Installing Director 11 Trial

Hello I am contacting you on a problem with adobe director 11
trial version. I downloaded the program 2 days ago and unpacked it
to my desktop. Once it was unpacked I went into the folder and ran
the program "Setup.exe" which should install adobe onto my system.
Once this has ran I select the destination that I wish the program
to be installed in and it only installs the shared components but
doesn't install Director 11. It says after the shared components
has been installed that Director 11 component failed to install. I
was wondering if you could help me with this problem. I have
downloaded director 11 again and it still doesn't work.
I am running Windows Vista 32-bit OS and I meet system
requirements.
Thank you and hope you can help fix the problem.

Hi trippii,
First, this forum while hosted by Adobe, is not an official
source of technical
support. Occasionally Adobe staff will post here. Mostly,
Director users will
reply,
To your question, have you seen the D11 Installation Technote
for Vista? It is at:
http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=kb403191&sliceId=1
There are known issues with installation and so hopefully the
Technote will give
you the answers you're after.

  • Installing Director Trial Problem

    Hello,
I have been attempting to install the Adobe Director 30-Day
Trial to test out the program. Each time I attempt to run the
program (Setup.exe), I receive an initialization loading message.
    Click
    here
    to see it.
And that loads fully. Once that is finished loading the
message disappears and nothing happens. I've checked the CPU
requirements, and my computer meets all of them. Any idea of what
    the problem could be?
    Thanks!

Find yourself an extracter that supports 7Zip files and
    extract the
    contents of the installer.
    Here's some detailed instructions:
    <quote>
a little hint for anybody who likes to test the trial version
    on win xp,
but doesn't want it to mess with the registry and overwrite
    existing
file type associations for DMX2004 etc. (yet): here a little
    tutorial
how you can run it without "real" installation. tested on win
    xp pro
    sp2, logged in as admintrator.
    1. either run "Director_WWE.exe" and let it extract
    everything to a
temporary folder (and then quit the installer), or, much
    faster, use the
"7-Zip file manager" (or any other uncompress tool that
    supports 7-zip
compression) and only extract the folder "\Adobe Director
    11\payloads\AdobeDirector11en_US\" from "Director_WWE.exe"
    2. move the folder "AdobeDirector11en_US" to C:\ (otherwise
    there might
be problems with too long pathes), (and delete the rest of
    the extracted
files if you expanded the complete exe)
    3. open a DOS box in "C:\AdobeDirector11en_US" and enter
    msiexec /a AdobeDirector11en_US.msi /qb TARGETDIR=c:\dir11tmp
this will extract the Adobe Director 11 folder to
    "C:\dir11tmp\program files\Adobe\Adobe Director 11"
    4. done! now you can put the "Adobe Director 11" folder
    whereever you
    like (and delete C:\dir11tmp) , e.g. to "C:\Adobe Director
    11", and just
    run "Director.exe" by double-clicking.

  • Is it possible to install previous TRIAL versions of previous versions of Adobe Creative Cloud Software?

Look, I'm just testing the trial versions right now.  Don't try to troubleshoot something that I don't ask; this is what I'm looking to accomplish:
Is it possible to install a trial version of any of the Adobe Creative Cloud software in a previous version?  By that, I am referring to the following:
I want to install a trial version of Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014; NOT Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014.1.  If you notice, I want to reinstall a trial version of the previous release.  Don't ask why, you'll just laugh for my stupid reason, but I'm merely wondering if it is possible.  Creative Cloud now only offers trials of the newest versions, and I want to install trails of previous versions for my own, personal reasons.  Is this possible to do with creative cloud, or must I do it some other way?
Is it also possible to obtain the physical installation files so that I won't have to always go through creative cloud to download them again (and then I can just set it up without being connected to the internet)?

The previous version option is only available to individuals which have a membership.  The availability of previous version titles available is dictated by the computer meeting the minimum system requirements and the entitlement of the membership to access the requested applications.  To future viewers of this discussion if you are unsure what software titles your membership is entitled to please contact our support team directly at Contact Customer Care.
Wastingyourlifeaway you can download the installers for the CC version of the applications from Download New Adobe CC Trials: Direct Links (no Assistant/Manager) | ProDesignTools.  Please make sure to complete the Very Important Instructions prior to scrolling down the page and clicking on the download link.

  • I have installed a trial of Adobe illustrator on my macbook pro. I want to trace an image using the custom trace button but can't. Does anyone have any ideas how I could custom trace?

I have installed a trial of Adobe illustrator on my macbook pro. It is the 2014 release of adobe illustrator. I want to trace an image using the custom trace button.
I start a new document. Then I place my scanned pencil/colored pencil drawing, in to the document. I have tried scanning and then placing it as a jpeg, bitmap, and tiff file. I have tried scanning and then placing it, in color and in black and white. The scan mode I use is flatbed. Adobe illustrator allows me to select the default button and one of eleven preset buttons (e.g high fidelity photo), but it does not allow me to click the custom trace button. The custom trace button is grey while all the other buttons are white.
Does anyone have any ideas how I could custom trace?

It seems pointless to adjust it afterwards because it is then only a couple a pencil lines rather then a full drawing. And how do I adjust it afterwards? Would I do this using the different buttons under the window button?

