Installing EP6-SP14 and upgrade?

Hi,
I need to install EP6-SP14 on WebAS 6.40.  I have got SP9 installation files for Portal and WebAS and upgrade support packs for SP10, SP12, SP13, SP14.
The procedure I have got now is to install SP9 first and then upgrade to SP14.  My first question here is can I upgrade straight from SP9 to SP14 without going through cumulative upgrades?
For some reason I don't have support pack for SP11, is this SP intentionally not released, so we can jump to SP12 from SP10?
Could anyone please give me the direct download links of EP6-SP14 download in SAP services.
Thanks
Siva

Hard drive packed up, but had Time Machine backup. I installed new ssd and upgraded to Mountain Lion, but I can't find iPhoto library and photos or iTunes songs? Is there an answer to this?  A backup run did not install either photos or songs. Graham

Thanks so much but none of that helped.  It was driving me crazy because it would back up another external drive.  I just changed the name of the drive from iPhoto/iTunes Library to Media Libraries and IT WORKED!! I guess for some reason it didn't like the drive being called iPhoto or iTunes ???? I don't understand but I have tried so many solutions and exchanging things out but the name change did it????!!!
Thank you for your help and replying to this.  Guess I made my own issue!

  • Difficulty installing downloaded programs and upgrades using iMac intel 5.1

I have been having some difficulty installing some programs or upgrades downloaded off the internet. Even though some are dmg files, my computer is still trying to open with stuffit and giving me the error message 17530. Sometimes I am able to try "open with" but even that doesn't open the program when I use disk utility. I am not sure hat the problem is and how to fix it.
    ny help is strongly appreciated.

I am mostly having difficulty with iMacsoft DVD copy program and the limewire upgrade for 5.4. I think I am at the point where if I get them to unstall, great and if not oh well, but what I really what to try to figure out is what the problem is so I can fix so I don't run into this again with other installations. I have downloaded other upgrades such as Office 2004 update yesterday and it installed just fine. I have installed other media programs and Skype recently and they installed just fine too, so I can't figure out what is going on with this two installers- iMacsoft DVD copy and Limewire upgrade. I get the message error 17530 for both and can't get around it. The iMacsoft is a dmg file so it shouldn't e trying to open with Stuffit Expander but it does. I have tried downloading them numerous times, but that didn't make any difference. I even did a repair disk permissions and that didn't help.

  • Can't long in to iWeb after clean install of Leopard and upgrade to Snow

I just recently did a clean install of Leopard and then upgraded to Snow Leopard. Everything is working ok except for iWeb. At first, I thought I had just forgotten my password but then I reset it. I logged on here with it and on iTunes. I can't edit my page at all. How do I get into iWeb now? The template I created through iWeb of course is not on my computer- it's just on my iWeb site. Can I call to get someone th help me or do I need to start all over. How do I do that because I have a subscription?
    Thanks

Daniel ~ Welcome to the discussions. If you didn't backup iWeb's key Domain file before the clean install, you'll probably need to start over. I say "probably" because even though you didn't deliberately back up the Domain file, perhaps you were running Time Machine — in which case, there's still hope:
Recovering items using Time Machine and Spotlight
Only iWeb's Domain file can be opened in iWeb. See this Apple doc on How to back up MobileMe data. It says:
Any websites you have published with iWeb should still be available within iWeb. iWeb stores everything in a Domain file, normally located in the ~/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder (although it can be moved). If you no longer have this file, you can view your currently published pages and manually recreate them within iWeb, but there is no way to import published pages back into iWeb.
You can manually back up the Domain file, or use Backup to back it up.
Paragraph 2.3 of this FAQ page gives some tips on how to use published files, graphics, photos, etc., to help rebuild the site from scratch:

  • Can I install Adobe CS3, and upgrade all the way through to CS5.5 on Lion?

