Installing Demostration Schemas: HR and OE Schemas

I recently purchased the SQL Fundamentals I Exam Guide. In the book, it says that I can find the demo.s chemas on the CD's.
Will the schemas be included in the downloadable 11g version found on Oracle's website?!
If not, is there any other ways to install the demo. schemas at all? (I googled it, and all of them talk about the CD's).

Demo schemas are included along with the seed database, but if you perform a default database creation using the DBCA assistant, the demo schemas are not created, you must explicitly check the box where it asks if you want the demo schemas loaded. Demos in the default rdbms installation are not installed in the Oracle Home, they only can be found as part of the seed databases.
If you performed a database install the demo scripts are not installed, you must perform a second installation using the examples disk, this will create the directories where the demo build scripts will be copied to the Oracle Home. If you want to not only create them with the database at db creation time, but also have them as part of the Oracle home files, then you must install the examples disk too.

Both the source and target schema are in the Oracle database of the loaclhost.

Right Click ur Dataserver , In the bottom u will have option insert physical schema.
Click that u will have window opened........
In the Definition Tab:
Specify ur Schema name and Work schema .......u r going to use .
Enable the default option also....
In Context Tab:
Specify ur context Name and Type in the Name u want to have for ur logical Schema, it autmatically creates the logical schema ...for u.
and click ok .

AFS Condition Types and Pricing Schema

Dear All
I am working in AFS 6.00 in that i am not able to find AFS Condition Type and Pricing schema like
J3AP, J3AX, J3AD and J3A00.
But in SAP AFS Library they have mentioned all the condition type and Procedure will Come default.
AFS Condition Types
Choose one of the following condition types to determine prices at SKU level:
J3AP
gross price at SKU level J3AX
manual entry of the gross price at SKU level J3AD
discount in percent at SKU level
"The calculation schema J3A00 and the schema group J1 are predefined in the AFS standard system. In order to be able to specify prices at SKU level, the schema group J1 must be entered in the Vendor Master Record."
Kindly confirm me whether it is available default or any Note has to apply to get this option.

All the default conditions will be available in client "000". Please
copy these condition from client "000" to any other client.
If you wish to copy Customizing from client 000 to other clients.
then you need to have all the customizing that you wish to copy
collected in one place (a transport request). Further, to do the actual
synchronization/copying of the data, you can use the transaction SADJ
(Customizing Transfer Assistant). This tool is a part of the Cross
System Viewer application itself.
Please try this first on your test client first. If you have any doubts
please get back to us.

but I didn't saw rcu.sh but I saw RCU_HOME/BIN/rcu.bat file, which is support windows environment.

How to connect sql developer OE schema and Hr schema,

And as well I wanted to migrate datas from third party datas , could anyone please , pllease guide me. The HR schema installs fine in XE, but the OE schema doesn't quite. I've done it, but there will be errors. The reason is that the OE schema uses some features of XML DB that are not supported in XE. If you want to use the OE schema in XE and you don't mind if it isn't a complete OE schema, then you can get the installation scripts from an Oracle SE or EE installation.
You can also get it from the companion disk for Oracle SE or EE, but this is a bit challenging, because you can't get it by running OUI unless you first install Oracle SE or EE. You need to run an archive utility like WinZip or 7-Zip and look for the scripts inside a compressed file - I forget which one, but I'll look it up if you like. Oh, and since the OE schema isn't really supposed to be installed on XE, Oracle does not support any of the methods for putting it there.

ODS and ODSSM schemas not created in oracle 11.1.0.2 on Win 2008 R2 server

I'm trying to install webcenter suite installation on windows 2008 R2 server.
As a starting point installed oracle db 11.2.0.1
As a second step, tried to run rcu script and found that the ODS and ODSSM schemas are not created as a part of the installation.
Any idea why they are not created or how they can be created?

