Installing Key in running Dev setup

I have been testing a project with no license key(Dev) and last week I purchased a Flash Streaming license but I go into the fms.ini and insert the key and restart FMS but my streams no longer work and the only error I seem to be getting is:
Found Connection Penalty (RTMFP) on core launch, penalty active since time 1294334608.351221
I remove the key and restart the service and everything works fine.
I even tried reinstalling FMS and provide it the key when it asked in the installer but same issue. Is this error related to an issue with the licensing key? There is no error when I remove the key but can't get support through contacting Adobe by phone. I asked what is the proper way to install the key and they said they would open a ticket and contact me back but its been 2 days not including the weekend, I thought it would be a very simple question for the FMS dept that I was speaking with.
The error only shows up once when the service starts.
CentOS 5.5
FMS 4.0
Streaming License Version

Hi Christopher,
I got your mail and i tried out your case. With your serial key and with default set up , i don't see any issue. But like you tried if i move "live" application file to "soundboard" application - i see i get the same error as you mentioned. But i can still connect and stream - i mean i tried it for couple of times - i could connect to new "soundboard" application and play live stream from it.
Now coming to why you should get error, if you read "readme.txt" again it clearly says the steps are meant only for Development and Interactive Edition - they are not meant for Streaming Edition.
Also if its not affecting your functionality and it just annoying log message - then probably you can ignore the message.

  • I am trying to reinstall Windows on my macbook pro.  I downloaded the support files and Windows 7 iso file to a USB drive.  However, when I try to run the setup.exe program I get the message "this program cannot be run in DOS mode."

I am trying to reinstall Windows (would not launch).  I removed the partition and started over.  I downloaded the support files and Windows 7 iso file to a USB drive.  However, when I try to run the setup.exe program I get the message "this program cannot be run in DOS mode."  I was successful before, what am I doing wrong this time?

    Try a restart.
If that doesn't fix the problem, shut down the computer and then power it back up. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application unistaller. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don't do them all at once.

  • Installing FMS 4.0 Dev version on windows vista

    Hi,
I've just installed FMS 4 on dev version windows vista to start developing locally against this server.
However after running the install I cannot connect. All attempts to connect result in "NetConnection.Connect.Failed".
This incluldes the samples on the start page, the admin console and my own attempts to connect.
I've attempted to connect with localhost, 127.0.0.1 and my computer name. None of these work.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling too.
Can anyone suggest why this might be the case?
    Best
    Matt

Further to this I have noticed that even though I have run the start up exe file (and selected to start FMS after installed too)  FMSCore.exe or FMSEdge.exe etc are not running as a process.
I then tried restarting my machine at which point internet access went completely, though I still had local network access. So I then uninstall FMS after the uninstall process completed my internet access came back up again.
    Hope this helps the diagnosis
    Any help is greatfully recieved

  • Install does not run on XP

    Hello,
I just downloaded Oracle Database release 2 and I am having a very basic problem :) I can't launch the setup.exe in Disk1 - it fails as soon as I launch it?
I am running on Windows XP. I have tried this on 2 machines with similar configurations. The only thing I can think of (based on what I have seen in other posts) is that I have a Java version installed that interferes with the setup? I have JRE 1.4 installed?
    Thanks for any help.
    Mark

go to the disk1 folder you extracted it to and go to the win32 foler. Use this setup instead. I.E. K:\oracle dsk1\install\win32\setup.exe

  • I have tried to upgrade Painter 11 on my iMac running OS X 10.5.8. I keep getting the error message :- : The following install step failed : run pre install script for Corel Painter11 _ SP1 . Contact the software manufacturer for assistance   " Help pleas

I have tried to upgrade Painter 11 on my iMac running OS x 10.5.8 but get the error message : The following install step failed : run pre install script for Corel Painter11_SP1. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance "
I have contacted Corel and after several emails and one telephone call, they tell me , they cannot help but they think the problem could be with the OS.
Does anyone have any suggestions, please ?

Could be many things, we should start with this...
    "Try Disk Utility
    1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
    2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
    3. Click the First Aid tab.
    4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
    5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106214
Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.

  • Delete very slow in the DEV setup

    Hi All
I am running a following query in the 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.2.0 (Development setup) which deletes the Approx 91 lakh records from the Master table and re-insert the modified data in to same table it takes around 40 Hrs to complete. The table is analyzed and indexes are rebuild just before the query runs. i do have a another set up(UAT) with the same configuration as that of DEV setup in which same task get executed in 1.5 Hrs(MAX). The DB parameters are also same. Also UNDOTBS and TEMP tabelspaces are of same size. i have done the OS level analysis also but found nothing wrong.I don't uderstand why this happening. i am mentioning the Query and explain plan for your reference .
    **Query**: DELETE FROM FCT_NON_SEC_EXPOSURES WHERE FIC_MIS_DATE = TO_DATE(20090331,'yyyymmdd') AND V_RUN_TYPE = 'B' AND N_RUN_SKEY = 6 ;
    Explain Plan:
Operation     Object Name     Rows     Bytes Cost
    DELETE STATEMENT Optimizer Mode=ALL_ROWS          9 M     240694
    DELETE     FCT_NON_SEC_EXPOSURES
    TABLE ACCESS FULL     FCT_NON_SEC_EXPOSURES          9 M 3G     240694
Plan is same on both setups.
    Hardware COnfig of both servers
16 GB Ram,2 Dual core CPU AIX OS
Pls suggest things i can look to improve the perforamance.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi
You can also check for missing referential indexes of that table with the below query.
creating the missing referential indexes will also increase the performance.