    Hi,
I have registered Adobe Suite products since CS3 (DVDs) and been incrementally upgrading to CS5.5 on my Macbook Pro late 2008.
I recently bought a Mac Mini Server and I was wondering if I will be able to install my Adobe CS3 (imaged disks or external super drive) then run all my upgrades (see below) all the way through CS5.5 without any issues.
    1) Master Collection CS3 DVDs
    2) Design Premium CS4 DVDs
    3) Design Premium CS5 Download
    4) Design Premium CS5.5 Download
I have read somewhere that I could perhaps skip the 2 older CSx, and instead, just install my CS5 from download and enter the earlier serial numbers (CS3 + CS4) requested. But until I receive the Mac Mini with Lion, I cannot try this and confirm if this actually works.
Has anyone performed a similar installation on their Lion OS?
    Thank you.

  • How to install opatch utility and upgrade the existing version of db

Hi how to install opatch utility to the existing 9.2.0.1 database and how to upgrade to 9.2.0.6 using opatch.
    Thanks,

    First terminology:
patch - fix for some bug
patchset - collection of patches (many).
Opatch utility is only for applying patches not for patchests.
    Btw specify OS for future.

  • PhotoShop install - versions 1 and upgrade to 2

I upgraded to Leopard, and did a total erase and install.
I tried to install my Photoshop 1, and my upgrade to 2, and there seems to be no way to do this.
    I can't afford CS3.
Any thoughts - or kiss the money goodbye (I bought 1&2 about 3 months ago).

    Greetings,
CS1 won't work with Leopard, and even though I had CS2 loaded, it didn't work well at all when I got into the more advanced features and there were other little problems. I only got it to work because I did an update where it was already loaded on Tiger when I updated. There are some issues with CS3 as well, although not severe and they are about to come out with an update.
I doubt that they will do much if anything for the older versions. I use CS3 and have had no real issues, but if you go to Adobe's web site you will find their comments on CS3 and their commitment to fixing all this good stuff. Right now it's a finger pointing thing between Apple and Adobe.
    Good Luck - Cheers,
    M.

  • Can I use a diff PC to install iTunes10.5 and upgrade my iPad2 to iOS5?

Hi, I cannot install the latest iTunes on my PC used for syncing, and am resigned to needing Apple to fix the problem which may take a long time. I was wondering whether I can do the following without anything bad happening:
Install iTunes 10.5 on another PC
Plug the iPad in and copy apps etc to the new PC
Update to ios5, which would use the apps copied to the new PC to put back on the iPad
Then, when I have can get iTunes on my main PC connect the iPad to it and sync with that as normal.
    thanks!

Yes you can.  It's kinda complicated, but here's how you do it.  You'll need an external HDD.
    1. Open iTunes.  Open Preferences, and under Advanced, where it shows the iTunes Media Folder location, click "Change".
    2. Browse to a location on your external HDD.  I recommend creating a new folder called iTunes.
    3. Check "Keep iTunes Media Folder Organized".
    4. Click OK, and allow the process to complete.  This may take a while.
    5. On the File menu, under Library>Organize Library..., make sure both boxes are checked (it's okay if the bottom one is grayed out), and click OK.  Again, let the process finish.
    6. Close iTunes.  Navigate to C:\Users\UserName\Music\iTunes.
    7. Locate "iTunes Library Extras.itdb", "iTunes Library Genius.itdb", "iTunes Library.itl", and "iTunes Music Library.xml", and copy ALL of them to the folder you made on your external HDD.
    8. Go to My Computer and note the drive letter of your extrenal HDD.
    9. On the new computer, plug in your external HDD, open My Computer, and see if the drive letter is the same.  If it's not, then you'll have to use the Disk Management snap-in to change it before continuing.
    10. Do NOT update (or open) iTunes yet.  Copy the above 4 files to the similar location on the new computer, overwriting them.  (You can also make a backup of those library files if you want.)
    11. Open iTunes. Your library should now mirror the one from your old computer.  Play a few songs just to make sure they still play.
    12. Update!!
And there's no wiping involved when you sync, since it's the same library.  Well, unless you're updating to iOS 5.