They're part of identity management suite install and not included in webcenter

Port and XML Schema

I wanted to configure the Port and XML schema for a repository.
I followed the following steps.
I have XML Schema file in my local disk. Then I created Port in the console.
However I am not able to see any folder structure getting created on unix server. The port was saved successfuly.
I can not see the Ready folder for this particular folder.
Can you please help me?

Firstly create a remote system and associate that with the port.
You can find the port in the following path of that particular remote system.
C:\Program Files\SAP MDM 7.1\Server\Distributions\HostName_DB\Repository Name\Inbound\Remote_System\Port\Ready,
C being the drive where you have installed MDM Server

One schema for OWB Design repository, runtime repository and target schema

Currently we have contents of OWB Design schema, runtime schema and target schema all combined into one schema of the same database in OWB 9.0.2 as well as OWB3i. We like to move to OWB10g in very near future. Can we keep the same structure for convenience of migration in OWB10g? Is it mandatory that OWB design repository (and components) must be separate from OWB run time repository (and components) and target schema? In other words is it possible and workable to use only one schema to contain OWB design repository, OWB run time repository and target schema in OWB10g environment with repositories to be situated on Oracle v9.2.0.1.0? Also what special considerations should be taken to create the database v9.2.0.1.0 and installation of OWB10g. What are the problems/side-effects to have all in one schema?
Also please let me know how to install Oracle Workflow server to be used along with OWB. Will OWB10g work with repository on Oracle database v9.2.0.1.0?

The design repo is a metadata repo that stores all the design-time objects and so forth.
It is an architectural decision that you or your team need to decide on. There are many flexible ways to architect an OWB infrastructure.
Also, your repository users will be using the design repository on the the other DB instance to do their design work...potentially less people always hitting the target database all the time.

Migration and copying schema

Greetings,
I am in the process of upgrading from DS 5.2 to 6.3. I am using dsmig to migrate. Here is what I am doing.
a) I make a complete image of the 5.2 instance and copying it to the new 6.3 machine
b) The name of the 5.2 schema is schemaORIG (example).
c) I use dsmig to import (schema, configuration and security). The 6.3 schema is called schemaNEW.
d) Now I was to rename schemaNEW to schemaORIG.
To rename the schemaNew I am thinking of doing:
a) Remove the schemaORIG since it is copy of files from the old ldap server
b) Use dscc to create a new schema and call it schemaORIG and copy all the settings from schemaNEW.
Does this approach make sense? I am new to this game so any better approach will be appreciated.
I looked for the solutions on this topic but was not successful and I apologize if this question has been answered before.

Well I don't think that you should play with renaming the databases. The best way is to do it this way:
1. Install the new DS 6.3 on the same server on which you have DS 5.2
2. Migrate only the schema:
/opt/SUNWdsee/ds6/bin/dsmig -v /OLD/INSTANCE/PATH /NEW/INSTANCE/PATH
3. Modify the cn=replication manager,cn=replication,cn=config (also known as replication manager) password * the password must be identical as on 5.2
4. Create empty suffixes on the new directory server
/opt/SUNWdsee/ds6/bin/dsconf create-suffix SUFFIX
5. Change the owslsLockoutPrioritized from TRUE to FALSE (this is causing replicaion errors between 5.2 and 6.X):
/opt/SUNWdsee/dsee6/bin/ldapmodify -D "cn=Directory Manager" -w YOURDIRECTORYMANAGERPASSWORD
dn: cn=Password Policy,cn=config
changeType: modify
replace: pwdIsLockoutPrioritized
pwdIsLockoutPrioritized: FALSE
6. enable replication on all suffixes that you need:
/opt/SUNWdsee/ds6/bin/dsconf enable-repl SUFFIX
and initialize the suffixes from DS 5.2
7. Reindex all suffixes
8. configure all replication agreements for old ds 5 instances.

When using Data Miner, the api that it uses to connect to the ODM database option must have the same version number as the db itself.
