Cannot install Dreamweaver Extension?
I've recently upgraded to OS X 10.4 and reinstalled my DMX
2004. It's been a little buggy, but fine overall. (I did upgrade to
7.0.1) Yesterday, I tried to install an extension, the
WebPhotoAlbum226.mxp, and I kept getting the message:
"This extension requires the following products: Dreamweaver
MX or greater", and the installer refused to install the extension.
I downloaded another extension and tried to install it also. Same
message.
Has anyone else had this happen?
Thanks,
Chuck Cruse
[email protected]Or alternatively you can try just the opposite: Close DW and
double-click directly on the mxp file in your WindowsExplorer
(or the
mac equivalent).

Downloading and Installing Dreamweaver Extensions for ProStores
I've come across a few mentions about there being a ProStores extension for Dreamweaver, but have no actually been able to find the plugin to use it. Is this a real thing, or not? Thanks!
AFAIK, ProStores is an eBay owned e-commerce solution with its own PageBuilder software.

Installing Dreamweaver extensions
This question was posted in response to the following article: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/ColdFusion/10.0/Installing/WSc3ff6d0ea77859461172e0811cdec1896 9-7fff.html
Bummer indeed about that missing info in the docs.
But here is where you can find the extensions on the Adobe site (along with updates also for DW and HomSite/CF Studio for older releases of CF):

Cannot install any Dreamweaver Extensions
I am having an issue installing Dreamweaver extensions.
Everytime I try and install an extension be it Dreamweaver 8 or
Dreamweaver CS 3 I get this error which says Cannot Update a file.
The extension will not be installed. I'm not sure how to solve
this. I have tried installing and uninstalling Dreamweaver 8 and
Dreamweaver CS 3 and the same error for both. I am running WXPSP3.
Any help would be most appreciated. The only thing that worked for me was to use a different
windows profile and then I could load the extensions. I think it is
something with the operating system.
Thanks,

Errors installing web service to use dreamweaver extension
Portal Version: 10g
OS/Vers. Where Portal is Installed:: Linux AS 2.1
Errors installing web service to use dreamweaver extension
Recently I download the dreamweaver extension for portal, but when I try to install it several errors are raised... in the installation guide the next message appear:
This installation for this feature is an easy 3 step procedure.
1. Installing the Portal web service
2. Configuring the web service to work with your portal (one time administrative process)
3. Installing the PortalTemplates extension for Dreamweaver MX
well but when I try to run the 1 step everything goes wrong...
in the guide say:
# Transfer this file to the OC4J_HOME/j2ee/home directory of the OC4J
(please make sure that the OC4J is up and running)
# Use the following command to install the web service
java -jar admin.jar ormi://<oc4j_host>:<oc4j_ormi_port>
<username> <password>
-deploy -file portalTemplate.ear -deploymentName portalTemplate
here it's where I have some questions,
1. the ormi referers to the rmi ok (I think that), well then I go tho the iasconsole and search for the ports and is show:
home RMI 3202
OC4J_Portal RMI 3203
OC4J_BI_Forms RMI 3204
then I use the home-> port 3202
java -jar admin.jar ormi://myhost.midtierinstall.com:3202
ias_admin ias_midtier_admin_password -deploy -file portalTemplate.ear -deploymentName portalTemplate
but the following messages appear :
Error: Unable to find java:ServerAdministrator : lookup error:javax.naming.AuthenticationException invalid username/passwod for default (ias_admin).... and the error continue... but the problem is that the password works when I use the enterprise manager in that midtier console...
I want to know if I'm doing something wrong or how I should use this command to install that web serviceThe ormi is the rmi port in the OC4J. This coold be found in oc4j_home/j2ee/home/config/rmi.xml file. The default port is 23791.
Hope this helps,

Installing the Dreamweaver Extension
We are using the "OracleAS Portal Installation Guide for Dreamweaver Extension"
document that has a creation date of December 02, 2003. In this document,
under the "Installing the web service", step 2, it states that we should copy
the portalTemplate.ear file to the OC4J_HOME/j2ee/home directory. We do not
seem to have this path, the closest thing that I have is
/iAS/asdv1/iAS/j2ee/OC4J_Portal. I can then create a home directory under
OC4J_Portal. Is this the correct place to put this file? Step 3 in this same
document mentions using the java -jar command. In this step I am not sure how
to find out the <oc4j_host> and the <oc4j_ormi_port>. Can this be found in
OEM? If so, where?
Thanks for the helphello,
the install instructions you mentioned are about installing it int a stand alone OC4J instance, not an iAS container.
to install the extension into an ias container, please follow regular EAR deployment instructions that come with the OC4J containers. you would use EM to deploy the EAR file .
since this is not a production product, we suggest you deploy it to a separate OC4J and not to your production instance.
thanks,

