Installing desktop software for tour 9630

Hello everybody.I am a new BB client.I got the Tour yesterday and while trying to install the software to my computer the proccess stoped quickly after starting displaying "unale to download microsoft NET framework 2.0 SP 1-the .exe file".The other file needed to download, MSXML 6,0,was downloaded successfully.Any ideas?I appreciate it.

From what you describe, your internet connection is the culprit. Until the download completes (all parts, not just some of the parts as you have now), you cannot run the exe file and install the software. I find it a little odd that the CD forces a download, but the carriers actually are responsible for that distribution when they sell to their end users. In any event, internet connectivity is important so that updates and such can be accomplished as they are released.
Just to be sure, are you downloading from here?

From there, you can get either the PC or MAC version of the Desktop Software.

Is it possible to install Desktop Software for Mac on an OS 10.4.11?

and if not how do I speak to someone about returning this device that WASNT explained to me and is unusable in this particular situation?
i dont WANT to return it but manually sending each photo to my email and downloading them one at a time is beyond tedious.

I recently switched from a palm treo to blackberry but didn't anticipate syncing issues with my mac until now. The current BB desktop software seems only compatible with MAC OS 10.5, so I'm in a difficult position.

Using Desktop Software for Mac with an 8703e - Can it be done?

I downloaded the new BB desktop software for Mac but it doesn't seem to work with my 8703e device. And since I had to erase the PocketMac software to install the new BB software, I now have no way to synch my Mac and BB. Can anyone shed any light on this?

You might check out the FileBrowser app on iTunes. I haven't used it, but it sounds like what you're after. When you say you can't use the Sierra iG2 with your iPad, I'm assuming you mean you can't plug it into the iPad. If it's plugged into a laptop and offering a WiFi hotspot, the iPad should be good with that. I use the Apple Camera Connection Kit to carry extra movies on an SD card. It uploads only to the Photos app, so no books, etc.

Desktop Software for PC - Windows 7 Bluetooth Connection

Here's what I've got hardware wise Software all updated on all below..
BlackBerry 9900
Desktop PC with no Bluetooth built in
USB Bluetooth and Drivers
When installing the Bluetooth USB and it's drivers I don't get any option to allow Bluetooth connections the box is grayed out. In turn I can't sync the phone or do anything. I think this is more of a Windows Driver problem but just wondering if anyone else is having the same trouble and found a fix

Can't download Desktop Software for windows

I had installed Desktop Software v.7.0 a few months ago but it kept freezing when syncing wiht my BB Curve 8300, so I decided to disinstall it and try to re-install.
Now each time I try to install the software from RIM website https://swdownloads.blackberry.com/Downloads/entry.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22the the process stops because it claims that there is a previous version installed on my pc and it cannot be overrun. I can't find any file from DS V7.0 in my computer and I need a Desktop Software!!!

Blackberry Desktop Software for Mac not updating 9900

Hi,
please could someone assist me in this.
I have a mac running the latest Blackberry Desktop Software for Mac. And a Bold 9900 on 7.0 bundle 1465.
The Blackberry Desktop Software says new update available 7.0.0.1672. So i proceed to update the blackberry. It says installing and reboots. But it still has the old version, and the Blackberry Desktop Software still says new version available. (7.0.0.1672) So im going in a loop.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I noticed you listed your carrier as T-Mobile UK, this provider does not have the 9900 yet. Can you explain what provider this 9900 is from so I can better assist in getting that bundle of software

Installing desktop software

i have a problem on windows XP when trying to install the desktop software from this website:

i get error message after it unzips and windows installshield wizard starts.
it says "Installation Files cannot be validated. Please verify the installer package and try again."

Given that is the only authoritative KB I could find (you, of course, should search the Public KBs to see if your results may be better than mine), we now guess...
You say you are running on XP...what Service Pack please? The Desktop Software requires XP SP3 as a minimum...

It starts with a process for cleanly starting over, and there is some discussion, and there is also a post (15) with links to older Desktop Software versions, if those are needed. Note that this is not, by any means, guaranteed to work...but it has worked for many to resolve issues they are having.

You may need to do a clean uninstall but I would try a simple uninstall and reinstall of Palm software on your PC first. Be sure your device is disconnected from your computer for this process. Open your Control Panel on your PC and then go to Add/ Remove Programs. Remove the Palm (or PalmOne software). Once that is done go to http://www.palm.com/us/support/palmdesktop.html to download and install Palm Desktop.
Hopefully this resolves the issue but if it doesn't let me know. Also, contact me if you have any further questions or concerns about anything.

This is the message that i get when ever i plug in my ipod touch to my computer. the computer is running on vista. i dont know what to do, because i tried to follow the steps suggested, but it didnt work, the computer said that it couldnt find anything and to check with apple for some driver software.
