Installing CS 5.5 on different OS

My office recently purchased CS 5.5 Design Premium for me. I have the Windows disks. I understand I can install and use the programs at home as well, but I have a Mac.  I have a valid serial number, just not the Mac OS version of the software. Can I download it? If so, where do I get the 5.5 version? The purchase was made March 22, 2012 so I don't think I qualify for the free upgrade.

Serials are platform specific, so even if you had the right disks, it wouldn't work. You need to convince your employer to use  Creative Cloud if he wants you to work from home - access to all platforms and all languages.

  • How to install Acrobat Reader in a different drive?

    Hello!,
I was just wondering if anyone out there knows how can I install Acrobat Reader in a different drive than just directly in C:. It goes by default there whenever I try to download it from the site, and there's no option anywhere to choose where it will install the program. I need to change the drive cause my C: is too full and dont have much else to delete from it, but have plenty of space in D:. Is it possible somehow to install the program in a different drive than c:? Please help!
    Thanks,
    Marcus Bale

Download the full installer from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
When you run the installer, use 'Change destination folder' at the bottom of the panel
If you already have Adobe Reader installed on the C: drive, you must uninstall it before installing a new version on a different location.

  • I want to install Adobe Reader on a different drive.

I want to install Adobe Reader on a different drive as my C drive is much smaller than my storage drive.

Still, you can install the Reader folder on any drive you want using the installer from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/
Use the Change Destination Folder button at the bottom of the install panel.

  • Why can I not install Acrobat Reader in a different drive / directory

why can I not install Acrobat Reader in a different drive / directory. I need to install this in a different drive. I prefer to keep the Os drive free of rubbish. Is there an option in an install to allow this to happen?

What is your operating system & version?
If you are on Windows, download the offline installer from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/ and click 'Change Destination Folder' and the first install panel.

  • Install CRS and RAC with different users

I' m tring to install CRS and RAC with different users.
It is supported but I don't find documentation.
Have someone experience with this configuration ?
My question are related to permission/own of voting and ocr file.
in this configuration is CRS owner or DB owner that run srvctl commands ?
    Thanks !

Yes it is ... check out the RAC FAQ on metalink, and just as Chris metioned the users will need to have the oinstall group as their primary..
"Is it supported to install CRS and RAC as different users.
Yes, CRS and RAC can be installed as different users. The CRS user and the RAC user must both have "oinstall" as their primary group, and the RAC user should be a member of the OSDBA group.

  • I just bought 3 memberships for adobe creative cloud with the same ID, how can I install each membership in 3 different computers.

I just bought 3 memberships for adobe creative cloud with the same ID, how can I install each membership in 3 different computers.

    Welcome to Adobe Forum,
You have CC for individual purchased which can be activated on two machines by the same Adobe ID.
How ever if you want to use it on more than two machine, you can cancel this order & buy the creative cloud for Team, in which you can buy the number of seats & assign them to as many user you would like to.
Each user can activate it two times with 100GB of space as compared to 20 GB space for CC for individual.

  • Install part of cs3 on different computer

I would like to install part  of cs3 on my laptop but leave dreamweaver on desktop...can you split? Since I own the software
I don't see why not, but adobe is very funky about this kinda stuff i think. cs3 is on work computer as well.

You can install and activate on two different computers for a standard commercial purchase of CS3. However, you may not use  the software on the two different computers simultaneously. You cannot use Acrobat on your laptop and Dreamweaver on your Desktop at the same time.

  • How to install mountain lion with a different apple ID?

How to install mountain lion with a different apple ID?

More information would be helpful. If you are going to use a different Apple ID, you will need to buy Mountain Lion again. If you have a computer that has Mountain Lion installed, but Mountain Lion was purchased with a different Apple ID you must use the original Apple ID to download Mountain Lion.

  • [SOLVED] Installing WINE apps in a different location by default

Unless I'm misreading the wiki, it says:
To create a default prefix without running a Windows program or other GUI tool you can use:
    $ env WINEPREFIX=~/.customprefix wineboot -u
I did that, then deleted my ~/.wine folder.  Then I ran:
    $ wine control
and it created ~/.wine all over again.
What I'm trying to do is to install WINE apps to a different location every time by default.  I do not want to use ~/.wine at all.

