Installing CS6 on OSX Mavericks?

Keyboard is inactive when installing CS6 on OSX Mavericks? Tried different MacBooks. Any solution?

Vitaly have you tried disabling any start up items to see if those could be affecting your keyboard? Also have you tried using the onscreen keyboard if your Mac keyboard is not functional?

I have aperture 3 on Disc how do i install on MBP (OSx Mavericks)

Hi all, I have downloaded a trial version and started by putting in my Serial number frm origional disc.....all this worked fine, however now it wont open because apeture 3 is not compatable with OSx mav, the app is not on the desktop and is greyed out in the application list.

if you are running Mavericks you first have to update Aperture to version 3.5.
You should see the update at the AppStore in the Updates pane.
If it is not showing, try to update first by running Software update from the -menu in the upper left corner of your main menu bar. If no updates are shown, download the last update from the support page:
Aperture 3.4.5
and install that. Then try update again at the App Store.
For the update to show at the AppStore, you must be signed in with your AppleID and Aperture must be installed in the Applications folder and simply called "Aperture", not "Aperture Trial" or something.

Encore CS6 On OSX Mavericks

Mac and Encore CS6 user here. I've been using the last dying version of Encore () on OSX 10.8.5 with no major issues for several months now (yes I know it's technically not supported beyond 10.7.x).
I'm just curious if anyone has tried it on the new Mavericks update yet and if so please post your results here. I may test it myself in the coming weeks and if I do I'll provide an update.

If you're having trouble using Encore in Mavericks, try these.
Encore Crashing on Launch
Grab Digital Rebellion's Preference Manager (free).
Trash Encore's preferences.
Empty your Trash and restart. (If your Trash won't empty, restart, then try again.)
Relaunch Encore.
If crashing continues, grab OnyX.
Repair permissions, then clean system and user caches.
Relaunch Encore.
Note: these steps should only happen once, not every time you use Encore.
Encore Crashes Opening an Existing Project
Do steps 1-3 above.
Create a new Encore project. Doesn't matter if it's DVD or Blu-Ray. Just pick something based on whatever assets you have lying around. Keep the Untitled project default settings.
Import an asset or two. (The smaller, the better.) Now, stop. Go to Step 4.
Open your existing project. No need to save Untitled.
Encore should be fully functional. When you quit, though, it'll be a Force Quit.
Thankfully, these are the only steps you need for regular usage. Creating new projects should be status quo.
Finally, here's a Digital Rebellion article on fixing project corruption. It didn't apply to me, but it might help you.
Unfortunately, we're all in that weird place where discs are dying, but you can't tell your clients, "Haven't you heard? Discs are dead." We have DVD Studio Pro, but it can't do Blu-Ray. The only other pro option would be Scenarist, but... we're not authoring for the Criterion Collection. If any Criterion staff are reading, though, we're available.

Audition CS6 does not exit properly on OSX Maverick - how to resolve?

I run Audition CS6 on OSX Maverick (10.9.5).
However, whenever I finish a job and exit the application, whenever I bring up a terminal I see the following processes permanently in the process table:

Note that all other applications run well on this high spec MacBook Pro (early 2011, 17", Quad iCore7 2.3GHx, 16GB RAM, 512 GB SSD).
I do not wish to go the Cloud model - so upgrading to CC is not an option.

I've looked in the User Diagnostics but there are absolutely no entries of any kind - it's empty. The System Diagnostics Reports likewise contain no Adobe entries.
But note - this is not a crash. I manually exit from the application and it appears to exit (as in the GUI shuts down) - but - the application just continues to run and can be seen in the process table (via ps -ef in a Terminal). Subsequently, I cannot rerun it - if I click on the app Icon it does not bring up a new GUI. I need to reboot the machine before I can restart the application /GUI.
This is repeatable and has been a long standing issue for me - including with OSX 10.8 so it's not a Maverick specific issue. I'm surprised I did not see a plethora of other posts on this issue when I finally decided to look for a solution today. I can only assure you there is absolutely nothing out of the ordinary with my Mac, or the installation of Audition CS6 - I'm a long standing user (since 1.0 on PC) so I am quite familiar with the install routines. My Mac has the latest version of Maverick, but as mentioned in my first post, everything else I run - Protools, Logic and a plethora of plugins all run without issue.
Unfortunately I have no diagnostics to send you; but please let me know if there is anything else I can do to provide further clarity.

I couldn't launch Dreamweaver CC. An error told me to install "java se 6 runtime". But when I clicked OK I got another error telling me there is a network problem! I found this forum post on CS6 products, so I tried the download link, installed java 6 and presto, it worked! Thanks!

Problem with Photoshop CS6 Freezing up when saving OSX Mavericks 10.9

I have a iMac we purchased last year (27inch, 32GB Ram, 512GB Flash Storage, OSX 10.9 Mavericks) with Adobe CS6 installed on it. About 2 months ago our Graphic Designer started having problems where when she went to save a Photoshop file the Mac would freeze up and just show the spinning pinwheel, after this happens we are unable to to even shut the system down and have to resort to holding the power button until it shuts off. Now this doesn't happen every time and we went almost a month with a problem but it has started back up and is happening multiple times a day. We have tried re installing CS6, creating a new profile for the user, deleting the library folder, saving to the desktop instead of a network location but nothing has seemed to do the trick. I'm a Windows Sysadmin so I'm out of my depths here and my poor Graphics Designer is getting really upset. Has anyone out there every had something like this happen??

