Installing Flash From CD
Hi:
I just took over administration of a school network and need
to install Flash on all of the computers on my network. The
firewall prevents the Adobe installer to work correctly (Even with
the ActiveX set to low). Previously you could save the installer to
a CD Rom from an open machine (at home) like you can with the
uninstaller by clicking the "Save" button on the download wizard.
That no longer exists. Is there a way that I can capture the
install file(s) that I can burn to a CD for internal install from
my server?
Thanks,
Jeff

Install Flash from CS5 on new Macbook Pro errors
Hi,
I just tried to install my CS5 Master Collection on my new MacBook Pro. All the programs installed properly except Flash Pro. I understand why I have errors for Flash Player but the rest, I'm not sure how to move forward to get this installed. I tried opening Flash Pro anyway but it tells me to reinstall. I have tried 2 times now.
Any thoughts? I know I'm missing something or am I screwed since I'm using a Mac, which hates flash and CS6 is out on top of that factor?

How do I install Flash 10 so that it will work in all user accounts?
I have added an account for an 8-year old boy to access DisneyXD, Nick, etc. The problem is that I can only get Flash to work from my account.
I am running Windows XP and IE Explorer 8.0. I've tried the following:
* Giving administrator privilege to the new account and installing from there.
* Applying for and obtaining a free license from Adobe that's suppose to enable me to allow access via shared folders.
* Made certain that all the flash-related files in my account's Documents and Settings directory tree are also in the new account's, and in the Shared Documents.
The behavior is:
* If I install it from my account, it works in my account. When I got to the new account and access a page requiring it, it doesn't see it and asks me to download/install/upgrade Flash. When I try, the installation fails with no explanation. (I followed the trouble shooting steps suggested at this failure.)
*If I remove it from my machine and try to install it first from the new account (still with administrator privilege) I get the same unexplained failure.
I'm certain that I am not the first to want to do this. What am I doning wrong?
Thanks for any help you can give me.Sharma,
Here's step by step what I did after your last post:
1) I re-installed Flash from my account.
2) I Deleted the other account, along with all files associated with it.
3) I created a new account with administrator privilege.
4) I logged off my account and logged onto the new account.
5) I started WINDOWS explorer and navigated to windows/system32/Macromed/Flash
6) I ran FlashUtil10c (See Screen Shot One)
7) Clicked "Install Now", program ran and I got a box that indicated it was 100% complete.
8) As I watched, FlashUtil10c, Flash10c.ocx and uninstall_activeX all three disappeared from the folder. (See Screen Shot 2)
9) Logged 0ff the newly created account and logged back into my account.
10) Tried to access a game that required flash and got the screen in Screen Shot 3.
11) Re-installed Flash from my account.
I'm right back where I started. This has got to be a common thing for people to do. Where am I going wrong? The installer I'm using is "Install_flash_player_10_active_x" that I downloaded from a site I got with my free license and about which Adobe declared: "You may not share the above link, share information with others, or publish the above link on websites, blogs, or by any other means that can be publicly accessed. "
I appreciate your help.

Install Flash Studio 8 on Intel Mac
I have been trying to install Flash from the Macromedia
Studio 8 on my MacBook Pro. It gets almost done and has 190 files
left and just hangs. I read some other threads and found that the
problem was with the Extension Manager. So I downloaded the EM and
tried to install that by itself but it will not install at all. It
acts like it is installing. However it just says "Items remaining
to be installed: 190". It says that it is searching my hard drive,
but it just stays like that for as long as I let it try. I finally
just click stop and close the installer. I have let it run for half
an hour without change. Whatever it is doing, it certainly does eat
up processor time.
How can I get this installed?
Thanks. Can you try to install without the extension manager? Then
try to install the EM by itself after?

So even when I load up websites (like ones we here at my job have created) with very simple HTML and absolutely nothing Flash related, I still get a pop-up asking me to install flash (pops down from the URL bar at left.) How can I stop this without disabling all plug-in updates?
Moreover, why in the name of all that's good is it asking me about Flash when I have no pages open with anything remotely Flash like on them?
Thanks to anyone who can answer.I do not see why this should happen because of Firefox. Maybe you have some sort of adware on your system.
Please attach a screenshot of the popup

Try Firefoxin safe mode to rule out your standard extensions. if that does not solve the problem then scan for malware with multiple and up-to-date tools.
Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.
You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

How do I install flash player from the home screen?
I am operating Mac OSX. I have flash player version 16.0.0. I can't play any videos because my flash player is out of date. I download the latest flash player and when I go to install it, it takes me here www.adobe.com. There is no "Install flash player" prompt like there used to be. There is a "Download Creative Cloud" prompt for a fee. I go to the menu and there is no install flash player prompt. I go to Adobe Flash Player in the lower right hand corner and it prompts me to download the flash player again but not to install it and then I end up right back to the Adobe home screen again where there is no install flash player prompt. I search "install flash player" and it takes me to a prompt to download the flash player again which of course brings me back to the home screen where again, there is no install now prompt. I've been at this for days, extremely frustrated. How do I install flash player?
Hi Alicia,
If the browser is opening when you attempt to mount the DMG image, then somehow, the browser has been set as the default program to open DMG files. You'll need to change this association for the DiskImageMounter.app file to be the default program to open the DMG file. Please do the following:
Select the installer DMG file and CTRL-click on the DMG file.If DiskImageMounter.app is available, select that and skip to step 4 below
From the menu, select Open With > and then select Other...to open Finder
In Finder, navigate to /System/Library/CoreServices, look for DiskImageMounter.app and select it
At the bottom center of the Finder window, put a check in the box next to Always Open With
Click Open in the bottom right of the Finder window
This will mount the DMG file revealing the installer app.
Double-click the installer app (Install Adobe Flash Player.app) to launch the installer dialog window.
Follow prompts to install Flash Player

