Installing CS6 without a CD Drive

Hello,
I've purchased the CS6 suite earlier this year and am trying to install it into my second computer.
The Adobe creative cloud only offers for CC trials and takes only CC serial numbers.
Is there any way I can install my CS6 without having to purchase an external CD drive?
Thanks for all your help.

Please download the setup again from Internet and keep a copy of it for future use.
http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/cs6-product-downloads.html
Please download both files, Navigate to the directory where you saved the installation files and double-click the .exe(file1), this would extract the installation files.
After the files finish extracting, the installer launches automatically. If it doesn’t, go to the folder that contains the extracted files. Double-click Set-up.exe to begin installation.
Follow the onscreen instructions to install
When prompted for a serial number, enter your serial number and complete the installation.
Follow the instructions mentioned carefully.
Regards,
Ashutosh

  • How can I install CS6 without a disk drive?

    Hi there!
I recently purchased the Creative Suite 6 Design and Web Premium addition.
The sales person at the store assured me that despite not having a CD drive in my Macbook Pro there would be a way to install/download the suite with the product information in the box.
So far, all I have been able to acheive is recovering my serial code. I am compeltely at a loss of how to even begin to start the install process without the a disc drive.
Is this possible or did the sales person send me down the wrong road?
    Thanks in advanced!

  • Installing CS6 without an optical drive

I propose to purchase the Student and Teacher edition of the Adobe Design Standard CS6 Creative Suite, which I understand to be supplied as a boxed set of DVDs. How do I install it on a laptop PC that does not have a DVD drive?

  • Installing Programs Without The Disk Drive Icon Loading On Desktop

    Hey,
I am super anal and don't like any icons on my desktop and I am wondering how, when installing programs, you can install them without the disk drive icon being left on the desktop?
    Thanks.

Oh, right, sorry, one thing I didn't mention. I DO like to have CDs and DVDs and such show up on the desktop when I (seldomly) have them in my computer.
So, is there any other way? If I uncheck the CDs and DVDs line then this solves the disk drive icon but also gets rid of my CD icons.

  • My drive failed and I need to install CS6 to a new drive letter

Every time I try to reinstall CS6 the installer selects the old location, which is not there and so it has zero space.
    Install fails.
Installer does not allow me to change the location.
The location of the temporary files is ok. I changed that with no problem, but after the extracting and the actual installation, the install location is unchangeable and wrong.
    how can I change it?

It seems like the installer is still picking up traces of the product that were installed earlier. Please try the following two links and suggest if that worked or not.

  • Can i install CS6 on an external drive?

Currently have CS5 on my macbook pro running Mac OS X 10.7.5. Looking to purchase CS6 but do not want to upgrade the CS5. Can I install the CS6 on an external drive so I do not effect the CS5 on the hard drive?

No. However, the installation of CS6 will not effect the installation of CS5. They can coexist happily on the same computer.

  • How to install CS6 without desktop app

I have a Creative Cloud subscription and want to run InDesign on my laptop as well as on my iMac. I downloaded InDesign CC to the laptop but what I really need is to install CS6. Problem is that my laptop runs OS X 10.6.8, so I can't download the desktop app. The Adobe Application Manager doesn't give me the option to install an older version of InDesign. Though this is circular - aside from the 30 day trial you won't be able to use ID.

  • Macbook pro retina, windows 7, how to install it without using optical drive?

    Hi,
I am thinking of buying the new macbook pro with retina display.
I do not intend to get and external optical drive.
I want to split the hard disk and install a windows 7 ultimate, which I own and have as an CD image ( ISO file ).
how can I install windows from my ISO without burning it into a CD or creating an external drive? is it possible?

Put the iso on a USB thumb drive. Then use Boot Camp Assistant to make the thumb drive bootable. Then follow the instructions in the Boot Camp Installation Guide. http://www.apple.com/support/macbookpro/bootcamp/
You should visit the Boot Camp Forum here https://discussions.apple.com/community/windows_software/boot_camp

  • How to install windows without the cd drive?

    Hello,
I have a 2009 iMac that I want to install Windows 7 on. I have both a Windows 7 iso and a Windows 7 DVD. However, my cd drive is a mess, and upon trying to install Windows 7 from the DVD, the installation failed miserably 3 times at expanding windows files 0%. From there it just freezes for more than an hour and then gives me an error.
Now, my Bootcamp Assistant has an option to create a windows 7 install disk, but unfortunately it is greyed out.
My question to you guys: Is it possible to install Windows 7 on the iMac without using the cd drive?
I am using Lion, if that is helpful. Also, the Windows 7 DVD works fine, as I have already installed Windows on my 2011 iMac from it.
    Thanks!

I'm in a similar situation. Attending an online university and I need to use Access. But of course, Microsoft doesn't make a Mac version. I can get Windows through the university discount program, but only as a downloadable .iso file and a verification key. My drive works fine, I just don't have an actual CD/DVD to put in there.

  • How to install Leopard without working DVD-drive?

I have a MacBook Pro 3,1 (A1226) without a working DVD-drive and I would like to replace the existing 80Gb drive with a 320Gb drive. The hardware is no problem, I did that a few times already, but how to get the OS working?
I have an TimeMachine backup on a USB-disk of the 10.5.8 (9L31a) installed system. I do not wish to upgrade because there is some old licensed software on it that does not work with a newer OS.
I also have another MacBook Pro (with 10.7.5) I could hook up with an Ethernet-cable. Theoretically even with a Firewire cable I do not have right now. But when I buy extra things I should perhaps better get an external hard disk enclosure for the 320Gb?
    Please advice.

Am gonna solve it in another way. I will just get a so-called "9.5 mm PATA Optical Bay SATA Hard Drive Enclosure" and put the 320Gb drive in that one. Sorry to have distracted you.

  • How do I install Photoshop without a cd drive?

I have an old CS5 program which I now want to install on a new laptop. However, it does not have a cd drive. Copying the disk to a memory stick does not seem to work. Should I "burn" a copy of the disk on another Computer and copy it onto the new one? Or can I download a trial version of CS5 and then enter the serial number?

  • How to re-install Yosemite without external hard drive?

My  rMBP has been having battery issues the last couple of months, and I believe that it's due to my installation of Yosemite.  I'd like to do an fresh install of it, but I don't have enough money to buy an external hard drive for Time Machine.
What are some other ways to install Yosemite with just the MBP itself?
    Thanks!

Restart with the Command and R keys held down and perform the installation and other functions normally. This process doesn't directly use the external drive, but if a problem occurs and you don't have a backup, you may lose some or all of your data. If you choose to erase the partition with Yosemite on it, you will lose all of the data on that partition.
