannot print anything. If anyone has used any driver for this printer that is compatible with my macbook pro - that could help me out a lot.

Printer Driver for Canon MX310

Hi everyone,
Just made the switch to Mac on the weekend, and everything is running smoothly on my new SR Macbook so far. The only thing I'm having trouble with is getting the right printer driver set up.
I got the Canon MX310 with the rebate that came with my macbook, and it's connected to a PC running Windows XP. I have everything shared properly, and I installed the printer driver (onto my Macbook as well) that came on the CD with the printer. The problem I'm having is that I can't figure out where this printer driver is saved to on my Macbook!
I tried looking at all those drivers that come preinstalled on Leopard, but the MX310 is not one of them, and it doesn't seem that my newly installed driver shows up on that list.
I just can't find it, so I have selected the Generic Postscript Printer driver. Could someone please help me set this up so that I am using the correct driver for my printer?

CORRECT DRIVER FOR WINDOWS 7 AND HP COLOR LASER JET 4600dn

I'm having a problem with our IT department. My old 4600dn worked great until they started downloading new drivers for Windows 7, which they installed just recently. Now the one he INSISTS I use has only one tray selection.... Auto. I'm trying to print business cards..(absolutely no problem till now).... but he INSISTS that this is the only driver. Then he wants me to choose Pg.....select 1, then MANUAL DUPLEX. That's almost impossible for the printer. I'm almost POSITIVE you have a print driver that will allow me the tray selections I had before he installed Windows 7 and this particular driver. I always used "Tray 1," CURRENT PAGE, it zoomed through the perforated cardstock like a streak!!!! Now, the poor printer is trying to run perforated cardstock through the duplexing unit. Out of 10 pages of cards, I ended up with 1 front printed and 9 pieces of cardstock that stuck in the tray and jammed in the duplexing unit. Is there a CORRECT print driver for this particular printer that will allow all my normal functions to be visible and viable? I don't have the model, nor serial #, as it is work printer and I'm at home now, so I can't get on chat. He is hard to get along with and has been playing games this whole time. I found one driver he inadvertantly left a day and a half ago and printed the cards like lightening, as it used to....7 minutes and I had 200 cards for two different staff members. PLEASE HELP! I think he's leading me down a merry path. It also has to be able to duplex fairly heavy graphic pages...and even the driver he accidently left as an option, won't print the graphics. I just KNOW you have a driver with all the options that will allow it to print to Windows 7 Operating System with all the former options. HELLLLLLLP!

It does not look like the Canon driver has change from Mavericks to Yosemite.

I will be glad to assist you. The driver is now available for the commercial release of the OS X 10.10 (Yosemite) driver. I recommend uninstalling the previous driver before installing the latest driver. To uninstall the driver, please follow the instructions below:
1. Click the [Printers & Scanners] icon in [System Preferences].
2.Select the printer you use on [Printers], then click [-].
3. Delete the printers that are registered, then close the [Print & Scan] dialog box.
4. Open Finder application of your Mac OS X.
5. Select [Go] → [Go to Folder] from the menu bar.
6. Enter the following folder locations, click [Go], then delete the files and folders.
Delete Example: You can delete files and folders by dragging them to the [Trash] icon in the Dock.

/Library/LaunchAgents/

Next, go to the imageCLASS LBP6000 - Drivers & Software page, and then download the file CAPT Printer Driver Ver.3.67 for Mac OS X 10.5/10.6/10.7/... listed under the [Recommended for You] section.
After installing the printer, please follow the instructions below to add the printer:
1. Click the [Printers & Scanners] icon in [System Preferences].
2. Click [+].
3. Click [Default], and then select the printer to be used from the printer list.
4. Select [Select Printer Software] from [Print Using].
5. Select the printer to be used from [Printer Software], and then click [OK].
6. Click [Add].
7. Make sure that the printer to be used is displayed, and then close the [Print & Scan] dialog box.
The printer registration is now completed.

I have the same printer and I'm using Lion 10.7.4.
I'm facing problems getting the mac to print via wireless.
I've installed the driver from http://support.apple.com/kb/DL904 as suggested by sig.
I've linked up the printer to the router via usb. It works like a charm with usb on Lion and wireless on windows.

I have read some other discussion threads in which customers have gone back to Win XP SP2, installed drivers, then updated to SP3 if they didn't install properly directly under SP3.
I would suggest using the search function from the forum home page and Searching on XP SP3 driver install or related terms.
Some of the other discussions may help.
In the meantime, I'll inquire and see if there are any recommendations to help you.

Lenovo 14 20DM correct driver for 'Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller'

Hi Everyone, I am the happy owner of a new Yoga 14 20DM. A few days ago I made the decision to upgrade to Windows 10. Whilst the upgrade went smoothly I did have to install a number of drivers manually. At the moment I am stuck on trying to install the 'PCI Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller' (as shown below). I have tried right clicking on the device then selecting Properties > Driver (tab) > Update Driver > Search automatically for updated driver software, however doing so only shows the screen capture below! Furthermore I have searched the Lenovo support page for a suitable driver however none is available! http://support.lenovo.com/au/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-yoga-series-laptops/thinkpad-yoga-14/20dm?TabName Finally I have also installed, and run, 'System Update 5' the software program available from Lenovo. However it was not able to install a correct driver for this device. I have done a little searching on this topic, and have read a couple of stories about people installing an incorrect driver for this device, and then experiencing blue screens! Hi Ingemann, Ultimately I decided on the newest version of the Intel Chipset Device Software (INF Update Utility), which at this time (on the Intel website) is version 10.0.27. https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/20775/Intel-Chipset-Device-Software-INF-Update-Utility- Interestingly enough I was presented with the message below when I ran this executable. I selected Downgrade (with some trepidation), and after rebooting was pleasantly surprised to see that the troubled device was missing from the list. I have been trying to install the driver for a Wacom Bamboo Pad. There are several driver packages listed on the website (the device is supplied ready to run with Windows devices) and I have tried tried downloading all the available drivers which apply to my set-up. Some will not open at all and I get a 'Damaged' message on my screen. Of the ones which open, I can download the .dmg and expand it but when clicked it opens as a window with multiple choice of languages and an icon which instructs you to click to open.
If I do this some versions repeat the 'damaged' message but the later ones generate a window saying:-
'“Install Wacom Tablet.pkg" can't be opened because the Identity of the developer cannot be conﬁrmed.' - this is as far as I can get it to go; most frustrating!
I understand that Apple's security updates have recently included an alteration that causes this result, and that there is supposed to be a legal (i.e. Apple sanctioned) workaround to allow files like this to be opened. If this is so, can anyone enlighten me?

Apple suppies all the drivers for all the printers that work with any specific os x version. Just go to the Print & scan section of system preferences and Add Printer (Plus ( + ) Sign) and if it is supported the driver will be there.
