Installing DP 1.25 into SP 1.25 FW 400 "03 MMD

I have researched here and elsewhere on the topic of updating my MDD SP 1.25 to DP 1.25. I am about ready to purchase the card but do have one question. After installing the DP card, is there any software update that must be done to allow the O.S. to recognize the "new" dual processors or is the O.S. (10.4.10) already set up to recognize the DP card?
Anything else I should know before I get started?

Follow the manufacturers installation instructions to the letter. If there are necessary drivers, updates, etc., the manufacturer should provide all that info with the instructions, or, with system compatibility requirements.
Check the compatibility requirements, and insure you have the necessary OS's installed, proper versions, as well as proper firmware version.
If further software is required, the manufacturer will provide such on disk.
General tips- make sure your data is all backed up. Running Disk Utility to verify/check your drive before installation is also a good idea. Run maintenance scripts, and clear caches and logs. Have your system, clean, lean, and running in good shape before the upgrade. If doing other upgrades, do only one at a time, testing system performance with each new upgrade.

After you go to system preferences/keyboard/input sources as suggested by sberman, click on the + button and scroll down to Portuguese and select that. Over at the right you will see the choices Brazilian, Brazilian abnt, Portuguese. You might want to add all three to see which you like best.
The "Brazilian" layout is pretty useless. It is identical to the US layout and the only way to make accents is via the option key shortcuts: option + n, then o gives you õ.
The Brazilian abnt and Portuguese layouts have dead keys for adding accents over at the right edge of the keyboard. But these may not match what is printed on your keys.
You may prefer to stay with the US layout. On that you can get accented letters by just holding down the base letter and selecting what you want from the popup menu that appears. Or you can use the option key shortcuts.
Another option is the layout called US International PC, which has accent deadkeys on ~, ', etc.
Which ever layout you want to use, you must select it in the "flag" menu at the top right of the screen.

Installing an extreem card into G4 12 DVI powerbook 1ghz

I have just installed an extreem card into 12 dvi powerbook and upon startup I get arepeated message that I must restart. startup halts and after repeated attempts still cannot start up

Either the card is bad or not seated properly. Pull it out and make sure you can still boot and haven't damaged anything. Then shut down and try again making sure it is firmly pushed all the way into the connector and not upside down either!

I downloaded carbon copy. transferred entire internal hd to new replacement HD thru USB. computer booted from replacement hrdrive. then installed replacement hard rive into iMac. when rebooting imac did not recognized new replacement hd.

It should not matter. CCC will "clone" the recovery partition as well, but not knowing exactly what operation you had CCC perform it is difficult to know what may have gone wrong - it has many customizable options and you have to choose the correct one.
I have performed the same transplant as you described and didn't have a problem, but if your Mac is not recognizing the internal HD you really have no choice other than to reinitialize it as suggested. After that, install OS X, upgrade to Mountain Lion if required, and migrate your old account(s) from your backup.

I assume you didn't mean that literally. Have redundant backups - don't "back up your backups".

I am trying to generate Type 1 font postscript file by java. And I have successfully installed Type 1 fonts in both Windows and Linux operation system. But when I use following Java code to display the available system fonts, there are no Type 1 fonts displayed.

You will need to download and install the ttf (true type font again) on your new machine. I am not sure if the following is the font that you are referring to, but here is one named similiarly http://www.fontpalace.com/font-details/Chisel+Thin+Normal/.

Hi,
What I understand is, you want to transport request from one server to another.
for example, Development to Qualtiy or Quality to Production.
For this your transport system must be configured. Please search help.sap.com or google for "How to configure Transport System (STMS)".
If you want to copy transport request from one system to another system which is not in your landscape, you need to physically move/copy transport request (cofile and datafile) to the target system in /usr/sap/trans/cofiles and /usr/sap/trans/data
Then import that request using SCC1.
You can alos perform TEST import for result.

I have developed an application for Mobile devices[ Windows Mobile] exclusively using Java[AWT].When I try to install , the application in mobile, i got the following error.
*"MIDlet cannot be installed because critical information is missing from the MIDlet file (.jar). - 13 Please contact the MIDlet provider for more information."*
I didnt use any midlet classes in my application. So my question is, what the above error denotes? and How to install
java[AWT] application into mobile?. What are all the requirements to install the application?.

to execute java application.
