Installing firefox on usb to use with ubuntu os

Hi,
I want to install FF on a USB and use it when running UBUNTU (live).
I doubt if the Windows version will run, can you recommend a site that will supply a version that will run under this OS.Thanks

I take your point about not being able to write to CD-R. But I would expect to able to write to CD-RW. However, I have saved to a pendrive.
I have downloaded the tar.bz2 file and have checked the md5 hash. The hash in the programme is the same as that printer in the hashes directory. I assume that the hashes in the programme are calculated each time the hash compare programme is activated?
I did wonder about hackers however. Suppose a hacker cracked the FF website then substituted there own programme, say FF-Virus, then changed the hash in th hash directory. Presumably, we would think our programme is sound.
I wonder if the problem with hashes is more to do with the possibility of cracking websites?

What to do when I cannot install Firefox 6.0.2, problems with permissions?

I'm trying now to install Firefox 6.0.2 to my laptop. Asus x70IJ with Win7 64bit. I cannot get installation trough.
I receive pop-up with text "You may not have the necessary permissions to use all the features of the program you are about to run. You may run this program as a different user or continue to run the program as the current user". I have only one User and definetely have all permissions in this account. There is two choises to run it current user, or as the following.. Administrator is there, but does not aprove my password. And installation end with current user.

Unfortunately Linux isnt supported.
But the Dynadock supports and use the Displaylink graphic chip and usually the latest drivers/software could be downloaded here:

Install mac os x 10.4 with ubuntu

I need your help. I have powerbook g4 with only ubuntu as operatin system. Now I want to install mac os x 10.4 but I have no idea how to do it. I haven't the original cd of mac but I have the dmg file of the mac os x.

You need a Mac OS X 10.4 install disk.
You would need to boot from that and use disk utilities to reformat your hard drive to Mac extended journal.
Follow the installation for Mac OS X 10.4 after formatting.
You can't install Mac OS X on top of Ubuntu without first formatting the drive.
If you wish to duel boot, then your need to obtain another Linux install software that will allow you to do so.
The DMG wont be much help, unless you can burn to disk. To do so it would need to be a disk image.
You really are advised to obtain the original system restore disks.

After installing Firefox 4 Beta 9, using Manual Proxy Configuration fails to connect to the internet and also fails with corporate intranet. Has anything changed?

Initially, Firefox 4 Beta 8 is installed. Manual Proxy Configuration was used, and worked fine.
After installing Beta 9 using the built-in updater, connecting to internet and intranet fails instantly with Page Not Found error. Restarting Firefox does not fix the problem.
Clean install of Beta 9 also exhibits the same problems.

Downloaded Firefox to the desktop. When installing while not on the internet and the installation crashed. A window asked us to go onto the internet. We did and clicked the Firefox download button. When running the program, it crashed again.

I have an old PSUS4 and a Samsung ML-2010R. Both work perfectly so my issues are mostly with getting them to work each time I step up to the next Microsoft OS. The post by wdboer helped me get my Windows 7 32-bit PC connected to my printer over the LAN and via the PSUS4 so many thanks to wdboer.
I upgraded to a 64-bit PC with Windows 8 and followed the same instructions and used the Universal Printer Driver downloaded from Samsung but all I got was the printer to 'wake up' but it printed nothing (a direct USB cable connection worked fine). I finally got the printer to work by;
1. Windows 8 Control Panel
2. Device and Printers
3. Right click on the newly installed printer
4. Click on the Device Options tab
5. Selecting the Printer Model drop down and selecting Samsung ML-2010 Series followed by Apply
When I went back to the General Tab and clicked on Print Test Page, the printer woke up and printed the test page

How can I get a copy of Firefox 3.5 for use with an old piece of equipment that cannot use a newer version?

I have an old piece of equipment that hasn't been updated in years. When trying to access the internal web page, it states that I need to use Mozilla 3.5 or better. Although the latest version is far superior, this thing doesn't like it. Could really use some help with this. Thanks.
