Installing Final over beta 3.2...or not?

I have not found a mention in the online LR3 directions or in the beta forum for installing when the beta 3.2 is in place.
Is the beta uninstalled before installing this final version?
Also, is the Acr 6.1 version installed after installing Lr3 final.
System Windows7 64bit (Lr2 Acr 5,7 and Lr3 beta)

Looks like it was not very clear.
The workflow will have to change a little between Cs4 and Lr3 if Acr6.1 is installed. I have become accustomed to having the tif 'edit' return and be a record in Lr3 so I'll think about that
Yo cannot use ACR 6.1 with PC SC4. If you set up CS4 as an external editor, LR will first create the TIFF before sending to PS. So there's no problem here - you'll have you TIFF edited in PS and inside LR catalog anyway.
Basically in CS4 I just do a final sharpening using a LAB action and perhaps saving that tif as a potential print or a copy is resized for a web jpg so it seems a bit much to upgrade for a minimal use. I'll check out Cs5 and acess the 'need or want'
There's not point in doing this. Lightroom now has arguably the best sharpening and it also does sharpen in the Luminosity channel only. Of course, if you like sharpeniong with masks and lots brushing, you'll still need Photoshop and you huge TIFFs.
As for keeping duplicates for printing and web, that's no a good idea either. You can always export for web or printing from Lightroom, then use and trash the exported files. That will save you tons of disk space.

I agree. I don't rely on iCloud as a backup, that is what I have my portable hard drive for. Its 500 GB so I can hold my entire iTunes library several times over on it. I have all my movies on my hard drive, but somehow "The Mist" got deleted off of my hard drive, so I figured "Well, the option to redownload an already purchased movie is available through iCloud, I'll just do that!"
And permissions and download availability have nothing to do with it, the movie's still there, it still allows me to redownload it. The only problem is when I click download, I get that message.
And nobody else uses my computer, but I do have multiple accounts authorized on it. Even still though, I am attepmpting to download it through the account I purchased it under. :/

CP5 trial install fails after beta

We are attempting to install Cp5 on an OSX machine that previously had the Cp5 beta installed. The Beta was deleted but not properly uninstalled using the uninstall software. The Cp5 trial install still detects the old software. Any suggestions to remove the remnants of the beta to allow the new install?

We found the original DMG, reinstalled the beta and then uninstalled. That solved the problem.

Installed Firefox 4 beta and EVERYTHING stopped working - could not type anywhere or click on anything - Windows 7.

Installed BETA 4 and could not type in any fields, including the URL, could not click on any links. Scrolling up and down the page did work. Tried reinstalling, no change. Then reinstalled V3 and V3 didn't work, so uninstalled BETA 4, reinstalled V3 and now things are back to normal.
Running Windows 7 with a handful of add ins.

My McCaffee was a trial thing, I think. I clicked on it to see if it was updated, and it said it was expired. So I'm just going to uninstall it completely and install AdAware, which is all I've ever used for years and never had a problem.
It occurs to me -- this must (?) have something to do with my new computer... it was slow right out of the box, and I called ASUS tech support the second day I had the puter up and running, and the tech asked me to do a System File Check (SFC), but discovered that the normal pathways through which one would do a SFC (according to him) did not work - the machine would not either recognize them or it would simply swallow the command and then just do nothing... he put me on hold for a few minutes. He came back with a workaround (don't remember it exactly, but it involved a DOS prompt), and I was able to finally run a SFC, which revealed "corrupted files" that had to be "repaired."
In a brand new computer? That can't be a good thing... Maybe the system software factory install was just a bad install? Because I had some slow Firefox issues on my old machine (Acer, dual core, 4gRAM, 2009 machine), but NOTHING like this. This is getting very frustrating. I'm used to just sitting down to my computer and using it, not sitting down and fighting with it for 2 or 3 minutes or more before i can do anything.

Using a computer, other than the one you have regularily been Syncing and Backing up to, was the begining of your issue.

It should not be a problem, as long as you are careful. Note the delete settings option when uninstalling firefox will delete bookmarks etc for ALL installed versions of firefox.
Firefox attempts to retain the profile information, that include bookmarks etc when updating. It may still be prudent to consider other backup methods not entirely dependent on firefox.
The firefox 4 beta will install by default in a slightly different location, you are then able to run either the current or the beta version of firefox. It is recommended you set up a new profile for the new version of firefox. see

my paddy is brandnew. Just 4 Days old.
I got it with iOS 4.3.5 on it. Everything was fine.
We`re developing for iOS, so therefore i installed iOS 5 beta.
Since i did that, i have Problems with the Homebutton.
Sometimes it reacts sometimes not at all.
Someone told me, "no support for beta"
I just want to know, if this could be a Software issue or if it is a real Hardware problem.
I heared that this problem appeared in a version of 4.xx as well.

There have been a very small number of users that have reported problems with the home button using iOS 4.xx. From what I have seen, closing apps seems to help in many cases.
No matter what you find on this site, you would be better off seeking help here.

Which operating system are you running? It might still be running in the background. You may want to check your Task Manager or Activity Monitor. Or better yet, if you feel uncomfortable with that, try logging out of your user account, then back in. That might kill any stray processes.

Can i install ios 8 beta legally if i am not a developer

And to answer the question specifically, the only legal way to get the iOS 8 beta is be part of Apple's iOS Developer Program. If you obtain the beta from any other source, that is illegal.
As Phil said, unless you are a developer there is no value in installing any developer seed since any such seed will be incomplete, probably full of bugs known and unknown, with no support should problems arise. Even developers are strongly, stronlgy warned against installing beta versions on production hardware. For you as a user, don't. Just don't.
