Installing eLearning Suite 2- no roundtripping

Hello,
I have installed eLearning Suite 2 and am trying to use the roundtripping features and they aren't working eg "edit with Soundbooth" is greyed out.
I had CS5 installed and then went through the usual installation process, including a restart....any ideas how to kickstart it?
Liz

Hi,
I guess your Soundbooth is not serialized with ELS license key. Please check the Soundbooth license and Captivate license using below steps.
How to check whether a product is licensed in particular suite or not
1.  Launch a product.
2.  Click on Help -> Deactivate menu
3.  Deactivate dialog comes up.
4.  Dialog will tell which suite the product belongs.
If they are in different suite license other than ELS pls follow below steps
·         Deactivate license
·         Close the product
·         Relaunch the Product.
This should resolve your issue.
Thanks,

  • How to install eLearning Suite silently without the license agreement prompt

I was able to install the eLearning Suite 1.0 by following the guideline "How to install Captivate Silently".  I used the "setup --mode=silent --deploymentFile=install.xml" method, and that worked except one thing.  Adobe Air prompted for a License Agreement, and I also got a demo screen pop up.  How do I supress these two pop ups when using the silent mode setup?  I know how to do this for Captivate, but folder structures are different in eLearning Suite.
    Thanks.

    Bob,
Let me know if this summary is correct:
    1. If possible allways let Vista install apps in default directories.
    2. Adobe apps and their newer versions are by default installed in new directories (except for Acrobat). For example CS4 MC would be installed as a completely seperate entity from CS 3 MC. Another example, eLearning Suite 4 would be installed as a completely seperate entity from CS 3 MC. Therefore all settings in each newly installed application need to be set up. Does each application then have its own unique data directory structure?
    3. Since each Suite is a separate entity each license is seperate. This avoids cross license issues between different Suites.
    4. If a user allways wants the same (latest) version of an application to load then one must manually uninstall old versions in the other Suites.
For example, as a default install eLearning Suite 4 would be a completely seperate entity from CS 3 MC. The user would then delete the following older CS3 applications (as the newer versions are in eLearning Suite 4):
    Photoshop CS3 Extended
    Flash CS3 Professional
    Dreamweaver CS3
    Soundbooth CS3
Except for Acrobat as the default install would have updated the CS3 version.

  • Error Message When Installing eLearning Suite on New PC

Hi. I have been using the eLearning Suite 2 since its launch last year. I recently treated myself to a new PC (64 bit, Windows 7) and have downloaded the software again from the Adobe site so that I could reinstall it.
The download (via the Akami download) seems to go fine until I try to extract the files. I then get the following error message: A problem occurred while extracting some files. Check available space on your computer and the write privileges on the destination folder.
The priviledges are all fine, as I have installed a lot of software into exactly the same folder already. And there's about 600GB of space left on the drive. I also also came across the files that I used before to install the suite on my old PC, and got exactly the same message.
Am at a loss to understand what is wrong. Any ideas?

It turns out that the problem was I downloaded the files via Google Chrome. I tried both the Akaimi and the alternate files, and neither worked.
When I downloaded the alternate files via Firefox, they worked first time. No further tinkering required.
Thank you for your help, Mylenium. Have a lovely weekend.

I'm hesistant to click continue. Is there something I should do to stop this message prior to attempting the install?

  • Cannot Install eLearning Suite on Windows 7

Since I have not been able to get a straight answer from Adobe, I'll try here.  I get an error message that my system does not meet the minimum requirements of XP or Vista, but I'm running Windows 7.  Can anyone tell me if this application is compatible with Windows 7?  I find it hard to believe that it is not, but I'm at a standstill.

    Hello,
I'm using the eLearning suite on a Windows 7 laptop since months, but it is 32-bit. I just ignored the message when installing. You do have to run, at least Captivate, as an administrator. In the Captivate-forum some problems, more specific with the 64-bit version have been mentioned. Anyway be sure to install all the released updates, because they solved a lot of issues.
Hope it works for you as it does for me,

  • I am having a LOT of trouble installing eLearning Suite 6.1 (boxed/disc)

Can anyone assist? First issue is when I run the disc to install the Elearning suite I get an error message saying ... something like ..."have dectected system will restart soon ... ignore? quit?" I quit the first few times and rebooted my computer but it made no difference. so ... I moved on to the "ignore" option. this seemed fine ... installation of the progs looked ok ... BUT the 64bit version of Captivate did not installed correctly.... and yes, i am sure i have a 64bit PC.  When i try to launch the 64bit version i get the error message below:
this is driving me crazy! can anyone help me please?
    cheers,
    C

