Installing Elements 13 - infinite loop

I purchased Elements 13 and Premiere Elements 13 and went to install Elements from the DVD. It asked for my Login/Passwd and
after entering them, the installer goes into an infinite loop with the 4 clockwise squares. How do I get it to install?

Express Edition Install fails infinite loop

If you try to install the Oracle 10g Express Edition and it does not work ( and I have yet to see it do so) you can't get to the database admin page.
But you can ask for help on the forum.

Seriously, I am trying to install on WinXPProSP2, I AM an Admin on the machine, there are no antivirus programs running, no firewalls, no proxy set, and yet I cannot get the database connection page to work. I can see the Oracle services running, so that isn't the problem
Trying to connect to the (already started) running db from SQL*Plus also fails.
And there doesn't seem to be any way to troubleshoot anything in this state. You need to get INTO the database in order to alter ACCESS TO the database. So it is effectively undebuggable once installed.
Any clues for this? I find it hard to believe no one else has run into this problem.

The problem is there is no static IP address or MS Loopback device installed on the machine.

ITunes update to 4.0 requires checking 32-bit mode in "Get Info" window. No such checkbox exists. iTunes refuses to launch. iMac 27-in., Mac OS 10.6.8. Tried re-installing iTunes 4, but went into infinite loop while in "Registering Installed Components"

After updating to iTunes 4, launching the application indicated that 64-bit mode was only available in Mac OS 10.7 Lion and to use in 32-bit mode by checking the 32-bit mode checkbox in the iTunes "Get Info" window. However, this window does not have the aforementioned checkbox. Thus, iTunes is now unusable. Tried to download fresh install from Apple site, but this process went into an infinite loop during the "registering installed components" phase of the installation. Had to force quit. System is iMac 27-inch, Core i7 processor, Mac OS 10.6.8. Is there a problem with iTunes 4? Can I go back to the previous version? Thanks.

Ah! I found several other people with the same problem in this forum. I followed the suggestion to move iTunes 4 from the "Applications" to the desktop and launch it from there. It worked! I moved it back into the Application folder and its still okay. Thanks! This is a definitely a bug that Apple needs to address quickly.

Installing tcltk2 package goes into infinite loop

I am trying to load the tcltk2 package downloaded from CRAN into my laptop that already has ORE 1.4.1 installed. However it is running into infinite loop with the following error output:

How to install firefox, when trying says previous version detected must reboot. Stuck in infinite loop

Trying to install newly downloaded firefox (had previously removed about a month ago through programs uninstall), however when I try to run the install, it says a previous version is detected, and the system must reboot. System reboots, but install never happens, I go to run the download again, and it appears I'm stuck in an infinite loop. I can't get latest version firefox to install

I succeeded in installing Firefox after getting this message.
I went to add/remove programs to verify that Firefox wasn't on the list, then I went to the program files directory and deleted the Mozilla/Firefox directory that was left over from the uninstall.
I attempted to reinstall Firefox and, voila, it installed with no issues.
I know it can be dangerous to delete a program directory, but if you have properly uninstalled the program itself and it isn't in the add/remove list (but still exists in the program directory), deleting the parent directory for the program should affect system performance.
I have done this dozens of times over the years and never had a problem (I have NEVER deleted a system directory though. That would be a BAD idea).

Windows won't install USB device...infinite loop of connect and disconnect

I've been very happy with my Ipod purchases over the years but this one is the worst problem I have ever had. Purchased an 8gb Ipod Nano 3rd gen for the wife as a Xmas present and went to install it on my PC today but no luck whatsoever. The PNP manager seems to go into an infinite loop of connect and disconnect with the odd "Itunes has found a corrupt player ...." message but the device won't stay on the PC long enough as it promptly disconnects from the PC again!
My other 3 Ipods all connect and work quite happily on this PC, I've tried a few of the other "solutions" that seem to fix other "problems" but as the device does not stay connected for long enough I can't do anything with it!
Has anyone else had this problem and been able to fix it? If so, what did you do to correct the problem?

