  • Cannot install flash 10 on firefox

I have tried several times to update my Shockwave Flash plugin from version 9.0246.0 to version 10.0.45.2. When it completes, it always says version 9.0.246.0 successfully installed.

Your plugins list shows that you have the Mozilla ActiveX plugin installed.
The Mozilla ActiveX plugin is not compatible with Firefox 2 and 3 and you should remove it.

Update the [[Java]] plugin to the latest version.
    See http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp#jdk (you need JRE)
If the Flash uninstaller doesn't work then see if you have the Flash plugin file(s) NPSWF32.DLL in the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\plugins) and delete the file from that folder. There may also be a flashplayer.xpt and a FlashUtil.exe in that folder that you can remove as well.

  • How do I install Flash Player for Firefox on Windows 8?

I installed Windows 8 today on my Intel Core i3 6GB RAM 64-bit machine, and cannot get Firefox 18.0.1 to run Flash.
I kept getting "PlayerPlugin_11_5_502_146.exe" memory errors.
I've gone to http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flashplayer.html and tried the 11.6 Beta releases offered to no avail - although the error changed to "PlayerPlugin_11_5_602_146.exe".
Help? (But, please be gentle - I might be a "5" on the "PC Tech Competency Scale to 10".)
    Many thanks,

  • Cant install flash player for firefox and steam

    hi
as i stated in the topic i cant seem to install flashplayer for those 2.
just to give you all a general information i have a core i5 760 cpu on asus p7p55d-e pro motherboard with 4gb of memory and gtx 480 as my system. when i used internet explorer flash was working properly it also works properly in google chrome but it doesnt play movies in steam client leaving a message in the middle that i need the latest version and i cant seem to install firefox plugin anyway too it redirects me to do it manualy and thats where problems start.
when i go to flash website from ie or chrome it shows i have the latest version available installed but it doestn work with steam and firefox.
what i noticed is when i download the latest version of flashplayer installer for windows 7 64bit either for ie or for other browsers and try to install it including running it as administrator the installer doesnt do anything that leads to install . what i have noticed is after i confirm in windows that i want to install it i get this little circle as my cursor for about 1 min randomly showing up and turning into normal pointer on top of that when i turned on task manager to see why is that happening i noticed that flash installer starts in services  tab one two or even three times at a time and closes itself to do it again one or 2 and one again. also noticed it showes few coppies of flash installer that appear in that time in my temp directory on disc C with weird names like quote:
    "install_flashplayer11x64ax_aih_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_ 1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_ 1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1"
all in all im not so much bothered about firefox as i dont use it anymore but i wish i could install flash for steam
does anyone knows solution to my little problem ?
p.s i tried ussing that flash installer in windows safe mode with no positive result.

  • Windows 7 - can't install flash player in Firefox...Help!

Firefox says web page needs plugins. Click to install them, but Flash Player install (default is older version) fails. Try to do manual install. File downloads, but when I try to install, Zone Alarm alerts on the program. It does this repeatedly with the program name adding a '_1' to its name each loop. Eventually, the install quits and nothing is installed.

After going through the Adobe troubleshooting steps several times, finally found the following link to download Flashplayer directly: http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_64bit.exe
    Once installed, Flash started working.

  • Cannot install Flash Player for Firefox

I am running Windows XP HE with SP4.  IE and the latest version of Firefox are installed.
In both IE and Firefox, on attempting to install Flash Player with the standard link, I get an error message in a small window opens, title "getPlus+(R): Error," text "Unable to load a GUI," "OK" box.  I got around this by locating a standalone installation for IE, which downloaded an installation file to my computer.  However, this does not work in Firefox, even when obtaining access to that link from Firefox.  The file executes, but Flash Player still shows as not installed in Firefox.
I cannot find any separate standalone installer for Flash Player for Firefox.
This error message appears to be generated by the Adobe Installer, a getPlus product.  My thought was to uninstall the Adobe Installer, and try to start over.  However, the Adobe Installer shows up in the list of installed programs reached through Control Panel, BUT clicking the button to uninstall the program does nothing.  The program remains listed.  I cannot find a location for the Adobe Installer program on my disk drive.

As I said in my first message, Adobe DLM appears in the "Add/Remove Programs" dialogue box, but clicking the Remove button doesn't do anything.  The screen flickers for a couple of seconds, and Adobe DLM remains listed as an installed program.  There is no installed program listed under the description getPlus or NOS.
I found useful information at http://www.findmysoft.com/news/Patch-to-Fix-Critical-Adobe-Download-Manager-Vulnerability- Released/ .  Not to put too fine a point on it, information at various locations shows that the DLM has been a troublesome program.
IE did not list Adobe DLM, getPlus, or NOS as an addon.  Firefox listed "getPlusPlus for Adobe 16263" as a plugin. There was not other extension or plugin listed under Adobe DLM, getPlus, or NOS.
Based on the information at the link cited above, I tried the following. First, in Firefox, I disabled the getPlusPlus for Adobe 16263 plugin.  Removing it was not an option.  First, using services.msc, I disabled the getPlus Helper service.  Removing it was not an option.  Third, I deleted the directory c:\Program Files\NOS and its subtree.  I did not find anything relevant in the Application Data directories.
I then went to the link on the Adobe Web site to install Flash Player.  (I know, it's already installed, but I wanted to see if the DLM would now function.)  This time, the first thing that happened upon clicking the link to install it was that the site completed a new installation of DLM.  However, on proceeding to the installation of Flash Player itself, I got the same error message noted above, "A GUI could not be loaded."  So nothing changed.  Opening services.msc again, I noted that the getPlus Helper service had been reinstalled, and was no longer disabled.  The c:\Program Files\NOS directory had been recreated.  I tried manually starting the getPlus Helper service, and trying the installation again through the Adobe Web site.  Same result, no help.  And note that DLM is not being cleaned up automatically as part of this process, as is supposed to happen.
I'm thinking that a previous installation of DLM left behind some corrupted relic that is preventing it from running properly.  Very likely an incorrect registry entry.  But good luck finding that one without help.
NOS Micro has a link to "Contact Our Support Team" at http://www.nosltd.com/index.php/support .  Maybe as a last resort see if they would respond?  Note that I can't locate a way to get support from Adobe except by paying $39.95 per incident for telephone support.
    Thanks!

