Installing itunes 12 on win7.

The install utility reported invalid signature, so I searched the forum and it recommended downloading from the web site.
I tried to download from the apple.com. I click the Download Now button and it goes straight to the next page, saying its all done. However, no file in download directory.
I've tried 3 different browsers, I've tried disabling my firewall, still no results.
My system is i5-2320, 8Gb, 64 bit Win7 SP1.
Any advice?

Surprise suprise! Can't install itunes to my win7 64-bit...help!

So I got a brand new Sony Vaio laptop with Windows 7 64-bit for Christmas and it won't let me install itunes. I keep getting the message:
"The installer encountered errors before iTunes could be configured.
Your System has not been modified. To retry these operations at a later time, please run the installer again."

This error is usually due to a Windows problem that also affects Windows updates.
Check in Windows updates to see if any have been failing. If so is the error number the same or something different? If so post the error numbers.

Lost music file association in win 7 after installing iTunes.

After installing iTunes on my win7 PC my music did not show up in iTunes and now when I go to the music files in windows it shows all the folders empty. I performed windows search on my drive and with some effort can find the music. Please note these files are not in the my music folder, they are in a file in my documents. ( I have a reason for that ).

Ps the above question is how to I put it all back?

When installing iTunes 10.5 64bit on my win7 64bit computer I get a weird error message.

This all started when one day I plugged in my iPhone 4 to my iTunes 10.4 on my PC (win7 64bit) and I got nothing. I got the connection noise and my phone started charging but it would not show up in iTunes. In My Computer, it sees that I have an iPhone plugged in but shows it as a Camera, not a phone, and I am not able to see anything inside said "camera". At this point I decided to clear everything "Apple" off of my computer and manually install iTunes 10.5. Mid download i came across this error message that I have no clue what it is telling me. After clicking "OK" it then tells me "rolling back session" and then tells me that "Apple Mobile Device failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services." Since getting this messag I suspected that it was an AMD (apple mobile device) issue. AMD seems to be IMPOSSIBLE to uninstall/delete from my computer... At this point I'm giving up and looking for advice/help on this issue.
Im lead to believe that it is an AMD issue because iTunes 10.4 reads my iPod Shuffle perfectly but wont read my iPhone 4 or a friends iPhone 3g.

The iphone is not a storage/backup device. The sync is one way - computer to iphone. The exception is itunes purchases: File>Transfer Purchases
Copy everything from your other library/computer, or your backup copy, to your new library/computer

Installing and then uninstalling iTunes has slowed Win7 PC

I installed iTunes on my newish Win7 PC but had a problem with the PC being 'not authorized'. Despite many many hours of reading Apple help and Googling I could not resolve the issue. Decided to give up on iTunes and stay with Windows Media Player. Uninstalled iTunes and now my PC is running slower than before the iTunes install/uninstall.
Apple, I am not happy that your software has messed up my PC.

I suppose I should have prefaced my question with the concern that I've read a number of other posts from people who have had a similar issue and when they tried to follow the directions, they ran into a multitude of other problems. my PC cfg:
i got itunes install package named iTunes64Setup,clicked it on my win7(ultimate)OS x86_64,try to install it on my disk F and after a while i got a prompt as following described:
so i clicked the butten,and the install dialog rolled back and stuck there,i can't help to use Task Manager to drop it.
I installed again under x86 filepackage on disk C and quickly it show me a new prompt that means to tell me installing failed and my sys param not changed.
So,i typed the above words and tryed a third time,and that erro prompt occurred:
Then,i clicked again and that showed me,i choose the button "重试",
for a minute that showed me ,clicked it,
At the last,,so i finished it.
What happend?How can i install itunes correctly?With your helping,i'll be appreciate.

The following article outlines troubleshooting issues when attempting to install iTunes. In your circumstance, it may be as simple as choosing "Save As..." (and ultimately choose a location) instead of "Run".

Have you completed all windows update including service Pack1? If not, please complete all the windows update then follow steps below to re-install all over.
1. Go to Microsoft website to fix install and Unistall problems. Click "Run now" from Fix it to remove all iTunes & related installer files:

Be aware that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility will not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall over.
2. You should remove all instances of iTunes and the rest of the components listed below:
it may be necessary to remove all traces of iTunes, QuickTime, and related software components from your computer before reinstalling iTunes.
Use the Control Panel to uninstall iTunes and related software components in the following order:
iTunes
QuickTime
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Follow the instructions from Apple article listed here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923 to remove all components
3. Reboot your computer. Next, download iTunes from here:http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and install from scratch

Perhaps let's first try updating your Apple Software Update.
Launch Apple Software Update ("Start > All Programs > Apple Software Update"). Does it launch and offer you a newer version of Apple Software Update? If so, choose to install just that update to Apple Software Update. (Deselect any other software offered at the same time.)
If the ASU update goes through okay, try another iTunes install. Does it go through without the errors this time?

Go to iTunes.com/download and simply download then install the current version.

Having problem installing iTunes on Win7 x64

I tried installing iTunes 10.6.1 for Windows 7 (64-bit) from apple website but few seconds after the installation begins, an error comes up that says: "There is a problem with this Windows installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor." When I press OK it stops the installation. Is there anyway to fix this problem?

Repair your Apple software update.
Go to START/ALL PROGRAMS/Apple Software Update. If it offers you a newer version of Apple Software Update, do it but Deselect any other software offered at the same time. Once done, try another iTunes install
If you don't find ASU, go to Control Panel:
START > CONTROL PANEL >
Add n Remove Programs(XP)
Programs n Features(Win7/Vista)
highlight ASU and click CHANGE then REPAIR

Well... after several hours, I have now downloaded iTunes 10.5.2 for Windows (64 bit)... but now I can't connect my iPod to my PC.
