HI Experts,
I am trying to install Report Authoring extension tool to work with MS CRM 2015 online reports but unable to install, getting below error even though I am having VS 2013, SQL Server 2014 and Data tools for VS 2013 installed on my machine.
Please help me to fix this issue.
When I double click the error getting below error.
Error : Business Intelligence Development Studio is not installed for Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services.
When I click the details , getting below error.
Thanks
Baji RahamanThe Report Authoring Extensions (any version) don't support VS 2013. Currently the Crm 2015 Report Authoring Extensions support VS 2012 and VS 2010, and the Crm 2013 Report Authoring Extensions supports only VS 2010.

AX Dynamics 2012 Reporting Service Extension Error - The user or gorup name is not recognized
Hi,
I am currently installing AX Dynamics 2012 Reporting Service Extension on one of our machine. But this always fails during the installation with this error:
DynamicsSetupLog
Our current domain is MWSerp
An error occurred while adding users AxERP\qaproxy, AxERP\qaaos, MWSerp\qaproxy to the SQL Server Reporting Services DynamicsAXBrowser role in the folder dynamicsAX. The error is: The user or group name AxERP\qaproxy is not recognized.
The database was restored from our old Ax Deployment on a different domain - AxERP if you noticed on the error, 2 domains are present: AxERP (old domain) and MWSerp (our existing).
I find it peculiar that it is still adding old accounts from the old domain which is not existent. Tried looking for it on the registry or on the AX Dynamics User account but there are no entries on AxERP\qaaos and AxERP\qaproxy on it.
Do you have any clue on where AX Installer is picking up those information which needs to be added on the DynamicsAXBrowser? Tried stopping /starting the AOS Service and generating WCF. Also tried looking on registry but couldnt find it. How can I bypass
it so the Extension will be installed successfully. I also tried not deploying the reports, just the Extension only.
Regards,I'd ask them here.

Dynamics CRM 2015 Install requires Active Directory on VM Windows 2012 R2 Server
Hello,
I'm trying to install Dynamics CRM 2015 on a standalone VM not connected to a domain (it's running under WIndows 8.1 Professional). The VM was configured using WIndows Server 2012 R2. I'm getting an error message shortly into the install process stating
it needs to access Active Directory.
How can I get around this issue - I just want to Install this CRM on the VM without getting into complicate network/AD issues.
Can you please advise ?
SO many thanks,
JohnCRM requires AD no way around that so the most likely solution is to install it on that server or on a VM not connected to your other networks

X11: You cannot continue. there is nothing to install.
Hi,
My X11 world has started misbehaving - whenever I try to xdisplay something back to my Mac I now get an error message saying 'unable to open display'. This all happened after the X11 session I was having with a remote linux box froze and I had to force quit X11. I thought I'd try to re-install X11 (via X11User.pkg) but I get to the part in the installer where I click on 'Install' and it then responds with:
You cannot continue. there is nothing to install.
I've tried removing the /usr/X11R6 directory and the X11 app itself but the installer message persists. Any ideas on how to proceed?
Thanks.Sometimes the reason why these things don't work is that there is a "receipt" in /Library/Receipts that you need to manually delete.

Hi,
I have created a User Access report for CRM on-premise using SQl query in the following format. One row corresponds to one user in organization. Currently, I am using Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online trial version and have two users in my organization.
I want to the same report for CRM Online environment. Only Fetch-Xml based custom reports are supported by CRM online environment hence this SQL query cannot be used.
I have already written fetch-xml query to retrieve user access records ("audit" entity records) in "last-x-months" (where x = 1,2,3,4,5,6) as below.
I am able to retrieve the records with "last-x-months" condition at a time, for example, the last-2-months in my fetch-xml query only.
For, example, when I retrieve the records in the last-2-months, it also includes the records in the last month. I want to count the records in the 2nd month only that is the difference between these two. The difference will be my 2nd column.
Similarly, I want the other columns.
For the case in the above example, I have created the two separate datasets to get the record-count for the last month and last-2-months. But, I am not able to use the two datasets in the same table in my report and hence not able to calculate the difference.
Is there any way to solve this problem?Hi,
I have modified my Fetch-XML query to retrieve all the required User Access records and removed aggregation and counting and grouping from the query as well. Did grouping and counting in SSRS. Now the report works fine as shown in the above picture. -
Extension Manager cannot install .XZP File. Why?
I have downloaded a set of Transitions from Filmimpact.net for Premiere Pro CS 5.5. It is a .XZP File
I Double clicked on it and Adobe Extension Manager CS 5.5 opened up.
I accepted the License agreement and it opend up.
I went to install These transitions and I get the following Message
"The Extension 'Transition Pack 1' does not contain valid signature. The extension will not be installed."
What does this mean and how can I fix it?
I want to install these Transitions in Premiere Pro CS 5.5?
Thanks in advanceExcerpt from:

What to do if the Adobe Extension Manager says:
"The extension cannot be installed"?
If the Adobe Extension Manager is giving such a message,
please update your Extension Manager.
You can update your Extension Manager by running Premiere Pro and open a project.
Then go to the Help-menu and select 'Updates'.
Or visit: http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/.
After updating the Extension Manager, the package will install just fine.