Okay, I have SOLVED this problem after many, many hours of googling solutions. YAY!  For those who may experience the same issue, here's the root cause and the steps i followed to fix it.
The problem stemmed from a program called iLivid I had downloaded onto my PC. If you google iLivid you'll see that it's known to cause many issues so DON'T install it!!! It hates Adobe and causes other computer problems too!
STEP 1: Firstly I had to uninstall iLivid using the standard windows uninstall steps. This program is notorious for not uninstalling completely so I then ran 2 programs to make sure it was fully removed from my system. For this i used RegClean Pro and CCleaner. I ran these several times, rebooting my PC between each 'cleaning' session.
STEP 2: After I was pretty sure evil iLivid had been fully removed, I downloaded the two missing .dll files that iLivid had somehow deleted or changed on my system. I found this youtube video with the dll's attached to download The video explains how to fix the 0xc000007b error for Lightroom - but the dll's worked for all my non-functioning 64bit Adobe eLearning progs too (Captivate, Media Encoder, Presenter Video, etc). After I unzipped them, I copied and pasted the two .dll's into each of the prog files that were not working (oddly PS 64bit had not been impacted). On my PC the 64bit progs were installed here C:\Program Files\Adobe - not in the Program (x86) folder.
After following these steps I rebooted my PC and now - AT LAST! - everything works fine. Whew!
Hope this helps others who have the same problem

  • Can't Install eLearning Suite

I'm having trouble installing the eLearning Suite CS4 (Windows XP) I just purchased. I had Dreamweaver CS4, uninstalled it and tried installing the suite. During the installation process it crashed my computer. I found a tech note that said to run the CS4Clean Script. I did that but it still crashed during install. I tried just installing Dreamweaver and that was successful. It installed Device central, Ext. manager and Bridge as well but I can't install any other products such as Captivate, Photoshop or Flash.
I found another tech note that suggested disabling startup items and services and that didn't work either. I did notice that I have a few CS3 programs still on my computer but would that create this problem? Any advice? Thanks in advance!

    Hi there
Sorry to hear of the issues. Likely you will need direct assistance from Adobe to get things installed. Have you tried contacting them?
Just a note here. There is no version of Captivate CS4. CS refers to the Adobe Creative Suite. Captivate is not part of that suite. There is only Captivate 4.

  • ELearning Suite 2 missing Acrobat Pro on install

    Hello,
I bought eLearning Suite 2 in January 2011. It stated that it included Acrobat 9 Pro.
I now need to use Acrobat Pro but it is not installed. I have tried to re-install eLearning Suite 2 but the Acrobat Pro product is not an option for install.
I did not get eLearning Suite 2 delivered on a DVD, I downloaded it.
Does anyone know how I can get Acrobat Pro as it should have been included in my purchase.
    thanks,
    Emily Lawrence

It probably was a separate installer that you never downloaded. Check your account or try this: Direct Download Links for Adobe Software.

  • Has anyone else had Windows Explorer or MS Office products crash with the eLearning suite installed?

I'm running Captivate 6.0.1. I frequently experience Microsoft Windows Explorer crashing or any of the MS Office products crashing as well (Word, Office, etc). Our office is running Windows 7. I'm the only person in our 250+ employee organization who experiences this problem but I'm also the only one with Adobe eLearning Suite Installed. Our I.T. dept has even rebuilt my machine from a clean install and the problem is still there. I'm not sure if it's Adobe related but that's what I suspect is the problem. Any one have any ideas or has this happened to anyone else? Thanks. BTW, there are 2 other staff here that have Captivate installed but not the full e-learning suite and they don't have this problem.

    Hi There,
    Welcome to Adobe Forums.
There is no such known issue that eLearning Suite installation is crashing MS Office or other Microsoft products.
    Please try this:
    1) If you are connected in a domain then first logon to a local admin account or in the built in administrator account.
    2) Disable the third party services and startup items on the computer as per http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135 and after restarting the computer install eLearning Suite.
    3) If eLearning Suite and MS Office or other Microsoft products work fine together then enable the services and startup items and restart the computer. Check again.
Please let me know if that helps.
Also let me know if you have anyother Adobe product installed in the computer.
    Thanks

  • Captivate  to soundbooth workflow with eLearning Suite CS4

I have looked in the Captivate manual, forums, and Soundbooth tutorials and cannot
find exactly how to export my audio from captivate to soundbooth and back.  I only find snippets that I should be able to do it.  I want to standardize the narration levels in my project from slide to slide.  Then, I would like to mass import back into Captivate without having to each each slide individually which would take forever.
Thanks in advance for any help on this or even a link where I can read the info.