I've just posted this on another thread...
I've tried unplugging everything and it still didn't work (I only have a USB printer, USB 1.1 hub and a USB phone connected). Funnily enough though connecting it to the USB 1.1 hub it works OK - go figure. Connecting directly to a USB 2 connector either on the front or rear panel and my PC goes into the connect/disconnect loop! My 1st and 2nd gen Ipod nano's and my Shuffle all happily connect to the USB 2 connectors on the front panel but the 3rd gen one does not want to know.
I think that Apple have got something seriously wrong here and it would be nice if it was acknowledged and a proper fix applied.

Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partition & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk.

Unable to install Elements 12 on Windows 8.1

When I try to install Elements 12 on Windows 8.1, the install fails. It says it needs DirectPlay, but according to Microsoft, that has been depricated. I'm caught in a vicious loop trying to get Elements 12 installed on my PC. What's up with that?

I downloaded the file, but it will not open. It has a .dmg extension, and apparently I don't have the necessary app to unpack it.Help please.

Cc-BPM in infinite loop....

Hi All,
I have trasported one object from our QA system to production through file method which we usually do. The object include BPM also. Now when i run a file the BPM is geting into the infinite loop. I want to understant where exactly the problem is occuring.
Yes, i found the graphic and got the method where it is failing but i am searching in which exact point it is failing in.
As this is a trasport so there would not be any sorts of changes should occur.

It seems that i am faing the problem while raising the exception. The below should be the steps but the message in production runs till " Loop1, Start Message: Receive1" . After that no expection is raised. so no message is send to "sendmessage".
What might be the cause of this failure....

Extension Installer in infinite loop

Hi,
I'm trying to use an Extension Installer to install some extra files for my application. I've searched the forum for problems with the Extension Installer and I've seen a few posts, even the same problem I'm having. But none of the suggestions have helped.
When I run the Extension Installer locally on my own machine it works just fine. However when I move the code to access over the internet the extension installer gets stuck in an infinite loop and my application will never start. And yes, my installer ends with eis.installSucceeded(false).
Based on other messages in the forum, these are some of the things that I've tried, to no avail:
1. Add System.exit(0) as the very last statement in my installer.
2. I don't specify a port in my codebase in either the application jnlp or the extension jnlp.
3. The webserver is running on the default port (80).
4. Tried adding "javaws.cfg.forceUpdate=false" to my javaws.cfg file.
I'm using JWS 1.0.1_02. My web server is IBM HTTP Server. The machine that I'm trying to install to is running W2K.
Anyone have any suggestions?

You don't have an <extension> tag in the jnlp file of

installer, creating an infinite recursion?
Yes, I wonder why I get multiple instances of the Extension Installer. And also that it works fine if everything is running on my local computer. If I just change the codebase and run everything over the internet is when I get it an infinite loop. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Update failed, phone is in infinite loop

Selected to install update, now my phone is in an infinite loop. Start screen -> boot from recovery -> install update -> errors out. Odin Mode can be accessed. Is there a boot.img available to fix this issue?

I grabbed a newer Samsung image from the internet and was able to flash it to the phone. But android crashed at the lock screen due to the failed update, adb wasn't responsive. Took it to the Verizon store in hopes that they had a back door method of fixing my phone...should have known better...after an hour and a half the Verizon kid handed me my phone and acted like I should be grateful..they flashed userdata, they completely waisted my time. Moral of the story, flash userdata and start over because the there is nothing more that Verizon will do for you.

Bluescreen - Caught in an infinite loop

I have a strange Problem with my System. Everytime I use a 2D/3D progam it freeze after about 30 minutes.
But the strangest thing is, new games like Quake4 , F.E.A.R and Oblivion do not freeze.
I tried everything that I know.
- Ran Memtest86+ like 8h, no errors
- Ran Prime95, no erros
- Checked System Temprature
- Tried Omega and DNA driver
- BIOS update
- Disabled Write Combing, found it on Microsoft Support Page
- Put the Graphiccard in another computer, it works perfect
- Reinstalled Windows, same error
- Put out Creative X-Fi

Well the problem is not only by games, the problem occurs by every simple 2D/3D application, so a patch wont help.

