Installing CS4 after lost disk?

Hi so I've lost my CS4 Creative Suite student edition Design Premium. I was on the forum and I saw that a way is to downlaod the trial version and insert the serial number. Problem is everytime I click the trial version the new page is forbidden.
Is there another way to this?
I really need help asap!

  • I can't install CS4 after deinstall - Windows 7

When I try to install CS4, I immediately get a screen with the error message "Cannot Install Please check the Quit button".
The problem came after I tried to install some plugins from Nik Software, and something went wrong. Then I tried to deinstall the CS4. It was impossible to install CS4 again.
I have tried allmost everyting I could read on the net including start the install program as administrator, manually delete CS4 files and folders and running the Adobe Suite Cleaner. Some details: Windws 7, 64 bit, CS4 11.0.2.
    What can the problem be?

    Hi soren,
CS4 software has not been tested and is incompatible with Windows 7.
If it was working fine for you before, you can uninstall the software completely by using the Cleaner tool ( http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html )
And then download and install the software from http://prodesigntools.com/download-adobe-cs4-and-cs3-free-trials-here.html
Note : Make sure you follow the important steps mentioned on the page before initiating the download.

  • Satellite A200-137 - Can not install windows after hard disk crash

last week my a200-137 crashed and now i have new hitachi 500 gb hdd on it, same as before the crash.
I install with Toshiba recovery DVD windows Vista on it and after succesfull install i have to start windows, it says preparing windows for first use then i have to wait a moment and then i get the message that windows installation is not completed. But it is complete!
After trying for 3 times installing with recovert I tried to install windows xp.
After a couple of minutes and transering files, I get the message no disk found! It says that there is no hard disk on the laptop!
But when I start up the boot menu or the setup menu I can see the 500 gb Hitachi hard disk!
So why can windows not find the hard disk and why can I not start windowds visat after installing with the recovery dvd?

    > So why can windows not find the hard disk and why can I not start windowds visat after installing with the recovery dvd?
On this virtual way it is not easy to say why you cannot install recovery image. It would be interesting to know if the same will happen when you replace HDD with the same or identical one.
Which capacity has had original HDD?
If possible try to obtain original Microsoft installation disc and check if HDD will be recognized by Vista or Win7 and of course if you will be able to install and start preinstalled OS.
About WXP installation: it is well known that WXP installation will not starts properly due to missing SATA driver that must be loaded before WXP installation starts.
Check this forum and you will find hundreds of threads with detailed explanation why this happen and what can you do about it.

  • Installing CS4 after installing individual trial download apps

I've DLed and installed several individual products for trial, including Acrobat Pro and Indesign.
I've ordered CS4 and about to install. Do I need to uninstall the trial installs of Acrobat and InDesign, etc? Or do I leave them in place and use the CS4 license key?
    Using Win Vista x64.
    Thanks, folks!
    - Bob E (eteam)

If you ordered the suite package and installed individual trials my gut says you'll need to uninstall the trials because the serial number you get with the suite is for the entire package, not standalones.

  • Re-installing CS4 after harddisk breakdown

I have bought the Adobe Creative Suite CS4/Design Premium back in Feb. 2010. Recently the harddisk in my iMac broke down and was replaced (Mac OS 10.6.8) Now I cannot install my Adobe Creative Suite CS4 DVDs again! Tried several ways, desktop installation was suggested by Adobe - nothing works - won't allow installation. Are my money just wasted, or could there be another solution I haven't thought of? I would be greatly thankful for an answer.

    Troubleshoot installation with install logs
And please provide a detailed description of the behavior/ errors you see.

  • How can I install CS4 without the disk?

I've tried moving the actual files to an external hard drive to move to my new computer, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to get the programs to work on my new computer.  I have the old computer with the working CS4 right here next to me, and I've deactivated CS4 on the old computer, but when I try to open the applications on the new computer it gives me an error saying the licensing has expired.

You can download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.
Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site or else the download will not work properly.

  • CS4 setup from disk

I am re-installing CS4 from the disk and installation has stalled. I cannot quit "Setup" and therefore can't even eject the disk. What do I do? Is there an issue with Mac OS 10.8.2? Thanks.

Well it most certainly was never tested under Mac OS 10.8.2.  Have you tried force quiting the installer?  You can access the force quit menu under the Apple Menu.