  • Performance tuning in EP6 SP14

    Hi,
We just migrated our development EP5 SP6 portal to NW04 EP6 SP14 and are seeing some performance problems with a limited number of users (about 3).
Please point me to some good clear documentation related to performance tuning.  Better yet, please tell me some things you have done in your EP6 portal to improve performance.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Rick

    Hi
In general we have experienced that NW04 is faster than earlier versions.
One of the big questions is if the response time is SERVER time (used for processing on the J2EE server), NETWORK time (latency and many roundtrips), CLIENT time (rendering, virus-scanning etc) or a combination.
    1) Is the capacity on the server ok?  CPU utilization and queue lenght high?  Memory swapping?
    2) A quick optimazation server-side is logging: Plese verify that that log and trace levels are ERROR /FATAL or NONE on J2EE and also avoid logging on IIS and IIS proxy is used
    3) Using a HTTP trace you can see if the NW portal for some reason generetes more roundtrips (more GETS) that the old portal for the same content - what is the network latency?  Try to do a "ping <server>" from a client pc and see the time (latency) - if it is below 20 ms the network should do a big difference.
    4) On the client try to call the portal with anti-virus de-activated if the delta/difference in response times are HUGE your client could be to old? (don't underestimate the client). Maybee the compression should be set different to avoid compres (server) and uncompres (client) - this is a tradeoff with network latency however.
Also client-side caching (in browser) is important.
These are just QUICK point to consider - tuning is complex

  • How can I restore my iTunes library via Time Machine after an erase/install and upgrade to Snow Leopard?

    Actual problem:
I reinstalled all my programs that I need without a hitch. Meanwhile, I've been trying to recover the few files (mostly music) I actually store on my computer's hard drive as opposed to on my external HDs. I use one external HD for my graphic files and the other is strictly for Time Machine backups. I tried to recover my iTunes music, but I got a message that says: "The file: "iTunes Library.itl" cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes." I restored (I thought) my iTunes library Username/Music/iTunes." Additionally, I was going to upgrade to Mountain Lion, but I have seen that there were issues with Lion and iTunes libraries so I'm a little wary of this.
Excuse the long explanation, but I figure the problem may possibly be in the details of the weeks prior this problem:
I have recently been having issues with my iMac. I brought it in to see a Genius twice within the past month and they couldn't seem to find the problem. (It would restart Finder of it's own accord while I was using Adobe CS programs) I figured it was worth backing everything up via Time Machine and doing a complete erase/install/factory reset. I did so and had a problem again, and brought it in again, third time. The Genius did another diagnostics tests and found nothing and said my erase/install probably did the trick, but time will tell. I am, after the erase/rewrite and upgrade running Mac OS X 10.6.3 and previous to this was still running Tiger.

So, I didn't update iTunes and the rest of it after installing Snow Leopard. My stupidity, I figured that the OS was more up to date than the one I had previously so that all the programs that come with it probably were more current than the ones I was using. However, now that I have updated all my software, I am still getting the same message from iTunes that I was previously. I cannot open iTunes at all, same "The file: "iTunes Library.itl" cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes." message. I'm confused again. Checked a few other threads and whatnot and cannot seem to figure this out.

  • Quicktime for Windows -- on Vista -- opens a .mov movie once, then won't open the move and Quicktime won't even open itself.  I've installed the latest version, and upgraded it to Plus as well.

I am having trouble opening .mov videos with Quicktime on my PC with Vista.  I installed the latest version of Quicktime for Windows (V.7.7), and upgraded it to Pro.  It will open a .mov file once, then after that it will not open any .mov file and in fact, when I try to open the Quicktime player it will not open itself.  If I switch users to Admin, it all works fine, but when I go back to my regular role (where all of my preferences and programs are there for me to use), the same thing happens.  An .mov file will open once, then never again, and the Quicktime player seems to be disabled.
I've tried different .mov files, so it's not a corrupt file that's the problem.  And, in the past (a couple of Quicktime versions ago, I guess), all of this worked just fine.
Any helpful suggestions would be appreciated!