    Hello There,
Which version of ELS are you using? If it is ELS 2.0, then you can roundtrip between Captivate 5 and Soundbooth CS5. We did not have Roundtripping with Soundbooth feature with ELS 1.0.
When you have installed eLearning Suite 2.0, this option is available when we edit the Project audio. Go to Audio Menu>Edit>Project. In the Edit Project Audio dialog, you will see "Edit with Adobe Soundbooth..." Button. Once you click that button, soundbooth opens and you can do the editing.
    Thanks,
    Vish

  • ELearning Suite 2 - Presenter will not activate but the rest of the suite is activated?

In late December, I purchased eLearning Suite 2.  After many hours of setting up eLearning Suite 2 in Win 7/Office 2010 32-bit, I discovered that Presenter and Captivate do not render fonts well.  So, I built an XP partition and installed eLearning Suite 2.  I used it the next day with no problem and I was quite pleased with the font rendering.
Tonight, Presenter has flipped to "Trial" and will not accept the eLearning Suite's serial number.  I was using Photoshop at the same time and it was activated.  I then tried Captivate, it is activated.  So, why has Presenter decided that it does not want to remain activated?  I purchased the suite for Presenter and Captivate.  I own CS5 Master Collection, Acrobat X, and CS4 Web so I really did not need another copy of Acrobat, Dreamweaver, or Photoshop.  However, having all of the products that I needed in eLearning suite 2 came in handy in my XP build.  I do not have any of my other Adobe products installed on the XP partition.
    Any thoughts or solutions?

  • Multi SCO 6 not downloading in eLearning Suite 6?

I downloaded and installed eLearning Suite 6 which includes Multi SCO packager 6 today on my MacBook.  I cannot find where it installed Multi SCO 6 anywhere.  It shows everything else and I need Multi SCO 6.  That was one of the reasons I needed to upgrade from eLearning Ste 2.5.  Can anyone help me understand why I can't see it in my Applications?
    Thanks

In Captivate, look under the File > New... Menu items.
You should see one there that mentions Multi SCO.

  • As of March 2014, does the eLearning Suite come with Capitvate 7 or Captivate 6?

Hi! I am new to eLearning and am considering getting the eLearning Suite. However, the website says that the Suite only offers Captivate 6 versus the new a la carte release of Captivate 7. I asked one of the LiveChat people and they said the Suite comes with 7, however, I do not think they are correct.
Could someone please clarify... it looks as if Captivate 7 is much better than 6, but I really don't know.
I currently own the Master Collection (Creative Suite 5) and am proficient in Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator, but would like to make the jump into eLearning and am trying to decide between the eLearning Suite, just Captivate, or even Adobe Edge Animate. Any help or advice is appreciated.
    Thank you, SKCgirl

  • Unable to install Adobe elearning suite 1.0 in windows 7 pro environment

I have spent two days trying to re-install my elearning suite 1.0 on a new computer.  I have called Adobe support three times.  The first time I got cut off after 25 minutes on line.  The second time I got cut off after 40 minutes on line.  On the third try, after over an HOUR on hold, I made it to a person and I told her my problem.  She was quiet for a second or two and then I heard the dial tone.  If anyone from Adobe support is lurking on this forum, shame on you.
I purchased the very expensive Adobe ELearning Suite 1.0 less than a year ago and installed in on my Windows XP Thinkpad machine.  It was a painful install.  I use Adobe Presenter 7 and Adobe Acrobat Pro.  Thats it.  Nothing else.
Unfortunately, my Thinkpad died and I have purchasaed a new Thinkpad -- a W510 Windows 7 Pro and 4 g ram.  Should not be an issue.
It will not even get past the starting gate.  I get an auto lang error and then conversion data file.
When I the error I see a similar error for a different product, however the error is for a language mismatch between the operationg system and adobe.  This is not my problem.  I have verified that both products are same language -- jeeze, English.
At this point the only option I can see if to purchase the very expensive Adobe elearning suite 2 -- but guess what?  It too comes with Adobe Presenter 7.  Why should I have to pay another 1000 for the same thing I already own.
Has anyone else had this issue who might be able to provide advice?  At this point I am so frustrated and irritated by Adobe I could scream.
I would also be very receptive of recommendations for a replacement for Presenter --
    Very kind regards,
    Stephanie D