Error while uploading report in Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online
I have created a report using fetch-xml query for Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online. In this field, I have created a custom enity which has "Last Accessed Date Time" field of type "DateTime". This field stores the value in GTM. I am retrieving
the value of this field using fetch-xml query. Also, I want to calculate the difference between the current DateTime and the value (in the locale and not in GMT) of this field in "Hours Minutes Seconds" format. I
have written an expression for the same in reportas follows.
(IIF(((INT((DateDiff(DateInterval.Second, DateTime.SpecifyKind(DateTime.Parse(Fields!new_lastaccesseddatetime.Value), DateTimeKind.Utc).ToLocalTime(), DateTime.Now))/60))>60), INT(((((DateDiff(DateInterval.Second, DateTime.SpecifyKind(DateTime.Parse(Fields!new_lastaccesseddatetime.Value),
DateTimeKind.Utc).ToLocalTime(), DateTime.Now)))/60)) / 60), 0))
& "Hours"&
(IIF(((INT((DateDiff(DateInterval.Second, DateTime.SpecifyKind(DateTime.Parse(Fields!new_lastaccesseddatetime.Value), DateTimeKind.Utc).ToLocalTime(), DateTime.Now))/60))>60), INT((((DateDiff(DateInterval.Second,DateTime.SpecifyKind(DateTime.Parse(Fields!new_lastaccesseddatetime.Value),
DateTimeKind.Utc).ToLocalTime(), DateTime.Now)))/60) Mod 60), INT((DateDiff(DateInterval.Second, DateTime.SpecifyKind(DateTime.Parse(Fields!new_lastaccesseddatetime.Value), DateTimeKind.Utc).ToLocalTime(), DateTime.Now))/60)))
& "Minutes" &
((DateDiff(DateInterval.Second, DateTime.SpecifyKind(DateTime.Parse(Fields!new_lastaccesseddatetime.Value),
DateTimeKind.Utc).ToLocalTime(), DateTime.Now)) Mod 60)
& "Seconds"
This works fine in visual studio. But, when tried to upload the same report in CRM Online organization, it gives the following error.
Any idea how to solve this issue?I have found the following useful link-
- support.microsoft.com/.../en-us
The error occurred because I have used some functions("Int", "DateTime.SpecifyKind(DateTime.Parse(Fields!new_lastaccesseddatetime.Value), DateTimeKind.Utc).ToLocalTime()") in my ssrs report which are not supported by CRM Online., though
it works fine in visual studio. -
Hello,
I am going through the following Technet article:
Repair Microsoft Dynamics CRM Server 2013 (
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh699749(v=crm.6).aspx )
The repair option asks for the original CRM DVD media location. The problem is that how the repair procedure knows about the service packs or update rollup files location?
My concern is that the repair procedure replaced the update DLLs (or other files installed by CRM service pack installer) by the RTM files in the original setup DVD.
Is there any special consideration for repairing Microsoft Dynamics CRM Server 2013 once the Service Pack or Update Rollup is installed?

Upon downloading Adobe Arobat and installing, the installation freezes at 84%. It then reports an error and cannot install.

MS Dynamics CRM 2013 install via GPO
Good Morning,
I need to rollout MS Dynamics CRM 2013 to all 180 of my users. I would like to do this via GPO but I only have the .exe install files and no .msi files. I have adhered to the following -
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh699775.aspx
I have followed the steps under the section Create the CRMCLient_bitversion.msi file
but I am not achieving any administrative installation files. For example I have a network share setup as follows -
\\server\crm_files\test
I have mapped a network folder via command prompt using the net use command to map the Z: drive to
\\server\crm_files. As per the instructions I have run the following command -
CRM2013-Client-ENU-i386.exe /a /q /targetdir \\server\crm_files\test
When I run this command I am prompted to click Run or Cancel so I click Run. After 2-3 seconds I then get a dialog box showing the different switches that I can run with the only other option being to close the box. After closing the box I look in my
test folder and it is empty.
Should there be something in the test folder? Have I run the wrong command string?
EDIT: Please note that I only have the installation/.exe file for CRM 2013. The article on the link I posted earlier mentions an XML file that is included with the installation files. I do not have this XML file.
Jeet SHi,
Have you checked this article?
Install Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook using a command prompt
==============
CRM2013-Client-ENU-i386.exe /a /q /targetdir \\server\crm_files\test
The command here is not in the right way, we need first to extract files from the
CRM2013-Client-ENU-i386.exe, under the folder we will find the
SetupClient.exe and the mentioned XML files.
Run this command to extract the file:
CRM2013-Client-ENU-i386.exe /extract
Then use the command below to create an MSI file:
Setupclient /Q /A /targetdir "\\share\mscrm_client_admin"
Besides, for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 deployment, we'd better ask in the forum below:

