Installing CS3 Adobe Illustrator

I'm trying to install the CS3 Adobe Illustrator trial version on my Windows XP platform with out much luck. I run the setup.exe, it installs the shared components then asks for a CD to finish the install. With out this CD I'm forced to quit the install. I have the system requirements to run Illustrator. Help!! =)

Check the message again. the message should be asking for a disc of a certain Adobe product that is already installed on your system. Since, its installed, you should have the disc with you and you may try to insert that disc when asked for it. If that product was installed via download from Adobe site, you'll need to keep the downloaded installer at the same location that it was kept while installing.
If its asking for the same products disc that you are trying to install then following 1 of 3 is possible:
1) Disc is damaged.
2) DVD drive is faulty.
3) You have a prerelease version installed on your system. In this case, please uninstall it first.
If nothing else works for you, then you will need to uninstall all the adobe products and install them again starting with AI first.

What version exactly did you buy? If you bought CS6, then the license is perpetual and doesn't need any extension. If you bought CC, then you need to renew your plan every year. You can install each Adobe software on 2 machines with a single license for non-concurrent use.

Trouble re-installing CS3 (specifically Illustrator)

OK, so i previously had Photoshop and Illustrator installed on my Powerbook G4. I wasnt using it anymore and needed the space so I deleted it.
WELL, Im back in school now and Ive been trying to re-install the suite but am unable to install Illustrator (the program I need the most) because the Adobe Installer says its already installed and the option is grayed out and unavailable. I can check off all the other programs for a successful install but Illustrator is a no go.
Anyone know what may be causing this to happen. School has started and Im in a bind!

If you had Illustrator CS3 installed, and didn't use the uninstaller to remove it, but dragged the Adobe Illustrator CS3 folder to the trash, then that's why it is greyed out. Try going to /Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers, and running the installer for Illustrator CS3, and choose Remove rather that Install or Reinstall.
If that doesnt work, you will need to use the CS3Clean script to remove it: http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cs3clean.html

Help with install of adobe illustrator cs6

My serial number keeps saying invalid when I try to install my new illustrator cs6 disk. It installed on my work computer with this very same serial number, but not that I am trying to install it on my home computer it says invalid. I thought I was allowed to have two installations?
Does anyone know how to fix this or does anyone have a phone number for adobe?

I do not have adobe creative cloud. I purchased cs6 through a reseller and have the disk.

Follow the Install Instructions if you haven't installed AI HTML Pack in AI 15.0.1
Windows
If you haven't already, update Adobe Illustrator CS5 to 15.0.2. To   update, in Adobe Illustrator choose Help > Updates.
Exit Illustrator CS5, if it is running.
Backup the following files: (restoration of these files are required for any future update)

Download the Illustrator CS5 HTML5 Pack and extract the contents to <Install Location>/Adobe Illustrator CS5/. You are prompted to replace the five files; confirm the replacement.
Launch Illustrator CS5.
Macintosh
Quit Illustrator CS5, if it is running.
Revert Illustrator with HTML5 pack to Illustrator 15.0.1
Remove the following files

Can you give more details on the issue you are facing? Which OS are you on? machine details will also be handy. Can you do me a favour and do the following:
1) Create a file with no extension named rigb3debug (make sure no extension is there by seeing its properties on win and more info on mac) in %temp% folder on win and /tmp folder on mac(its a hidden folder, so, use the go to folder option in finder go menu).
2) Delete all *.log.gz files only from /Library/Logs/Adobe/Installers on mac and \Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Installers on win. Make sure you dont touch the folders if any.
3) Run the updates again.
4) Run updates again. Updates will still fail but the log files generated will be detailed. Can you post the fresh log files generated at /Library/Logs/Adobe/Installers on mac and \Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Installers on win here.

Adobe Illustrator 10 Installation Problem

Ok so I now own a new Macbook and just tried to install the Adobe Illustrator 10 but it just crashes and fails when I try to install it. I know the disks are fine because I have installed it on my Quicksilver G4 with the Tiger as well, have never had a problem installing till getting this new Macbook.
I get to the part of installing the serial key then it just crashes. As well my G4 does not have the Classic environment either and still installs perfectly.
Any ideas as to why it will not work?

You don't understand my point. If there were no Intel based chip, installation would be fine was what I am getting at. Your both actually correct though, I'm blaming the wrong company, my apologies to Microsoft, the 2 members who posted regarding Microsoft is not at fault are 100% correct. But we will definitely not see a patch from Adobe and since PS7 was a completely new cocoa app but Illustrator was merely ported over, hence the reason PS7 installs perfectly.
But at least the migration wizard does a good job an actually installs Illustrator 10 and it works perfectly.

As a first step though I would recommend reviewing the installation log files for the update. Please feel free to post any specific errors you discover to this discussion.

MAC Adobe Illustrator CS3 cannot be installed because it conflicts with Adobe Illustrator CS3

When I installed Illustrator CS3 at the first time, I didn't complete it and closed it. While I installed it again, it said "Adobe Illustrator CS3 cannot be installed because it conflicts with Adobe Illustrator CS3". I was be stopped on this step, so I deleted the Illustrator CS3 from Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers without clicking it to uninstall. And I deleted other Illustrator CS3 files. After that, I tried to reinstall Illustrator CS3 again, but it kept to say "Adobe Illustrator CS3 cannot be installed because it conflicts with Adobe Illustrator CS3".
I cannot find any Illustrator in my MAC. What is wrong? How can I install Illustrator again? Should I format the computer and install all the applications again?

On the Adobe site probably under support do a search for Adobe CS 3 Clean Up Script.
Before running the script read the instructions al the instructions first, do not assume you understand from reading the first sentence. There are some files that are not so obvious that are necessary for activation and they are probably still around but they can only be removed by the script.
Next time you will have to read the instructions.
The only other ways around this is the do an archival reinstall of your system or if that does not work a complete reinstall of your system. Running the script is the easier and better way to do this but you must read the instructions completely first.

I want to install Adobe Illustorator CS3, but couldn't find
"Setup（Macintosh）"file in "Adobe Illustrator CS3" folder.
I could find "Setup.exe" file, but couln't start with this file.
Is this mean that this is not for mac OS?

Not sure, but I believe in CS3 it was still called "Install Illustrator CS3" All you should need is to mount the DMG file and than run that. Perhaps if you provide a screenshot we might advise further...

Hi, i download Adobe Illustrator CS3 Trial from adobe site.
when i install the trial it gives me error message

Trying to remove Adobe Illustrator CS3 for a re-install

I am trying to remove Adobe Illustrator CS3 for a re-install but have come across some problems in the process.
I am working in Windows XP SP2
When I go to uninstall, the Adobe screen won't let me proceed because updates have been made to the software since I've installed it. However, I can't get into Illustrator because of a "fatal serial number error" (I do have the purchased software -- it's not pirated).
Any suggestions on how to proceed?