  • Is there a way in install a trial version of Project server on a Licensed edition server of sharepoint 2013?

Is there a way in install a trial version of Project server on a Licensed edition server of sharepoint 2013? Is there anyway around this or do I need to make a new box all trial versions to test this out?
    Thanks
    James T.F

    James,
Yes, it is possible , however I wont recommend to do it. Since, once Project trial period expires  you need to uninstall project server which can not be done without uninstalling SharePoint. Unless you are willing to rebuild the farm once your
    testing is completed

  • Updates no longer work since I installed a trial of After Effects CC

    Hi there
I have a work computer with a fully licensed suite of CS6 apps. However I installed an trial of After Effects CC using my personal adobe id and now I cannot receive any updates. They fail immediately. I installed the latest Adobe Application manager but I'm worried i've just made the situation worse. The updates stick on 0%.
Is there any way I can easily restore things to how they were? My IT administrator is suggesting flattening my machine and reinstalling everything but that seems a little extreme! (Not to mention time consuming).
I just want to update my apps again!
    Thanks in advance

  • Trying to install Director 11 on windows 7 64-bit

I am upgrading to a new computer which has a version of 64-bit windows 7.  However, I can't seem to install a version of director 11 that I have on to it in any way that works properly. I"m assuming that there's a 32bit/64bit issue going on here.
Right now, it says it installs fine, but where I try to run the program, nothing happens. Running the task manager, it shows up in the processes tab, however, it doesn't show up in the Application tab.
To further the pain, the version I am currently running on my old machine is director 11.5. However, I do not have the installer files for that version locally, and the only downloadable version available on Adobe's site is for version 12...which I don't need to pay the upgrade for. ANy ideas on how I can find the 11.5 upgrade files?
    Thanks.

Best solution to install Director 11/11.5 not to program files or program files(x86) in Vista/7/8 .
Create a folder c:\Director or c:\myprogs\director and install it there.
Then you will have not the security problems of system controled folders.
If you bought your Dir 11.5 in the online store, you should have a downloadlink in your orderhistory

  • Trying to install a trial and all I get is Adobe Air agreement

I am trying to install a trial version of Flash CS5.5 and when I click the download button it brings up the adobe air agreement. I click I agree and thats it. I dont get asked to sign in or anything. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the download assistant numerous times and nothing is still happening. I even tried a different trial and the same results. I downloaded a different trial just a couple days ago and had no issues. I noticed that the trial site was down earlier today, are there problems that could be being caused by whatever the issue was there? I am buying a suite on the first, but need this trial to get through the next two weeks of my flash class. Any help would be great. I have Windows 7.

  • Need help installing CS4 trial

Every time I try to install the trial, I get an error message about 1/4 of the way through saying: "the following components could not be installed: Adobe Bridge, Adobe Photoshop."  I Don't know what to do (i even tried installing it several times, but the same error message occured every time.) Does anyone know what to do, cause I really wanna try out this program.

I think this is not going to work. In particular the mere 512MB of RAM may actuially already prevent the installer from even being able to extract the required files. Min specs for CS4 states 1GB and even that can by no means be considered sufficient to run most apps smoothly. You may be able to get it to run by cleaning up your system here and there, but that is beyond what this forum can provide for. Nobody knows, what specific drivers and otehr software you have on the system that may hinder successful running of the installer.

  • Installed XI trial and it's not letting me use it.  It's still asking for payment.

Installed XI trial and it's not letting me use it.  It's still asking for payment.  I don't want to spend $200 on a product that I have no idea if it has the capability to do what I need it to do.  I need to edit adobe documents. No I don't have the original documents.  I'm downloading the docs offline as that is how I was told to retrieve them. It says they are adobe files but when I click "Save As" it automatically is saving them as .htm.  However, staying focused, they are adobe docs.

Sounds like you are using the browser's Save As feature.  You need to
either use the Adobe Reader plugin's Save feature
or download the docs directly by right-clicking on the PDF links

  • Alert when installing CS4 trial suite on Windows 7

    Hi,
When I try to install CS4 trial software on Windows 7 Family Premium I get a message saying I do not have Windows XP 64 bits or Vista 64 bits and I should upgrade my system...  How come?
I have a new Toshiba laptop with 4gb of RAM and 500Gb of HD.
I see setup.exe dates back from September 2008 so it is not surprising Windows 7 is not recognized.  Should I install anyway?
    Thank you for your help.

    Thank you for your time.
Yes the message is about upgrading to Vista or XP because the requirements are not satisfied.  But I have Windows 7 Home Premium...
Here is a copy of the message:
The minimum system requirements listed below are recommended in order to  run Adobe Creative Suite CS4 properly and are not met:
Windows XP  64-Bit Service Pack 1 and greater
Windows Vista 64-Bit Service Pack 1 and greater
It is  recommended that you upgrade or adjust your system to meet these minimum  requirements and the restart the installer.
I finally decided to continue the install and it seemed ok.  The only problem I have is with Dreamweaver because I cannot put the right root folder in the website setup dialog (I select the right folder but it writes the folder above it).
