I am having trouble installing design standard cs5.5 on my laptop. It keeps giving me some error, and I downloaded it from this site. The error that I'm getting is "Install can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer." also below that is "install is on the disk image design standard_CS5_5_LS1.dmg. Safari downloaded this disk image yesterday at 11:14 am from helpx.adobe.com"

How to install Design standard CS5.5 without a disc?

So I just got off a chat with customer support and they told me I have to pay to upgrade because I don't have the disc anymore, great right I paid a few hundred dollars for a program right before cs6 came out and nope can't download it anymore.
So I'm told to go here if I want to install it

Which I was told is a direct download but it isn't I have to download a trial version, then load up the cs5.5 then contact support again to have them remove my broken computers from the activation list or whatever they call it.
Or I can pay more money for something I don't need.
In all honesty it seems more beneficial to just download a cracked copy then have to jump threw all these hoops to get something I paid for, which to people saying I won't get support with a cracked/hacked copy customer support said they don't give support for older versions.

While this was helpful, I was able to download / instal cs6 without issue in less than 5 minutes (including download time).
I asked support chat to free up the activations but was responded with "this chat session has been closed".
I'm marking your post as correct as it is correct, but it is not the most streamlighted / customer friendly way.
I got 20mb's into the cs5.5(standard) download while I fully installed cs6(master collection) by clicking 3 buttons, kind of stupid if you ask me.
I know that software eventually is outdated, but for a big company like adobe to be able to have a direct download / instal on their website for a product a customer paid for should be a no brainer.
I purchased this product 1 month before cs6 came out, so the month after I purchased it I basically lost the ability for direct download / apparently adobe support besides the forums (this is quoted from the live chat).

No, I am saying the three programs that you want to use in the suite, if you are planning on using all three programs (at the same time) then it is possible your system could slow down, then a RAM upgrade will help. Give it a try it may work out okay.
Yes, I know how to backup separate things on to another external hard drive. Just connect the hard drive make sure it is formatted for use as a Mac hard drive. Open disk utility and click on the hard drive at the bottom of the window it will show you the partition map scheme, it should be GUID Partition Table. If not then you should format the hard drive but clicking the erase tab and the selecting Mac OS Extended (journaled) from the format drop down box. If you are going to use the drive to transfer files from Mac to PC then you should select MS-DOS (FAT) the only problem with this format you will not be able to copy file larger then 4GB. Then just open the find and drag and drop folders and files to the external hard drive.

How cann I now swap platforms for Adobe Design Standard CS5.5? Do I realy need to buy CS6? Or afer dowloading the mac version of CS5.5 I get the key. And if I realy need upgreade the CS5.5 cann I use the Mac version of CS6 for the dowloaded mac version of CS5.5? Is it possible?

Installing Design Standard CS3 without Flash Player 9...?

I hope someone can advise me here?
I would love to be able to install Design Standard CS3 without the Flash Player 9 Plugins... Both Active X and Plug-In versions.
Is this at all possible?
I have scanned through the various XML files on the install DVD and have seen entries for both Active X and Plugin versions of Flash Player 9 in the setup.xml file.
Removing these lines from the XML doesn't make any difference and Flash Player is still installed as part of the CS3 install.
I have also tried renaming the folders containing the Flash MSI's and the installation fails at the 'Shared Components' stage.
I'm obviously missing a trick here but hoped someone might know the answer?

I'm sure there are deployment instructions and tools for CS3 somewhere in the Dev Center. If this is only for your own perusal, then don't bother. any isntall of a newer version of Flash Player will superceed the old one.

My hard drive crashed. Need to reinstall DESIGN STANDARD CS5.5 MAC.
Have serial number, but not the disc. Unfortunately, I am living in another country and the disc is sitting in storage.

Problems/Errors installing Design Standard

I recently purchased CS6 (Design Standard) and after it finished "installing", it said (and forget exactly what it was) soemthing to the effect of "photoshop, indesign, and illustrator" were not properly installed. I can open photoshop, indesign, and illustrator, but when I try to open the 64 bit version(?) (it says 64 bit next to it), a message pops up that reads, "The localized resourse files for this application could not be loaded. Please reinstall or repair the application and try again."
Should I just un-install all of the programs and try again? Or is there a way to "repair"? I believe I can install my student edition on two computers, correct? If I reinstall on this computer, will that count as my two installations?

I would start with removing and reinstalling the software yes. You can also review the install logs to locate the root cause of the failure. Error code 16- I re-installed Design Premium CS5.5 with no luck

Hello,
I can no longer open any of my Adobe applications. I am getting an error 16 message that reads "configuration error." I have uninstalled and re-installed the full Adobe Design Premium CS5.5 with no luck. When I re-instlled it I also got an error 213:5 message about resetting the SLStore and the Adobe folder.
Nothing works.

Unfortunately that didn't work. After pasting the command in the window I
got this:
sudo: /private/etc/sudoers is mode 0644, should be 0440
sudo: no valid sudoers sources found, quitting
MAC17-2:~ MAC1$
Any suggestions??