ECC 6.0 integration with MS Dynamics CRM 2011 on-demand thru PI
Hi Gurus,
sorry in advance if some of my doubts will appear to you experts as stupid....
Scenario: we're on the way to realize the integration between SAP ECC and Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online (so...in the cloud) using SAP PI 7.11. In our scenario SAP PI will be the client, consuming webservices provided by MS CRM.
Unfortunately during the PI configuration (following SAP HELP instructions) we're facing the following problems:
1. The system (PI, dual-stack installation) has the parameter 'ssl/pse_provider' set to 'ABAP'. Considering that we would like to use SSL with SOAP adapter, questions are:
- Can we use the ABAP stack to maintain the PSEs, or it's mandatory to do it into the AS Java in order to use SSL with SOAP adapter.
- If so, we need to switch the ssl/pse_provider parameter to JAVA. Could this change create some kind of problems?
For information, currently in transaction STRUST we only have a Local node, neither Server nor Client nodes.
2. We have already installed the SAP Cryptographic Library for SSL but:
- In NWA we can't find ICM_SSL_<instance_ID> view or CLIENT_ICM_SSL_<instance_ID> keystore view into the list of Keystore Views.
- We would like to change the default Profile into RZ10 but we Can't find the profile...
- MS CRM (ws server) give us only a public certificate but do we need a private key too or we have to generate it from SAP?
- We need to know if is possible to use the MS 'LIVEID' authentication with SAP PI or SAP ECC.
- Do we need additional modules for the SOAP adapter(maybe an Axis one in order to use soap protocol 1.2)?
Could you please suggest the right configuration and give us some tips about this kind of integration?
Thanks a lot,
MRHi Mauro,
Looking at your background I thought maybe you could help me out wit this integration question.
I'm looking for some feedback on how best to integrate Microsoft Dynamics AX (DAX) with SAP CRM. We have a PI server.
From reading on the net, I see many people are using a middleware product called Scribe or BizzTalk. We already made an investment with SAP PI and we'd like to use it.
Do you have any references for Microsoft DAX integration with SAP CRM via SAP PI/ XI?
Thanks in advance! -
CRM 2013 Client for outlook cannot connect to CRM 2013 instance
Hoping this is the right forum couldnt see any specifically related to CRM
Ok we have recently setup an On-premise installation of Dynamics CRM 2013 and running the client on Outlook 2013 with Exchange 2010.
The CRM installation has had update rollup 1 applied to the server and outlook client
We have and IFD and ADFS deployment setup (*we require ADFS for a sister company as they will be utilising CRM also)
When we try to connect the outlook client we just keep getting prompted for credentials and it never connects.
In the log the following entries appear
12:17:08| Error| Error connecting to URL: https://internal.crm.timg.com/XRMServices/2011/Discovery.svc Exception: Microsoft.Crm.CrmException: Authentication failed
at Microsoft.Crm.Outlook.ClientAuth.ClaimsBasedAuthProvider`1.AuthenticateClaims()

at Microsoft.Crm.Application.Outlook.Config.DeploymentsInfo.InternalLoadOrganizations(OrganizationDetailCollection orgs, AuthUIMode uiMode, Form parentWindow)
This occurs when setting up the configuration with either outlook opened or closed.
I was assuming somewhere along the lines it is getting hung up with the claims process for ADFS on authentication.
Any information on this would be appreciated. CRM logins work fine for users logging into the main CRM site, just the outlook client wont authenticate.Did you ever have luck fixing this? I'm having a similar issue with the login box prompting but if the users put in
[email protected] & normal password they can login without issues. But it should just be using their normal Windows credentials without a need to separately authenticate. We happen to be on Windows 2012 R2, ADFS
3.0 with our CRM 2013 install. -
Using EchoSign for Dynamics CRM with Microsoft Outlook Client
We have successfully integrated Adobe Echosign with Dynamics CRM 2013 (on-premise) and have been issuing contract documents etc via Dynamics for almost a year. Initially, users were able to issue using both Dynamics web client & Outlook Client. Unfortunately, after the Outlook client SP1 RU1, we have lost the Echosign functionality via the Outlook client. Outlook client SP1 RU2 has just been installed with no change to the loss of Echosign functionality. This leaves us with only Dynamics web access if we need to issue a document via the Echosign for Dynamics solution, which is frustrating for our users. Has anyone else experienced this issue and been able to fix it? Any pointers would be appreciated.

Update - uninstalled Office and installed 32 bit Office 365. the Outlook client now works. users with Office 365 64 bit cannot send via Outlook client. uninstalling and installing 32 bit solves the issue (so far).Hi Steve,
Thanks for the update here. It appears to be that the 64bit version is still having issues which is being investigated.