InDesign CS6 file not opening...running OSX Mavericks

Hi there, for some reason I am unable to open InDesign CS6 files. I've restarted Creative Cloud, my computer, nothing. I get a prompt saying that some files need to be relinked, which I've had before but then it opens fine. I can't even open a new document. This is a new issue since OSX Mavericks update....any thoughts?

I'm a Windows user, but I can tell you that there are thousands of Mac users with CS6, and a god number of them use the new Mavericks without a problem, so it's more likely to be something specific to your system.
I can also tell you that upgrading an OS can be a crapshoot and it's usually better to do a clean install, but I can't promise that wiping your system and rebuilding will solve the problem if it's some sort of conflict with third-party software.

Tried to install OSX Mavericks now MBP won't load

Hi all
Last night I tried to install OSX Mavericks on my MBP mid-2010 running Mountain Lion. It downloaded fine and then seemed to install fine. When the message came up saying it was going to restart automatically the spinning wheel hanged, which was the first problem. I switched off the MBP and turned it on again. It now refuses to boot up and stays on the Apple bootup screen with the spinning wheel.
I've tried to restart in recovery mode but this doesn't seem to work. It just goes back to the spinning wheel and there is no progress bar that pops up to indicate the recovery data is being downloaded from the net (I don't have a recovery partition).
I have a backup external hard drive that I can use to restore my MBP and then try upgrading again, but I can't use that until I get into recovery mode.
Is anyone able to help?

Ok so I worked out how to get into recovery mode. Turns out I was doing it wrong! I used an external USB drive to access recovery mode.
I ran disk utility which identified and fixed some errors on the HD. I thought this might solve the problem but when I restarted the same problem occurred. I then restored my time machine backup which thankfully worked.
I tried installing mavericks again! Upon restarting and completing the install, I got the message 'OSX has been installed. Your computer will now restart'. After the countdown had finished I got the beach ball which span eternally again, just like last time. After about 10 mins I did a hard reset and again OSX won't load.
Lame...

Unfortunately I have already rebooted the router and that did not fix the problem. The weird thing is that the computer is connected to the network, it just won't connect to my computer. I have printed the network configuration page to confirm this, and it says the wireless signal is strong.
I have not changed anything at all recently in terms of routers, networks, etc. The printer stopped working completely randomly.
Is there a part in the printer that like emits a signal which computers, phones, etc are supposed to detect? I don't know enough about the mechanics to really theorize about what is wrong, but it seems like that is the only thing that stopped working.
Do you have any other suggestions?

Hi, ever since i installed the released (to the public) version of osx mavericks, all **** has broken loose!! First, my finder is not responding. 2. all folders and files on the desktop have dissappeared. 3. most of my applications cant open: i.e, Mail, iMessage, Maps, iPhoto, Calendar, Reminders. 4. The ram in use is 3.99 yet my macbook air is only 4 gb ram.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Im using a macbook air (mid 2013). 1.3 ghz, 256 gb, 4gb RAM. I have about 160 gb of free space.
Please help!! What can I do?

Can't open mac app store after osx mavericks install

i just finished the install of OSX Mavericks, but for some reason i cannot open the mac app store, i tried restarting the computer several times and nothing, try to open it from the dock, applications folder, even terminal, and NOTHING, it jumps once on the dock and nothing, i dont know what to do please help!!!

I have the same problem. The install seemed to go fine, it rebooted and the only APPLE app I can use is Safari and Itunes, The Mac Apple store freezes, Ibooks, Iphoto etc, all of them just lock up when I open them, even drop down items under the little Apple are frozen. I'm disgusted, any help would be appreciated.

Can't find JDK w. installing JDev 11.1.2.4 on OSX Mavericks

Hi all,
I need to install Jdeveloper 11.1.2.4 on my MacbookAir running OSX Mavericks.
I downloaded the jdevstudio11124install.jar file from oracle.com and installed some version of Java 1.6 from Apple.
I can start the install, but when I go to choose the default JDK to use, whenever I try to choose a folder it just says error something...
Does anybody have a clue on what to do so that I can chose a JDK when installing 11.1.2.4?

This line, from the first link, solved my problem.
/usr/libexec/java_home --version 1.6.0
--exec java -jar /Users/Fred/Desktop/jdevstudio11116install.jar
Obviously I replaced Fred with my username and jdev.....11116 with 11124.
I tried running that line previously but that was before I had installed java 1.6.

Failed install of OSX Mavericks and my iMac is now saying the Macintosh HD is damaged and can't be repaired! Help!

I need help getting my iMac working again.
Last night I tried to install OSX Mavericks, my previous/current OS is 10.6.8
After restarting the Mavericks install screen appears and then stops and give me this error message:
"Install Failed
OS X could not be installed on your computer.
The OS x upgrade couldn't be started because the disk Mackintosh HD is damaged and can't be repaired. After your computer restarts, back up your data , erase your disk and try installing again.
Click Restart to restart your computer and try installing again."
I tried restarting numerous time but to no avail.
Please help!

Have you got back to restore from if all else fails?
Try booting from the grey restore disk that came with the Mac: disk in drive and restart holding down the 'c' key. Hopefully it'll boot, albeit slowly. At the first screen select your language and from the menu bar of the next screen choose Utilities>Disk Utility. Select Macintosh HD>Repair Disk. Hopefully DU wil repair the errors. Click on repair disk again until you get a clean pass. Try to restart as normal from the Apple menu.