Dreamweaver extension manager/Creative Cloud hangs - all updates installed
Dreamweaver extension manager/Creative Cloud hangs - all updates installed
I can't help you without more details. Are you using Windows or Mac? Which version of DW/EM were installed? Have these products worked well before? Which product hangs? Dreamweaver, Extension Manager and Creative Cloud application all hang? Does it hang during startup or after you did some operations?

How do I install the Dreamweaver extension in Sellerdeck 2014
I am trying to install a Dreamweaver Extension in Sellerdeck 2014. I have gone through the "normal" process of downloading extension manager and have mxp and zxp fiels installed. I get told I need a version of Dreamweaver later then CS6 but I have just purchased CC2014.1.
Geoff ([email protected])Hello,
Many thanks. I have converted mxp to zxp (using CS6) and installed a Sellerdeck extension (using CC) and downloading a Dreamweaver update. Finally I can see a Sellerdeck Menu item in DW. It looks like I am good to go.
All the best,

Cant install any extension for Dreamweaver with Extension Manager
I have installed dreamweaver cs6 but when i tried to install extension it says "This extension can not be installed, it requires Dreamweaver version 13 or greater.
You can only install extensions for DW CS5 with Extension Manager CS5. But this extension has declared it only supports CC or higher. So you can’t install it for DW CS5.

If you're on Vista, then try running Extension Manager as
Administrator. Right Click on the Extension Manager and select Run
as Administrator. And it may be that you might need to be logged
into your OS as the Administrator user.

Dreamweaver Extension Manager5
I am having trouble installing the ThemeDreamer extension. I have installed Dreamweaver successfully and when I go to the extension manager to try and instalkl the TD extension I get an error saying that the manager is unavailable and I must reinstall. I have done this several times but to no avail, I still get the error message. I was poking around the forum and read that someone had to install a patch? What patch must I install so that it works?
Im using Adobe Dreamweaver CS5I could be wrong, but it appears that extension is not CS5 compatible. Only lists up to CS4 on their website.

I just tried, and had no issue installing this extension. Try
downloading with another browser. If you still have an issue try
turning off any virus checker during the download.
I checked the installed code and it shows that it should be
able to install into Dreamweaver MX2004 or later. However, the file
name of the extension includes DW9 which is Dreamweaver CS3. What
version of Dreamweaver are you using?

CS6 unable to un-install an extension
I wanted to upgrade a Dreamweaver Extension to a newer version.
(Extension: WebAssist Databridge on Windows Vista - Dreamweaver CS6 in CS6 Design Premium)
First I tried to uninstall the existing version (v.1.1.2) using Extension Manager.
After waiting for more than an hour I aborted the process using Windows Task Manager.
I then installed the new version (v.1.1.3)
However, I'm now in a muddle because both versions seem to be showing on in Extension Manager (via Manage Sets) - but I'm unable to remove either:
Outside of Manage Sets I just see the old version - with Enabled unchecked and a yellow triangle showing. The mouse-over message with the triangle is 'Extension status is not consistent with extension set configuration)
When I try to remove either I get the message 'The specified extension 'WADataBridge.mxi' is not installed'.
When I click OK in the message box - I just get returned to Extension Manager.
When I click 'Manage Sets' both versions are listed - but Delete is greyed out - All that is available is Duplicate Import and Export.
Can anyone explain how I can un-install these extensions? (to enable me to install the latest version properly)Thanks Carl. To resolve the problem I uninstalled 'Desigh and Web Premium CS6' and re-installed. This allowed me to sucessfully install the extension.
Of course the real problem here was the amount of time it took to un-install the extension - Web Assist Support thought that Norton Internet Security might be to blame.
If I get the problem again, perhaps I'll try your suggestion above - although I noticed that InDesign seems to install numerous extensions - which might be at risk using this approach?.
Many Thanks
