  • Videos will no longer play and add-ons and plug-ins say up to date?

My computer no longer plays videos-- whether on facebook or youtube... facebook videos get a tiny square but never open to play-- youtube screen where video should be is blank... all add-ons and plug-ins say up to date. I have comcast internet. Thank you

Please try two things, please clear the storage for the flash plug in by right clicking where the video should be and clicking "Global settings" and navigate to storage. Clear the stored data and restart Firefox.
Some problems with Flash video playback can be resolved by disabling hardware acceleration in your Flash Player settings. (See [[Flash Plugin - Keep it up to date and troubleshoot problems|this article]] for more information on using the Flash plugin in Firefox).
To disable hardware acceleration in Flash Player:
#Go to this [http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html#main_Solve_video_playback_issues Adobe Flash Player Help page].
#Right-click on the Flash Player logo on that page.
#Click on '''Settings''' in the context menu. The Adobe Flash Player Settings screen will open.
    # Click on the icon at the bottom-left of the Adobe Flash Player Settings window to open the Display panel. <br/> <br/>[[Image:fpSettings1.PNG]] <br/>
    # Remove the check mark from '''Enable hardware acceleration'''.
    # Click '''Close''' to close the Adobe Flash Player Settings Window.
    # Restart Firefox.
This [http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/help01.html Flash Player Help - Display Settings page] has more information on Flash Player hardware acceleration, if you're interested.

how to install third party plug-ins from photoshop elements 11 to new 13 in my PC win7?
    Thank you.

    Hi ,
Your windows is 32 bit or 64 bit .
    If win 7 32 bit
Just copy the plugin from PSE 11 and paste it to PSE 13 plug-in folder.
    If win 7 64
PSE 11 and PSE 13 are installed as a 32 and 64 bit respectively , so you need to install plug-in again.
    Thanks,

  • HELP! Where should I put my codecs and plug-ins!?

I do a bit of amateur editing, and I have a bunch of codecs and plug-ins. And a few months ago, I realized I MIGHT have been putting them in the wrong folder!
Macintosh HD / Library / Quicktime
So... I "copied all" and I pasted into the OTHER folder that seemed to have some codecs and plug-ins:
Macintosh HD / System / Library / Quicktime
Then, I "copied all" from THAT folder into the other folder, not overwriting duplicates.
I DO remember that there were some in BOTH folders before I started adding...
HELP! Where should they all go?
    tia,
    e

Um, mpeg2, Divx, etc... flip and perian are fine, but don't come anywhere NEAR allowing you to play the totality of formats out there.
However, I guess my question should have been, which ones are "Apples" and which ones aren't... I'd love to NOT have duplicates in both folders.
Is there anywhere that lists the "default" Apple Quicktime Pro codecs and plug-ins that should be in that "apple only" folder?

  • Sample and Plug Ins, and Knobs oh my!

So I am still a total noob to this.  I have used workstations and synths for the majority of my career but with space and weight being an issue, I am looking to use my midi more and more for live gigs.  I have a couple of questions.
    1) In MainStage, how can I assign a recording I did in logic(sample) to one of my drum pads on my midi controller? Could I made the pad a different note like a c#0 and have the sample trigger when i hit that c#0 pad, while my key is setup c1-whatever.
    2) I downloaded studio 2 from Presonus and there's some sounds I like in there.  How do I load them into MainStage?
    3) Finally I have my setlist all setup. Is there a way to instead of manually clicking on my laptop to switch between different parts of the song I have setup, to just use a knob on my midi device?
Btw I have MainStage 3, M audio Axiom 61 Pro.
Thanks so much to anyone that replies, it is much appreciated!
    -Drew

  • Acrobat 10 and plug-ins for Acrobat 9 incompatibility?

    Hi,
Today I've installed trial version of Acrobat 10 to check if my plug-in for Acrobat 9 could run for it as well. But after Acrobat 10 launch I've got a window:
Acrobat.exe - Unable to Locate Component
This application has failed to start because MSVCP80.dll was not found.
Quick check over plug-ins shipped now inside Acrobat 10 showed me that they are using now MSVCP90.DLLL library instread of MSVCP80.dll used for Acrobat 9.
Does it mean that we need to recompile our source code with higher version of MS Visual Studio? If so - what version should we use?
Does it also mean that our plug-ins prepared for Acrobat 9 are incompatible with Acrobat 10 or there is some way they could still run without recompilation?
Any comments on this would be highly appreciated.

I always prefer to use shared libraries, i.e. DLLs, in their supposed shared way and not statically embedded into my executable if I know that some environment is pretty stable and customer is aware of various possible DLLs dependencies. If Acrobat could do some job for me - then I'm happy with that without allocation of additional memory/resources needed in case of static linking.
So, you don't answer my question. What C++ compiler's version should be used to put MSVCP90.DLL reference now instead of previously used MSVCP80.DLL?