  • Ever since I agreed to install the new Mozilla Firefox I can't even send an e-mail successfully. I want the old Mozilla Firefox back and I will never agree to a newer version of anything. Please give me the old version back.

I want my old Mozilla Firefox back because ever since I agreed to try the new Firefox, I've had nothing but problems every single time I try to send an e-mail. What used to be easy and quick, now is difficult and takes an inordinate amount of time; sending it over and over, and telling the message that tells me something like a page is not responding, to send it again or quit; and I have to do this many times over to get it to send a text. That has never happened before. I will never agree to a newer version again. Just please give me back my old Mozilla Firefox.

Beginning with Firefox 4, Macs must have an Intel x86 processor (which you do NOT have; yours is a PPC Mac) '''''<u>and</u>''''' OSX 10.5 or higher

The good news is that Firefox 3.6.24 still supports OSX 10.4 and Macs with the PPC Mac architecture. The bad news is that support for the Firefox 3.6.x series is likely to end in the first quarter of 2012.

You can try the third-party product '''''TenFourFox''''' that supports PPC Macs. Firefox 8 version of '''''TenFourFox''''' is available. The product is based on Firefox released versions. All support is provided by the developer, not by this site:

  • Flash with Mozilla Firefox

    Hi,
I keep getting the same message over and over on Mozilla Firefox and is really getting me down no matter what I do. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, disabled hardware acceleration. Even checked the box that says " Don't ask me again"!! And still it asks me to either stop plugin or continue (as pictured) All I want to do is surf the web, maybe watch a few videos without these complicated plugin issues!
Sort it out please guys, you know you can??
    I'm running Windows 8.1, 64 bit
    Thanks

I have similar problem. Can you try this workaround: Flash plugin crashing in Firefox on Windows 8 with StackHash_fa66 error | David J. Pryke ?

  • Cannot install Flash Player in Firefox

    Windows Vista 32 bit
    Firefox 3.6.8
I have been trying for days to install the latest version of Flash Player for Firefox but keep going round in circles.
I download the Download Manager which then prompts me to restart Firefox.
When I do, the Download Manager starts but I then get a screen telling me that in order to use a proxy I need to enter an address and a port. I am not using a proxy. If I click OK the screen reappears. If I click cancel the downlaod is cancelled.
I have tried uninstalling previous versions, but this makes no difference.
    Any advice would be appreciated.

Don't use the download manager; download the installer directly from

  • How to I install Adobe Flash for Mozilla Firefox on Ubuntu 11.04

I have tried copying the Adobe 11 beta .so file to the plug-in file in the Mozilla folder, but it says I cannot change something I don't own. I have tried the 32 bit plug-in, useless.
PLEASE DO NOT TELL ME TO DOWNLOAD THE PLUG-IN FROM THE UBUNTU SOFTWARE CENTRE, IT IS SAID TO BE INSECURE AND SAID TO TAKE UP ALL THE CPU SPACE!!!
Please just tell me how to get flash for Firefox.

  • I have installed Flash player in Firefox, now how do I use it. Need to use for a simulation class assignment. Thank you

How to use in Firefox, install is ok.

    Hi,
Adobe Flash Player is a plugin that allows browsers such as Firefox to display Flash media on web pages.
Open your simulation in web browser, if there is any flash content , it will display in that.
I hope, I was able to answer your question if not then please provide some more information on this.

  • Installing Flash Player on Firefox

I'm using the most recent Firefox and I noticed that the plugin was no longer there, I then tried several times to install it.
The download worked fine and the installer seemed to go though the mototions but when I then checked the plugin list it wasn't there so for some reason the installation isn't working or it's not initalising...of course I'm willing to accept that it could be a Firefox issue. It is the most recent Flash Player that I've been trying to install and I imagin that an auto update may have caused the issue if the problem is with Flashplayer rather then Firefox.
Is anyone able to give me an idea as to which is at fault?

    Hello,
Please try to do a clean install of Adobe flash player

  • Error installing Flash Player (for Firefox?)

When trying to install the latest Flash player (10.3) on my Windows XP machine, I get the error "The procedure entry point CM_Get_DevNode_Status_Ex could not be located in the dynamic link library SETUPAPI.dll"
I hit OK and it continues.
Now I have the Flash player working in Google Chrome, but it will not work in Firefox.
    HELP??!!

It sounds like you have a corrupted setupapi.dll on your system.  What files do you have in your C:\windows\system32\macromed\flash folder?  I'd recommend downloading and running the free version of Malwarebytes.  Once your system checks out clean, you might want to take a look at this page for solutions on getting a valid copy of that dll back in place:
    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/findbyerrormessage/a/setupapi-dll-not-found-missing-error.ht m
In particular, I'd check out the sfc /scannow command.