Your WINEPREFIX only takes effect for the first command.
    Instead, use e.g.:
    export WINEPREFIX=$HOME/.whatever
    wineboot -u
    wine control
That worked.  I added it to my ~/.bashrc

  • Installing the program in 2 different devices

    Hi!
My name is Farbod Azima and Im a student of NYFA.
I love Photoshop and all of Adobe's creative programs! They are all amazing!
I plan to purchase the Creative Suite after I am done with the Creative Cloud program which I have to pay monthly for.
    My question is simple:
Once I purchase the Creative Suite, which includes Photoshop that I like using, Will I be able to install it on my primary PC desktop And my Windows8 Surface PRO Tablet?
I would really like to have all my Adobe programes installed in both devices so I can work on stuff on-the-go when im not around my PC desktop by using my Windows8 Tablet.
Will I be able to do this?
I can understand if I cannot use both devices at the same time, which I dont plan to anyways since I'll only be using my Windows8 Tablet when im away from my Desktop.
But I would HATE to have to buy the Creative Suite TWICE just to be able to use it on 2 Different Devices!

    Question ANSWERED!
I found out you CAN have all Adobe programs you OWN on both devices at once.
If you do want to install it on a 3rd computer, you have to uninstall on one of the other 2 computers.
    Which I find Fair.
Also I found out that if your harddrive CRASHES and you HAVE to re-install EVERYTHING, you can
contact Adobe customer serivce and they will help you re-install it fresh so you are NOT entirely F###ed.
This is Great! I Trust Adobe 100% now as a Company that cares for their customers and their saftey.
I totally will recommend more of my fellow filmmaking class mates to purchase Adobe products.

  • Is it possible to have two different iTunes versions installed, by just using a different install folder on Win7, pointing at the same music resource?

I really don't like the new version of iTunes, with CoverFlow removed. Makes navigation very poor IMO.
Can I go ahead and just install an older version with CoverFlow still present in another Win7 folder, and point it at the same music resource?
Very poor decision by iTunes to omit this popular preference - and unless its put back in quickly, can see peopl leaving when they feel their config has gone.

I don't really want the hassle of uninstalling the 'latest' (****) version, as it might mess my system, plus, at some point, this will be upgraded, and I reckon with CoverFlow put back in! SO, I would upgrade this as my 'main install'.
The older one, I would use temporarily, until put CoverFlow back into its newer releases, if you see what I mean.
So, my question is implicit and more specific - can I have two different version installed, in different folders/locations, without causing conflicts I don't wanna uninstall the new one just to put the old one back on.
Very bad that iTunes put me in this position, really.

  • Installing Additional Domain Controller in different Network

    Hi All,
We are planning to add ADC on existing domain but before start I want to confirm that can I install ADC on different network range as follows:
Windows Server 2008 Enterprise SP2 Platform
    HODOMAIN.com  IP is: 192.168.2.11
Branch network New ADC IP is: 192.168.1.11
we can ping both servers, so can I start the installation of ADC or do I need to prepare ADC on same DC network at Head Office and after installation, we can move the server to branch office and change the IP?
    Thanks
    Agha

No problem when doing that. Just you need to make sure that any system that will be pointing to this DC by IP for LDAP or DNS query is updated to have the new IP instead of the new one. As this is a new server, you can proceed directly.

  • Install SAP IdM MSSQL on different drive than "C:"

We are in the process of building our IDM systems and want to install the MSSQL DB on a different drive than C:.  Has anyone else done this and what changes to the _SqlAuth.vbs & SQL4SAP.vbs (which _SqlAuth.vbs called during installation) are required to facilitate this.
    Thanks in advance.

I am not sure what the problem here is.
The MMC files can be installed whereever you want.
Where the DB files are located is controlled by SQL Server.
If you already have the DB on C:\
Just detach, move and attach again.
    That should do the trick.

  • How can i install audio content on a different drive

i did install logic studio 8 without all the jam pack cause i was short on drive space and i am wondering how i can install the rest of the dvd's on a different drive....i am using a macbook with 60 gig HD so i didnt have any other choice than unchecking all the jam pack if i wanted to install the appz
    TIA !!
    Gprok

In the installer, next to each jamppack is a drill-down arrow - open that and you can choose where to install the loop content.
The instrument content has to go to your Garageband Instruments directory, but you can move the sample content (exception: the "Hybrid Synthesizers" sample folder) to your external drive afterwords, as long as you leave the instrument and settings files where they are.
