I cannot get past open bundle. It opens a textedit to which it says inside that it must be run on a Win 32

Well, isn't it obvious? You have the Windows version, which of course won't work. Download the correct Mac version/ get in touch with sales, if you bought a DVD.

IIRC PS CS6 is not Cross platform. It takes a different license key code for each platform. A License key for Windows won't work on a Mac and a key for a Mac won't work on Windows. You'll need to buy another copy/License for Mac OS X.
At one time Adobe did allow you to switch platforms by paying them some money and getting a Mac license key code which I think then Deactivated the Windows license key.
IIRC the CC version does allow you to install on EITHER platform. But only one platform at a time. You can't have one copy on Windows and another on a Mac. Adobe does allow you to install on 2 computers with one license key but it must be on the same platform (Operating System) and both computers and or install of PS CC can't be used at the same time.

Im having trouble installing CS6 onto my mac. I have tried each way a few times and it isnt downloading, it might get to half way and then it stops. Any ideas?

What Mac? What version of OSX? What are the specific errors. And clarify whether you actualyl alrteady have successfully downloaded and get stuck on installing or if it's the otehr way around. That false intermingling of terminology is really not helping.

you may be lucky, but you should expect problems if you do that.
you should properly install your adobe software using the adobe installation files.

You can't. Standalone serial numbers are platform specific. Only Creative Cloud is cross-platform.

Installing CS6 on a MAC Airbook without a DVD drive.

My company purchased 14 copies of CS6 and I have received the software DVDs. However, I need to install a few of these copies on MAC Airbook laptops that do not have a DVD drive. I am not able to copy the contents to a server to install from there. Is there a way to install from the web and use the serial number I already paid for and received? Suggestions?

Many non-Adobe customers people run the Trial for a while then purchase a serial number and activate the installed trial without any need to re-install.

Problem Re-installing CS6 on a Mac.

I'm running OS 10.9.4 on a MacBook Pro and had to re-install the OS yesterday because something became corrupt. When launching an Adobe CS application, I get an error message that says to uninstall and then re-install the applications. Now that I am trying to reinstall CS6, I receive an error message that 'Initialization Failed." I've tried the remedies suggested like starting in SAFE MODE, but still no luck. Anybody have any suggestions?

In addition to what Kglad suggested, Have you checked the permission on your Adobe Folders ? Initialization failed generally happens when either the installer is corrupt or we dont have enough permissions .

Install CS6 Design & Web on Mac Mini

I have shared the DVD on my Ubuntu server, and tried to install CS6 on my Mac Mini, but get an "can not initiate installation" error, or someting like that. Adobe Support Advisor installed, could not identify any issues.
I try to download the tryal package from the Adobe Site now, can I use the Key from the DVD with that package or is there any other method I can try?

How to re-install creative suite CS6 on a Mac.

I recently purchased creative cloud suite CS6 for my Mac Pro, 2009 model. I was very happy untill I noticed a small program called "clean up" or something like that. I ran the program to clean up my old CS5.5 versions of the suite thinking this would "clean up" my system and thats when the problems started. After running the program I then couldnt open any of the creative CS6 programs. They would start opening then give me an error message associated with loss of quicktime codecs. I then cleverly thought I would uninstall all adobe software then re-install the creative cloud suite. Oh no, apparantly I should have de-activated it first and of course I didn't. I tried re-installing from the cloud but it keeps saying " Download failed, administrator privilages required". I am the administrator and have been for ten long years. After some online research I then thought maybe its because I didnt de-activate the softwarebefore uninstalling it,(I am also running creative suite on my laptop). I de-activated it on the laptop thinking that Adobe would then let me download the software again onto my mac pro as the software can only be loaded on two computers, but no, it is still refusing to download. How do I do this people. I want to use all these very useful programs but can't. I am a small post-house and this is quite urgent as clients are waiting.

looking at the error message that you have recieved while downloading the product " Download failed, administrator privilages required" . This means that there have been some rights/priveledges issues on your macintosh because of which you are not able to download/extract/install any of the Adobe products on your machine . I would request you to kindly try the same under a new Admin user account (just a test account) and then check if you are able to download the same on your machine or not ?
You might also want to check the permissions on your /Lib and ~/Lib if you and every one has read &write or not ? If not , please give full permissions to your folder and the enclosed folder within.