  • Please could somebody help me I have an iMac which came with Tiger 10.4.10 installed I have lost my disks and I need to re-install after a hard drive failure. Where can I find this? I will upgrade to Snow Leopard after but I cannot go straight to SL

Please could somebody help me I have an iMac which came with Tiger 10.4.10 installed I have lost my disks and I need to re-install after a hard drive failure. Where can I find this? I will upgrade to Snow Leopard after but I cannot go straight to SL

You can go strait to SL, all you need is a retail SL DVD available from Apple for $20. The US online store has them at:

  • CS4 Install - BSOD After Disk 2

I'm on Windows XP installing CS4 Design Premium. First disk goes alright - second disk seems okay and then fizzes and I get Blue Screen. Everything installs except for InDesign. I've made sure Windows, drivers, etc. are up-to-date and run virus/malware scans and it seems I'm clean. Can I restart installation from Disk 2 to finish it up? There's no "Autoplay" feature. Or do I have to uninstall & start from scratch?

BSOD can only be caused by an unrecoverable hardware error or a problem with an operating system component, most likely a device driver. There is no code provided by Adobe for the Creative Suite or its installers which operates as "privileged code" that would be capable of causing BSOD. Listen to Bob and get your system checked out.

  • CS4 After Effects no longer loading after installing Office 08

During the christmas break I installed Office 08 and its seamed to have mucked something up in CS4 After effects because it won't load anymore, the program starts loading the libraries and all that stuff at the splash screen and crashes when loading User interface
After effects worked fine before I installed office 08. Does anyone know what has happened and how to fix it? The strange thing is, it works on a couple of macs but the majority of the lab is having this problem.
I have tried heaps of things:
    - Totally uninstalled office 08 and its preferences
    - Uninstall CS4 and manually remove all the preference files
    - Locate the fonts folders and comparing the fonts with that of a working mac
    - Creating a new login account
    - Updated to After effects 9.0.2
After spending hours and hours and hours doing this, I have had no luck solving the issue. Help will be greatly appreciated... I will backup all the data and re-install Leopard next week if no-one knows how to fix this.

The failure appears to be in the FLV QuickTime component, which is an FLV exporter for QuickTime that Adobe Flash (or older Macromedia releases) installs into your [root]/Library/QuickTime folder.  After Effects loads any such component that QuickTime makes available (they appear under the File > Export menu).
First, try deleting the com.macromedia.FLVExporter in your [username]/Library/Preferences folder, if present.  Failing that, pull out the FLV QuickTime component I described above.
It is also theoretically possible that the failure is in the next component in the QuickTime components folder, not the FLV component.  You might could just pull out the entire contents of that folder and see what happens.

  • Problems before and after Uninstall and re-install CS4

I went ahead and uninstalled and re-installed CS4 because of freeze ups and other difficulties. Program After Effects is now crashing - see attachment. There is also a problem with an importer plugin (I think) may be related. I can't tell. I have not tried any other projects. I did however, disconnect the Matrox MX02 Mini, but still had problems. The MX02 is now re-connected.
I wonder if installing CS4 on top of CS3 is an issue? I remember having a similar problem goiing from CS2 to CS3. I had to downloader a cleaning utility from Adobe (I think) to remove every bit of CS2 and then run CCleaner.
It's my own fault - trying to upgrade software and hardware at the same time. It's hard to isolate. For now, I'l just have to do with Premiere since it is working. But, I'd sure like to know what's going on.

Did you re-install all other Adobe products as well? If not, then that may be the problem. Uninstalling/ reinstalling only one of them messes with MediaCore and certain otehr functions. The quick fix is to download the manuala (!) update packages for After Effects, Premiere Pro/Encore and Adobe Media Encoder from the support pages and run them. This usually bends things in place. If not, then you will probably have to uninstall again, this time including every Adobe app, use the CS4 Clean Script and reinstall.

  • How do I install CS4 on other computer without disks?

I was overseas when I purchased CS4 via a download and installed it on my laptop.  I now want to install it on my desktop at home in the US, but I'm puzzled as to how best to go about doing this because I only have some files on my laptop from the original download purchase.  I do not have any installation disks to install CS4 on my desktop.  How do I go about installing it onto my desktop?

When you purchased to download you made a account on the adobe website. Just click on "your account" and log in. You should still be able to download. Also burn a copy of the download to a DVD so you will have it in the future.
