Installing Elements 11 with Windows 8.. app??

I'm trying to download and install Photoshop Elements 11 on my computer with Windows 8.  I can download it, but then I need to get an app to open it.  What app do I need?  I tried one that it suggested and it didn't work.  Then I just had to download it all over again.  So frustrating!  Any help is appreciated!  Thanks!

you need both the exe and the 7z.  download file 2 of 2 (the exe), put both the 7z and exe in the same directory and double click the exe.

  • How do I install itunes with Windows 7?

how do I install itunes with Windows 7?  I always get a Windows Installer error or administrator error __

Have tried: download but do not install iTunes, then turn off virus protection and firewall, restart computer, login as admin, then run the iTunes insallation.  After it installs, restart virus protection and firewall and logout and back in as standard user.
Windows leaves installers running or still resident which conflict with the iTunes installer.

  • How can I use the MacBook Pro webcam with Windows XP apps under Parallel?

Thank you in advance for your help with this matter.
I have a MacBook Pro and I have just installed Parallel with Windows XP. I would like to use the webcam that comes with the laptop for applications that run under Windows XP (ex.: PalTalk).
The application doesn't seen to recognize the camera. Do I have to load the drivers for this camera in XP? If so where can I find them and what is the process?
    Thank you again,
    Enrico

You probably need to load the Boot Camp drivers that are on the Leopard DVD. Whether it works or not I can't say, but you may want to post your question on the Parallels forums, since it's not an Apple product, and if anyone has gotten it to work you'll find them over there.

  • How do I install Firefox with Windows 7?

I have Windows 7 and after I downloaded Firefox to my computer and tried to install it a message pops up asking me to log in as administrator or my user name. Since I am the administrator and never set up a password, I try to log in with my user name. Logging in with my user name and password won't work, so I try with the administrator and since I don't know the password, of course that fails also.

Visit this page please: http://www.adobe.com/products/indesign/buying-guide.html and then on the right hand panel of the page you will find InDesign Annual plan to Join Adobe Creative Cloud to leverage the most updated features of InDesign CC. When you've purchased it, you'll be able to download the software through Adobe Download Assistant as a electronic download that you can save to your desktop or any other location. You can then doubleclick the installer executable to proceed with installation and activation later on as the installation completes. If you're having another version of InDesign (older version ) then please let me know if you already downloaded the installer and then waiting to install it on your Windows 8 PC.

  • ActiveSync requiring administrative rights to synchronize data with Windows Communication apps

We are currently testing W8.1 Update 1 in our corporate environment and have run into an issue when attempting to synchronize the corporate exchange accounts with the Windows Communication apps (Mail, Calendar, People). The first problem we encountered was
the requirement for each user to log into a Microsoft account just to access the Communication apps, this was handled through GPO by enabling the "Allow Microsoft accounts to be optional" policy. We could then launch the application, were prompted
for exchange server information, but then upon attempting to synchronize received an error message stating that "To sync this account, you first need to make your Windows user account an administrator." Obviously we have no desire to make all of
our users administrators, but for the purpose of testing we added the user account to the administrators group. The same error message appears! A quick search revealed that changing the UAC to a lower setting would resolve the problem, and sure enough we then
received a prompt to Enforce Policies and synchronization completed.
This can't possibly be the intention, that every Windows 8 user using ActiveSync is required to be an administrator and has to lower the UAC. We did determine that once synchronization has been configured, the administrative rights can be removed and UAC
can be increased once again, but this is a ridiculous option.
I would really appreciate an explaination of the reasoning if this is infact the intended setup, and if it is not, then what we are doing wrong. Thank you.

    Hi,
In following article, you will see that the admin permission is required to do so:
Activesync Working But Only For Some Users On Exchange 2007 / 2010
    http://alanhardisty.wordpress.com/2010/03/05/activesync-not-working-on-exchange-2010-when-inherit-permissions-not-set/
Also, Microsoft's recommendation and best practice is that if you are a domain administrator that you have 2 accounts. One for your everyday user which is restricted in the same way that every other user is and a second for your administration role.

  • Problems installing iTunes with Windows 8

    Hi,
I have recently purchased a laptop with Windows 8. I have appeared to have installed iTunes but when I open it I get an error message saying the following:
Apple application support was not found. Apple application support is required to run iTunes. Please uninstall iTunes, then install iTunes again. Error 2 (windows error)
I have tried installing it and re-installing but this has not helped
I have seen similar questions (and answers) on this forum but I am totally confused by the answers. Could anyone provide with a very clear, jargon-free solution to this problem?
    Any help is much appreciated
    Ali

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
The section Install missing components has advice on breaking down the iTunes installer into the individual .msi files which might prove useful if a component such as Apple Application Support won't install normally.

  • Installing Java3D with Windows XP?

Installation problems seem to be a frequent topic in this forum, though I haven't seen a solution yet. Maybe I can help by describing the (my) problem in detail. Any suggestions are welcome.
I'm running Windows XP professional, I have installed Java SDK 1.4 and it works correctly. When I try to install Java3D (java3d-1_2_1_03-win32-opengl-sdk.exe), the installer program extracts some files into a temporary directory, but then says it is done, while not actually doing anything. This behaviour is actually described in the installer program's "please read before continuing"-screen under the heading "installation".
The reason given is that I might not have the necessary rights. I am the only user on my machine and I have all the rights imaginable. Though, when I look at my j2sdk1.4.0 directory, the property dialogue says it is write-protected. So I remove the protection. Start the property dialogue again - the write protection is still there. This seems to be the heart of the problem.
With an earlier version of Java3D I had the same problem under Windows ME. Though under Windows ME the "protection" was actually an entry in a hidden file in der jsdk directory, so I could remove it. Under Windows XP I have unfortunately no idea how to remove this protection.
    Can anyone help?

I am using Windows XP Professional and JDK1.4 (j2sdk-1.4.0-win.exe).
I also had a problem with installing Java3D.
But, I got installed Java3D 1.3 Beta (java3d-1_3-beta1-win-opengl-sdk.exe) with Windows XP
    as following steps.
    1) Execute installer (java3d-1_3-beta1-win-opengl-sdk.exe).
    2) Introduction->Next
    3) License agreement->Next
    4) Readme->Install
    5) Choose a JRE VM->Install->Choose... (Choose your JRE VM folder, although you feel it seems be weird)
    6) Previous
    7) Choose an SDK VM->Next->Choose... (Choose your j2sdk1.4.0 folder)
    8) Install
Don't select "Add Java 3D to these VMs", it will crash your installer.
I think that the installer has a problem in detecting your VM folders.
Please, let me know whether it works or not.