[Solved] Error installing Flash 64bit from AUR
I tried installing the 64bit flash from here :http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=21601, using 'yaourt -S flashplugin-alpha-64 10.0.d20.7-3'
It will say:
Downloading 10.0.d20.7-3 PKGBUILD from AUR
Error: 10.0.d20.7-3 not found in AUR.
So i tried another method by downloading this tar file from http://download.macromedia.com/pub/labs … .so.tar.gz
Then i untarred the file and on the desktop it shows 'libflashplayer.so'
So next i went to terminal, tried doing 'cd Desktop', followed by 'pacman -S libflashplayer.so', but it says i need to be root to do that. So i do 'su - ', and then 'cd Desktop', but it says '-bash: cd: Desktop: No such file or directory.'
How am i suppose to install flash64 bit? Thanks.

should be just "yaourt -S flashplugin-alpha-64" no version needed
the error is telling you it cant find 10.0.d20.7-3 which is not a package. did you get another error with the first part? or did you see it building the package?
i like building it by hand, so i usually (in a folder on my /home) i do
mkdir flashplugin-alpha-64
cd flashplugin-alpha-64
yaourt -G flashplugin-alpha-64 (to get pKGBUILD and other files)
makepkg (to build)
then install with yaourt -U [full package filename]
makes me feel like i'm in control

I evidently need to install Flash, according to everything animated I've tried to view, but efforts to do so have been unsuccessful (or it's installed but not in the right place? ) I see from forums I've visited that this is an ongoing issue with iMacs--I'm surprised since it's a download on Apple that it just doesn't come with the setup...and why is it so troublesome to do? (Weird for something so basic these days not to come with the newest, fastest, etc. iMac i7...)
If you are hang issues you can try calling AppleCare, you have 90 days of free telephone support. If they can't figure out the solution you need to contact Adobe, it's their product. Apple has announced they are moving towards HTML5 and away from Flash because it's so antiquated. It is also no-longer pre-installed on OS X so you need to download as you have found out.
You can try some basic resets to see if you can get it to work. I'd first recommend restarting in Safe Mode to clear some caches. If that doesn't work reset both the SMC and PRAM to see if that helps.
SMC RESET
Shut down the computer.
Unplug the computer's power cord and all peripherals.
Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds.
Release the power button.
Attach the computers power cable.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
PRAM RESET
Shut down the computer.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.

Hello,
I got my new tablet, and I am having problems to browse facebook. I can browse it perfectly, but I cannot see the videos of the walls, it says I need a flash upgrade and that I must press over the video to jump to the adobe website, to detect my operating system and browser.
Okay.
I do that, and it says I have a Mac OS X
That is not true!!! I have Android 2.2 !!!
So it is clear the automatic recognition don't work at all and I have to install the new Flash 11.
Okay... I am very confused about this, and I want to do this safely.
First doubt, where may I get the original Adobe Flash APK file with Flash 11 ?
There are a lot of websites that provide APK in a doubtful manner... and well, I'd rather prefer to enter in an official place from Adobe, and download Flash from there. But without automatic recognitions, I just want to download Flash 11 for Android.
How may I do that?
THIS TABLET DON'T HAVE ANDROID MARKET SUPPORT, so I cannot get the APK file from Market.
There are many many tablets that don't support market, and they also need flash to browse the web.
Second doubt... do I need a specific version of Flash for my browser?
How may I know what browser I have installed? I tried to verify this in my tablet and I have no idea of how to do that?
My tablet is this:
http://www.hannspree.com/Global/Product/TabletPC/HANNSpad/SN10T1/
http://www.hannspree.com/HSPv3Images/MicroSite/Hannspad/EU/index.html
I really would appreciate your help with this.
ThanksVery nice text, I've read it.
And well ? what happens? Don't understand.
I even cannot upgrade from Flash 10.1 to Flash 10.3
If are you telling me that Flash 11 is for Android 3 that is not my main problem, because I even cannot upgrade from Flash 10.1 to 10.3
So if Flash 11 is for Android 3 ok understood.
But how may I update from Flash 10.1 to Flash 10.3?
I still having the same problem, I cannot upgrade.
When I activate the Merkamarket (an alternative Market) it detects I have Flash 10.1 and recommend me to apply an update to Flash 10.3
Okay, I apply the update, and cannot be installed.
So I need a way to update the dinosaur (Flash 10.1) to something more recent as Flash 10.3
Also... I dont understand why Adobe don't provide a link to download the APK files of Flash 10.1 or Flash 10.3 ?
All the APK files must be find in alternative websites, but not in the website of the maker (this)
I dont understand that. Why?
If you or someone can guide me step by step about how to upgrade a bit my Flash 10.1 to Flash 10.3 (assuming Flash 11 be just for Android 3) I'd be grateful.
Thanks -
I am using XP-SP3 & Firefox. When installing Flash Player Software i get a message: "This Publisher has been blocked from running software on this machine". How do i unblock it - HELP.
Hi,
This is a security setting on your system that is resulting in this behaviour, not Flash Player installer itself, or anything with the installer. There are many Google search results on this. The first hit I got, was the following from the Microsoft forums:
To unblock a software publisher:
1. In Internet Explorer, click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.
2. Go to the Content tab, Look under the Certificates section.
3. Click on Publishers button.
4. Select the Untrusted Publishers tab.
5. Select the Publisher you wish to unblock and click the Remove button.

