Installing iTunes 11.0 error message

When I try to update to 11.0 I keep getting this message.
There is a problem with this window installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor.
I've tried several times....Help, what is the problem.

Quite often those messages are caused by disk/file damage rather than a genuine permissions problem.
Try running a chkdsk over your C drive. There's instructions and a guided help in the following Microsoft document:

Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you now get your iTunes install to go through properly?

Unable to install itunes again- getting error message

I'm getting this error message : Service 'Apple Mobile Device' (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services. as I install itunes. I've tried multiple times and no joy.

Installing itunes 8.0 - error messages

Frustrated ! I have been trying to install iTunes 8.0, but keep getting the following error message - C:\Documents and settings\martin bonner\local settings\temporary internet files\content.IE5\DI5KIOYZ\iTunes801Setup[1]exe is not a valid Win 32 application.
I have removed itunes from my programs files.
Probably a simple solution - can anyone help ? Thanks.

When you uninstall, the items you uninstall and the order in which you do so arearticularly important:
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order and then restart your computer:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support (iTunes 9 or later)
Important: Uninstalling these components in a different order, or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended affects.
Let us know if following that article and uninstalling those components in that order helped the situation.

When installing iTunes I recive error message and i am able to ignore but if I want to open itunes after installation it says apple application service was not found

The section Install missing components may allow you to install Apple Application Support.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If the advice above doesn't resolve things you could try this alternate version:
iTunes 12.1.0.71 for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) - itunes64setup.exe (2015-01-28)
which is a 64-bit installer for the 32-bit version of the core application, similar to previous 64-bit releases.
Or roll back to the previous build:
iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (32-bit) - iTunesSetup.exe (2014-10-16)
iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (64-bit) - iTunes64Setup.exe (2014-10-16)

I have just installed iTunes and the error message the file iTunes Library.itl canot be read because it was created by a new version of iTunes. If I just downloaded it how can a newer version have created it?

These ones are typically caused by underlying problems on the PC that also often cause Windows Updates to fail to install. If we can fix the Windows Update trouble, we can usually get the iTunes trouble cleaned up en passant.
Go into your Windows update and try to check for new updates. If updates install, stock up on the ones you're behind on, restarting the PC if requested to do so. After the restart, try installing iTunes again. Does it go through this time for you?
If windows updates fail to install, go into your Update History and doubleclick the failures. What alphanumeric codes appear for you? (For example, 8007000B.)

It sounds a lot like your phone was hacked or jailbroken to unlock it prior to your trying to update it.
If that is the case, it is nowpermanently bricked.

The iPhone 3G is Not Compatible with iOS 6...
It also appears that your phone may have been Hacked and / or Jailbroken...
If this is the case... you are out of luck... Because...

Please re-install iTunes. Error 7. Windows error 126". I now can't sync my iPhoneand I am worried that if I re-install I will lose all my contacts,calendar, notes, etc.

I too had this problems (Windows 8.1). A few weeks ago after the previous update before this version of itunes, I'd had a problem with the itunes store crashing and at that time I followed instructions to copy QTMovieWin.dll to the itunes folder, which fixed the store crashing.
Today I fixed the problem by:
Delete QTMovieWin.dll from C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes.
Uninstall ALL Apple Software using Control Panel / Programs and Features. I uninstalled:
iTunes
QuickTime
Apple Mobile Device Support
Apple Application Support
Apple Software Update
Bonjour
Delete the folders:
C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple
Restart the computer
Reinstall QuickTime
Reinstall iTunes
Everything works GREAT now, including the iTunes store. You will not lose your media files, I got everything back, all my settings, playlists, etc.

And when i try to Re-install itunes i get a message from itunes ERROR 7 (windows error 1114), now how do i sort this out ???

Check for .dll files

3. Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
1. Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
2. Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using theMicrosoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
3. Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.
