Hi, I have a iPhone 4S, 64GB memory, 20GB free running iOS 6.1.3 (yes, yes, install the latest version of the iOS ... I am otherwise happy with the way the iPhone has worked since purchasing it 3 years ago).
Last week, an app I regularly use, notified to be updated (11C Pro HP scientific calculator by RLM Software). I duly performed the update, but when I went to use the calculator, it appears that it is not compatible with the iOS ...
According to the developer, the Apple app store is supposed to check the iOS version before it allows the download and update install (this does not appear to have been done in this instance).
The developer directed me to an Apple page, Install the latest compatible version of an app on an earlier version of iOS or OS X that shows a way to roll back to a prior version compatible with the iOS installed, however, I cannot find precisely where the "Purchased screen on your iOS device" is.
If they mean the Purchases screen on the App store app, that shows a big blank nothing despite a considerable number if iOS app purchases since 2011.
Does anyone have a clue as to what Apple mean in the above link or know of some way to prevent the App store from changing (without checking the installed iOS) working apps before upgrading?

Check to make sure that your that you do not have anything that would be blocking access to the iTunes store like a firewall or security software. The second article below will assist with troubleshooting accessing the iTunes Store.

On A Mac you can only install one Firefox version at the time.
So if you really need an older version then try the portable version:

No. You cannot dowgrade your iPad once you have upgraded iOS.

Within Contacts, tap Groups at top left. Make sure all contact groups are checked to show, then tap "Done" at top right.

Need to get rid of iTunes update but can't install earlier version

I'm having the same problem many other people are - I installed iTunes 7.4.2 but my computer is running OS X 10.4.5. I've tried to reinstall earlier versions, but the when I go to install it tells me there's nothing to install - there's no application under the .dmg download.
I'm sure this is extremely elementary to everyone but I'd appreciate any help you all can lend. I can't upgrade my OS X because this is a work computer and I'd like to stay away from the wrath of IT. Thanks.

Use Pacifist to extract iTunes and the iTunes support files from the earlier installer or the Mac OS X installation disks, whichever is newer.

Re-install earlier version firefox

owing to compatibility issues I want to re-intall an earlier version of Firefox. If not I will have to go back to using a different browser. I asked more specifically about Norton toolbar etc but got no response. Maybe someone can give me a general answer how to re-install an earlier version.

IMO, there's no good reason why Norton should be surprised when Mozilla releases a security update for Firefox - it's not like Mozilla develops their new minor versions (or any version) behind closed doors and then springs them on the public. New "nightly" versions of Firefox-''next'' are released every morning, and when the new updated version is considered ready, there are RC versions available for testing for like a week before the new version is actually released to the public. Evidently Norton doesn't care enough to even test the security pre-releases themselves - they reply upon user complaints to set their update process in action.

Hello and thanks to anyone who can help. Recently I updated to QT 7.4.5 but I did not realize it would disable a very important function of a program I use called Toon Boom. It's an animation software similar to Flash. When you update to QT 7.45 it disables the quick preview function of Toon Boom which slows down production greatly and makes the animation process very difficult. Toon Boom has been unable to work out a solution with Mac so I've been trying to uninstall 7.45 and/or reinstall and earlier version. I believe anything earlier that 7.3.1 would work, but it seems impossible to uninstall 7.4.5. Does anyone have a suggestion? I've been trying unsuccessfully for days and would really appreciate any help!

Install earlier versions of LabVIEW over later versions?

I have LabVIEW 8.5, 2009, and 2010 installed on an Windows XP machine. I would like to install LabVIEW 7.1 and 8.0 on that same machine. Is it safe to installed those without first removing the later versions? Or do I have to first uninstall the later versions, and then install everything in order from oldest to most recent?

Not sure about 7.1 but today I built an 8.6 and a 2010 app on the same machine.

Not all installers check for "latest version" installed and will install OVER a newer app builder (Found that out the hard way once installing 7.1 from media provided by my local NI guy- took a SSP request and 1/2 day to resolve - just needed to re-install LV 2010 app builder) but the 2010 app builder will build an app developed in 7.1.