I have the exact same problem. They play on my Mac under Snow Leopard. Transfer to Vista gets a window with black and white and some other noise. No sound either.

It sounds like maybe 8.0.1 has downloaded onto your phone but not installed. You can check for it in Settings > General > Usage > Storage, Manage Storage. If it's there you should see it at the top of the list of apps. Swipe to delete it. 8.0.1 was pulled by Apple quickly after it was introduced due to issues and replaced by 8.0.2. Once it's deleted you should be able to download and install 8.0.2.

  • I upgraded my iBook G4 from 384MBytes to 640Mbytes and upgraded from Tiger to Leopard. After a few weeks the HDD failed. New Leopard install reports: "insufficient memory". I need Tiger install disks so I can install

I upgraded my iBook G4 from 384MBytes to 640Mbytes and upgraded from Tiger to Leopard.
After a few weeks the HDD failed. I bought a new disk, installed it and trued to install Leopard, but the  install fails reporting "insufficient memory".
I assume the installation requires more memory than the OS actually needs to be able to run.
I need Tiger install CD/DVD so I can install Tiger first and then upgrade to Leopard.

Call Apple Customer Support 1-800-767-2775, provide the Serial Number and specifications of the Mac, and for a reasonable fee, they will supply a replacement set of system discs (if available).
The discs will be for the original version of the OS that was pre-installed when the Mac was manufactured.
You need much more RAM than that.

  • Not able to install Logic on mac with OSX.  10.8.2. Error message: Logic Studio.mpkg cannot be opened as the power pc programs are no longer supported. I have logic studio 8 software purchased in 2007 and upgraded with logic studio 9 (purchased in 2009)

After an earlier attempt to move Logic from my other mac (OSX 10.6.8) with the migration assistant to my new mac with OSX 10.8.2. I've re-started the whole start up process by erasing the hard drive from the new machine and build it up from scratch. After a new "out of the box" start, I decided to install LOGIC from my disks : starting with my 2007 package Logic Studio 8 and upgrading with my Logic 9 package from 2009. When trying to start to install 2008 I got the error message : Logic Studio.mpkg cannot be opened as the power pc programs are no longer supported.
What does this mean? HOw do I get this working under 10.8.2 as it works flawlessly under OSX 10.6.8. For sure I didn't buy a new machine to have OSX 10.8.2 but I suspect this is the roadblock to installing my logic package.
    Help!

    Mark,
    Sorry...
I completely lost the thread (I actually got confused between you and another poster on a another forum that was asking the same basic question) and somehow ended up thinking you were trying to install on a PPC Mac
My apologies and please ingnore those parts of my last post relating to the PPC Macs...
You have an Intel Mac and therefore Logic Studio 2 Boxed Upgrade set should install/run on your Mac without issue. As I said earlier.. you do not need to try and install from the original Logic Studio 1 /Logic 8 Boxed set...(It won't work anyhow because you have an Intel Mac and that version had a PPC installer)  but just install from the Logic Studio 2 / Logic Pro 9 Upgrade Boxed setof DVDs instead...
Have you tried the "Make Disk Image" solution I gave earlier? That normnally works under such circumstances as what you are describing can happen when your DVD drive cannot read the DVDs correctly... I have had this situation myself where one drive read them okay and another failed to do so for whatever reason. Making and then installing from Disk images of those exact same disks resolved the issue for me...
You can try to reinstall directly from the DVDs of course though under some circumstances it may not allow you to reinstall Logic Pro itself if that part of the original installation attempt was successful... in which case you can also try this... (It's probably the easiest method if Logic 9 was already installed and present in your Apps Folder)
If the Logic Pro App is in your applications folder..
Run Software Updates to update Logic Pro to a version that will run under 10.8.2 (The initially installed version of Logic will not)
    Run Logic
Go to the menu bar in Logic and select Logic Pro/Install Additional Content and select all content in there..
This content is basically exactly the same as what is stored on the remaining DVDs of the boxed set so you might not need to use the rest of the DVDs to install from but download it all instead from Apple Servers...