  • Trouble installing third party plug-ins Illustrator CS5.1

    Hi,
I am running Mac OSX 10.5.8 and am using Illustrator CS5.1 via an Adobe subscription. I have repeatedly tried to install several plug-ins made by Astute Graphics (www.astutegraphics.com/). I download the file, double click on the .dmg folder and then double click on the installer icon. The installation process is quick, easy and completely automatic, and each time installation is confirmed "successful". But, the plug-ins' tools are nowhere to be found within Illustrator once I open the program, nor do any files appear in the Plug-ins folder. Just recently I downloaded and installed another company's plug-in without any difficulties, and the corresponding file appears in this same folder.
Any ideas what could be wrong? Any help would be very much appreciated.
    Kind regards,
    Mark

    Hi Monika,
Thanks again for taking the time In response to your post,
Normally the plugin files should be right inside your plugins folder inside the Illustrator program folder.
Yeah, but there's nothing there unfortunately. I have even does a search on the computer and only come up with the files inside the dmg disk folder, nothing else. So, if installation was successful where could the files have been installed? I just don't get it, I've even looked in the Photoshop Plug-ins folder and nothing.
Do you have different versions of Illustrator on your computer?
Do you run virus protection software? (This often disturbs installation processes)
No,  I have only this one version installed, and as I mentioned it's an Adobe subscription. Is it possible that because it's a subscription I'm having difficulties? Perhaps I'm limited in some ways because it's not a purchased product.
The tools themselves can be found in the tool panel in Illustrator. ColliderScribe consists of sub-tools under the select tool (black arrow - the icon should have a small triangle on the bottom right).
Yes, this is what they told me as well, but there's no submenu for the select tool. There is a submenu of the white arrow select tool though, but those tools are a part of Illustrator. As well, they mentioned that there would be a submenu under the Illustrator Menu, but there's nothing there either.
It's the most bizarre thing, the installation process is so simple and straightforward. I download the dmg file, double click on it and up appears the install icon, double click that and follow the procedure. I couldn't screw it up even if I wanted to, the process is completely automatic. Something appears to be blocking the installation process, I just have no idea what it could be. I paid for the ColliderScribe plug-in thinking that if I had the key up front it might help, but nothing.
I don't know what to say, I appreciate your time and assistance. I'd really like to purchase a few of the plug-ins, they look wonderful. I just wish I could get them work.
    Kind regards,
    Mark

  • Installing third-party plug-ins...

I just recently installed Waves v. 5 plug-ins on my system, in hopes to use them with Logic Express (7.2). I opened up Logic, but it does not recognize the plug-ins - they are nowhere to be found! I click on the "Inserts" slot in the mixer window, but the only plug-ins found are the pre-installed ones - no Waves.
They definitely are installed on my system, but Logic does not see them. Can anyone help?

Make sure you have the latest version of Waves and that there the Waveshell-AU.component file there: Library/Audio/PLug-ins/Components

  • Up-grading to CS5 and about actions and plug-ins

Is there a fast, easy way to import my actions and additional plug-ins from my CS4 photoshop to my new upgraded CS5 photoshop.  Or do I have to install them all over, individually?  HELP!

Don't try for "fast and easy".  You will more likely get into trouble - this has been shown time and again.
    Plug-ins:
See if the manufacturer has released an update that's Photoshop CS5-compatible and get that if so.
Run the installer if they provided one.
If the installer doesn't see the new Photoshop, you may have to isolate the plug-in files (there may be supporting files) and copy them manually.  If this is the case, let us know here in a follow-up message - the description how to do that can be complex.
Create a new folder, separate from Photoshop's installation area and one you're going to keep, into which to put manually-installed plug-ins.  Point Photoshop's Extra Plug-ins folder at the new folder.
For those plug-ins without installers, copy your manually-installed plug-ins to your new folder.  Restart Photoshop CS5 to get it to see them there.
    Actions:
Older actions are usually perfectly compatible with Photoshop CS5, but it doesn't hurt to check to see if the maker has issued a newer set.
For those that you created, modified, or don't know where you got, in your older Photoshop click the set name once to highlight it, then click the little fly-out icon at the upper-right of the ACTIONS panel, and choose Save Actions.  Save them in a folder separate from the Photoshop installation area.
You can usually just double-click a .atn file to load it into the newer version of Photoshop.  If not, use the fly-out menu and choose Load Actions.

  • XI 3.1 WebI client Java and Plug ins

    Hello All,
Can anyone confirm which version of Java, or any other plug-ins or downloads, will need to be installed on a Webi Client (running on Windows 2000 and XP).
    Please reply asap.
    Regards,

    Hello,
XI 3.1 WebI client (applet & Rich client) runs with JRE 1.6. No other plug-in or download is required (besides, anything necessary to run the client is installed with the BOE client install, incl. required JRE).
    Hope that helps,

  • Bad script nsExtensionManager.js:623 locks up Firefox add-ons and plug-ins

I've started getting the message below any time I try to use add-ons or plug-ins such as Google toolbar and Yoono.
A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete.
    Script: file:///C:/Program%20Files/Mozilla%20Firefox/components/nsExtensionManager.js:623
Neither the "cancel" nor the "stop script" button will make the warning box go away. Nothing but a reboot will. And any time I try to go to Tools-Add-ins, or use any Add-ins, the box comes back and I'm locked up again.
Rebooting does not solve the problem, and oddly, reinstalling Firefox does not solve the problem. I also opened Firefox in SAFE mode, and I still get the exact same problem.

    You're probably not exiting Firefox completely. Open the task manager and choose the Processes tab. Find the firefox.exe, select it and end process. If you have the Firefox Preloader installed, look for the FirefoxPreloader.exe and end that process as well. You'll know everything is closed when the error message stops reappearing. Hopefully this will enable you to open safe-mode. (;