BSOD infinite loop problem - Satellite M55

Many people are getting "infinite loop" error with M55 / ATI 200M.
Is there a fix for this? My laptop (purchased in May 2006) is worthless...reboots every 2 minutes. Totally unusable.
There was a post here where the user indicated they found a solution, but the solution was not posted :(

The error appeared around the August / September 2006 timeframe. If you simply boot up the computer, it will happen with a few minutes, just viewing the desktop, with no applications causing the error.
The computer only has a 90 day warranty. It may have initially occurred within the warranty period, but the Toshiba support rep said it was out of warranty, and they could not help me. The M55 is a relatively inexpensive laptop, so the cost to bring it to a service center is would almost equal the replacement costs. :(

This was the most recent (July 2005) driver I could find for the M55-S1001.
If there is a different driver I should be using, please let me know.
Maybe I have to uninstall & then reinstall drivers? I don't know....

HashMap, HashSet and infinite loop

our code ended up in an infinite loop while parsing the entries of a HashMap with this code:
        Iterator it = myHashMap.entrySet().iterator();
        while (it.hasNext()) {
            field = (Map.Entry) it.next();
            // code that access content of "field"
        } as the loop creates some kind of objects, the JVM terminated with a out-of-memory. luckily we got a heap-dump file and that shows:
- the hash-map has 325 entries
- the loop was iterated more than 3 million times
- the iterator "it" has a current and a next field pointing at the same element of the HashMap

maybe the HashMap was accessed concurrently, but then there should be a ConcurrentModificationException.

Not necessarily. The iterators cannot always detectConcurrentModificationException.
api-docs of HashMap say:
A structural modification is any operation that adds

"add" or "delete" operation like map.put(...). am i

Oracle Installer, infinite loop

Downloaded: nt817personal.zip
Unzipped and placed in F:\oacle8iPersonal
click setup.exe
Installer appears, welcome...
next button, clicked; infinite loop.
installed products, clicked: infinite loop.
To stop installer, click X (close window).
env: NT 2000, workstation, jvm 1.3

Step by Step Installation 9.2.0.4 on EL5.5.
1. Make sure Java libraries are up to date.. (sysad side..)
2. Do not start installation from the 9204 base installation- Oracle Universal Installer has problem
2.1 Install first the OUI "only" from the 9206 patchset (p3948480_9206_Linux-x86-64.zip)
using the Oracle_Home youve just decided. While running runinstaller from 9206, choose second option thats for OUI Installation. Once installation is done check under Oracle 9i Home you would see /product/9204/oui/oraparam.ini and /product/9204/oui/bin/runInstaller. If you dont find /product/9204/oui/bin/runInstaller. You may have to rerun the runinstaller from 9206.
2.2 In ../Disk1/install/oraparam.ini edit the Linux value under [Certified Versions]
Linux=redhat-2.1AS,redhat-2.1,redhat-3,redhat-4,redhat-5,UnitedLinux-1.0,SuSE-9,SuSE-
* value must include redhat-5 inorder to suppress the error message for OS version incompat.
2.3 After completion of OUI install, edit again ../product/9204/oui/oraparam.ini as instructed
in step 2.2
2.4 Now install the 9204 base using the OUI from 9206. Run ../product/9204/oui/bin/runInstaller BUT
this time, select the "products.jar" from 9204 base installation set.
(ex: /u01/app/oracle/Disk1/stage/products.jar)
2.5 From here u should be able to install the SOFTWARE ONLY option. DO NOT create a database yet.
3. Patch the 9204 base with the 9207 patchset (p4163445_92070_Linux-x86-64.zip)
3.1 After decompressing contents, repeat step 2.2 again to suppress OS version incompat.
3.2 Now proceed with the patch application
4. You can now create a database using the "dbca" utility.
