Did you try to uninstall Flash Player?
download the FP uninstaller from http://www.adobe.com/go/tn_14157 (save to disk)
    download the offline FP installer
for Internet Explorer http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe (save to disk)
for other browsers http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe (save to disk)
close all browser windows, then run the downloaded uninstaller, followed by the appropriate installer(s).

  • Installing flash player on old sytem with window xp 32 bit

Having trouble installing flash player. get to about 71% installled and then error out with failed to register.  Need help in find the correct soultion to fix the problem. I have tried about every solution that is recommended.  Had trouble the last time when tryinh to install verion #12.

    Hi Oldman7,
Thanks for posting the new files.  Please try the recommendation in the Flash Player | Windows registry permissions tech note, but use the reset_fp15.bat.zip file I posted previously, and take heed of the warning on the page, before proceeding.  You'll definitely want to back up your system, create a System Restore Point, and back-up the system registry (although this last item is not mentioned in the tech note).
Essentially the 'failed to register' error is being returned due to 'access denied' permissions errors (for both you and Vinix Wu).  The permissions need to be repaired fro Flash Player to register.

  • I have a mac computer.  I am trying to install flash player but get the message "install adobe flash player wants to make changes.  Type your password to allow this." I do not use a password to open the computer.

I have a mac computer that uses no password.  When installing flash player I get the message "Install adobe flash player wants to make changes  Type your password to allow this.  I can't get past this message.

    Hi,
To change your password you will need to open System Preferences, then open Users & Groups, click on Change Password.  Change your password to a temporary one, then when you have finished you do the same procedure to change it back, by typing in the temp password then leaving the new password blank.  Hope this helps.

  • Can any one tell me how to install flash player on powerbookg4.i actully uninstall it to upgrade it but now i can not install new one.it always says get flash player for powerpc when i try to install it after downloading.it is 10.5.8 version

Flash Player version 10.1.102.64 is the last version available to PPC Mac users. However, this Flash version won't work for many videos on Facebook, YouTube and other sites. Adobe's latest version, 10.2.x or later, is only for Intel Macs. Adobe will not provide a newer Flash version for PPC Macs.
The message requesting that you download Adobe Flash Player takes you to Flash Player requiring an Intel processor. Doesn't work on a PowerPC processor. I found a hack, installed it & it works with Firefox, TenFourFox & Safari.
Download this http://www.steelbin.com/FPforFBPPC.zip to your desktop, unzip it, and replace the current Flash Player plug-in which is in your main/Library/Internet Plug-Ins folder, (not the user Library). Save the old one just in case this one doesn't work.

  • When I try to install flash player on my mac, I get to the panel that asks for my name and password, and it will not take my password.  tried changing to a new password and same result

When I try to install flash player on my Mac, I get to the panel that asks for my name and password, but it will not take my password.  Tried changing the password, but same result.  Suggestions??

This password prompt is presented by your operating system, and is intended to keep you from accidentally installing software.
If this is your personal machine and you don't need a password to log into the computer when it first starts up, you can probably leave the password blank and click OK to get past this prompt.  If this is your personal machine and your normal password isn't working, check to make sure that CAPS LOCK is off, and type the password carefully.
If this is your work machine and it's asking for an Administrator password, well, you'll need to have a conversation with your friendly IT person.

I am using XP-SP3 & Firefox.  When installing Flash Player Software i get a message: "This Publisher has been blocked from running software on this machine". How do i unblock it - HELP.

    Hi,
This is a security setting on your system that is resulting in this behaviour, not Flash Player installer itself, or anything with the installer.  There are many Google search results on this.  The first hit I got, was the following from the Microsoft forums:
    To unblock a software publisher:
    1. In Internet Explorer, click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.
    2. Go to the Content tab, Look under the Certificates section.
    3. Click on Publishers button.
    4. Select the Untrusted Publishers tab.
    5. Select the Publisher you wish to unblock and click the Remove button.

  • Getting Authenticate Proxy Server questions when Installing Flash Player?

    Hello all
I am getting the menu below when trying to install Flash Player.  This is an old proxy server that I have not used for 3 years.  I cannot find anyplace on my computer where this is still referenced.   How do I get around this menu and install the Flash Player?   Where do I look to find where the installer is pulling this information?   None of my browsers are set up to use a proxy server, so I am stumped.   I do not use a proxy server and Flash Player will not install without this specific server information.   HELP.
    Thanks,