Installing Sol10 from DVD - USB drive as flash source
OK. First I managed to format the removable USB drive as UFS. Then I
could mount it as a UFS drive and copy my flash archive file onto it.
I've got another machine that I want to install Solaris 10 and use
this flash archive. So I boot from DVD and was hoping to be able to
specify the USB drive as location of flash archive. Trouble is even
going into the mini-shell it doesnt seem to work.
Any ideas? Or are there easier ways to do this?
I did think of Jumpstart or specifying the flash location as netwrok
drive or FTP but I dont think thats going to work. Trouble is first
time around I had a job getting the network interface to work - not
supported during the solaris 10 install but had to install a driver
later.
Is there any way to slipstream this driver into the Solaris 10
install? (like you can do with windows)z92 wrote:
I am trying to install Windows (8, specifically, but that has nothing to do with my problem) on my MacBook Pro 15-inch, mid 2009 (3.06 Ghz Intel Core 2 duo, 4 GB 1067 Mhz memory) running OS X 10.8.2.
I have a Windows 8 ISO and a 8 GB USB drive, so it is my understanding that I should be able to create a Windows install disk on the USB drive using boot camp. This looks incredibly easy based on every tutorial I have found online, and if I got the screenshot they all show me, I'm sure I would have no trouble:
However this is not the screenshot I get. Originally I was trying to do this last night on OS X 10.7, and I thought the issue might be with my version of bootcamp, but I have now purchased and upgraded to 10.8 and have the same issue with boot camp 5.0, that is my Boot Camp initialization looks like this:
As you can see, I am missing the key option of creating a Windows install disk.
I've exhausted my google-ing capabilities trying to find out why my Boot Camp does not give me this option, or trying to find a work-around, but it seems to create a Windows install disk from an ISO on a USB without Boot Camp can't be done on a Mac.
Can anyone please help me resolve this issue?
You are nearly right, it can't be done on a Mac that has an optical drive, and yours does. Burn the ISO to a DVD. -
I can't install Flash Builder from the Web Premium suite, what should I do?
I just downloaded the Adobe Creative suite 5.5 Web Premium and am about to install the program but notice a note next to the Adobe Flash Builder program... it explains that my system doesn't have the requirements needed for this program. I checked and it explains further details stating that I need to have a • Mac OS X v10.5.6–10.6 and I doubled check which version I have and it's OS X 10.5.8. Doesn't this actually mean that it does meet the requirements?
Please advise as to what can be done to be able to download this specific program.
Thanks,
Sarah-Kayok,
so for the memory: it's 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 and when I click to

We do still need more information such as how much memory you have,
resolution of your monitor, how much disk space you have free, which
processor are you using. I good guide is to look at the system
requirements and try to post for each of the items within the
requirements. The system requirements for Web Premium can be found
at http://www.adobe.com/products/creativesuite/web/tech-
specs.edu.html.

Also you can find this information within your System Profiler. The
easiest way to access the system profiler is to go to the Apple Menu
and select About this Mac. Once selected clicking on the more info
button will launch the System Profiler.

Installing Leopard from USB flash drive
Basically i need to install Leopard from a USB flash drive on my Macbook, but i will sum up my issue: (I'm afraid i'm not a computer-"geek", so bear with me when i try to explain the issue :-))
My macbook hdd recently died on me, so put in a new, clean hdd. I now need to install Leopard on the new hdd from a DMG-file.
So, i have an 8GB USB flash drive and DMG-file of Leopard.
I formatted the USB flash drive to NTFS, and copied the 6+GB DMG-file onto the flash drive.
I tried booting from the flash drive by holding down the option key, but a blank screen shows up with a mouse pointer. There is no Flash drive or install icon to select.
Can anyone tell me, what i'm doing wrong?Hi Dweepe;
On top of everything else the other posters pointed out, I would suggest that formatting the USB flash drive to NTFS is not doing you any favors either. NTFS is a propriety file system from Microsoft which the Mac can only read with special software install.
My suggestion is to replace your optical drive. A new one can probably be purchased for much less then the problems you are creating for yourself in your attempts to work around replacing it.