  • NetInstall 10.5.7 installing to /var/run/DoNotInstall

Hello, has anyone tried creating a 10.5.7 slipstreamed NetInstall? I've found that while 10.5.6 deploys fine, 10.5.7 doesn't. The logs show many files trying to install to /var/run/DoNotInstall. Consequently, the installation fails due to "no space left on device". I have tried the following combinations with a retail Leopard DVD image:
    10.5 base + 10.5.6 Combo Update (succeeds)
    10.5 base + 10.5.7 Combo Update (fails)
    10.5 base + 10.5.6 Combo Update + 10.5.7 Update (fails)
The SHA1 hash of the 10.5.7 Combo update is correct, and I have logs from both failed installs if anyone would like to see them.
    Thanks in advance,
    X

@xorlogic and @iSauce: I, too, would like to know what you have found.
I have tried posting my findings and logs to the "OS X Server", "Installers" and "Imaging" Apple lists with no useful information.
I have tried using 10.0, 10.4, and 10.6 as the bases. I can use any update up to and including 10.5.6 without a problem, but I seemingly run out of space with 10.5.7 around "Activity Monitor" or "Address Book" depending on variables I have not yet determined.
A thought I had but don't have the skills to test is this: Can we use a payload-less package that uses a pre-flight script to link this mysterious "/var/run/DoNotInstall" to "/dev/null" instead?
In the next day or two, I hope to attempt starting with a 10.5.0 base and adding each of the delta updates one at a time up to 10.5.7 and seeing what that does.
I have this thread's RSS in my bookmarks bar which is how I found @iSauce's reply so quickly. I will be watching with bated breath for that happy little '(1)' to appear.

  • SQL Server 2012 stops running after setup files are copied.

SQL Server 2012 setup stops running after setup files are copied.
I've experiencing the same issue on two different machines. Both are 64 bit running Server 2008.
On both of them I tried installing using the files from the ISO. I initially used winzip to extract the files. The setup was running fine, but the SQL Server engine had an error when it installed. Then using the Add/Remove programs i uninstalled all of the
SQL Server 2012 applications, including the setup files.
Now when i try to install using the "New SQL Server stand-alone..." wizard it will copy the setup files and then the wizard never comes back. I've tried mounting the ISO, extracting with winrar, Burning the ISO to a dvd and downloading the 3 files. I also
tried mounting ISO of the version that was just recently released. I run into the same issue with all of them.
    Thanks for the help.

    can you try
     setup.exe
    /Action=install /x86 /UpdateEnabled=false
If this doesn't work please use below FAQ to locate and upload SQL Server setup logss.

  • When i am running the setup its is coming- We've encontered the following issues, Installer Failed to Initialize

    HI,
I downloaded Adobe Flash Professional CC and When i am running the setup its is coming:-
    We've encountered the following issues
    Installer Failed to Initialize.
What do I do now? Please help as soon as possible. Thanks in advance!
    Regards,
    Bhavesh

start at the top and work your way down applying applicable fixes until your problem is resolved.
    if cc (win):  https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-desktop-application-failed.html
    if, your error is:
"Installer failed to initialize. File not found." or "Installer failed to initialize. This could be due to missing files."
first, rename OOBE Folder to OOBE.old.
    to find OOBE:
64 bit win OS: Program Files x86\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE
32 bit win OS: Program Files \Common Files\Adobe\OOBE
    mac os: HD>library>application support>adobe>caps
    mac os: USER>library>application support>adobe>OOB
if that fails or isn't the exact error you see, uninstall, clean (http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html) and reinstall.
if you're using a dvd to install:
copy the disc contents to a desktop directory and install from that directory.
    if you're using a mac:
    1. Try to Create a new user account in Mac with Administrator Priviledges.
    2. Login to the New user, Navigate to Mac HD> Application> Utilities> Adobe Installer folder, Locate products like Adobe Reader, Adobe Flash, Adobe Air and un-install them
    3. Navigate to User Library> Application Support> Adobe and move Adobe to Trash.
    4. Navigate to Mac HD> Library> Application Support> Adobe and move Adobe to Trash.
    5. Start the installation again.
if everything applicable above fails, check your installation logs:

  • Installing Bootcamp and running Windows properly

Title explain itself, just got my Mac a few days ago and it is running smooth as ****. I transferred all my old desktop's music, some movies, and installed key softwares/freewares. I also updated anything that needed to be updated (safari, itunes, firefox, quicktime, etc...)
So now the only thing I am missing is Windows. I do play counter-strike 1.6 often and as good Mac is, it is still missing Steam/Valve. I have downloaded Bootcamp 2.1 yesterday and I am planning to borrow a Windows XP disc in a few days. My question is; I need a step-by-step procedure on how to install the Windows XP disc and Bootcamp to ensure that my Mac will run smoothly and bug free.
*Any suggestions and step-by-step procedure will be gladly appreciated!!!*

Finder->Help->MacHelp->Index->B->Boot Camp should have everything you need.

  • Installed jre and jdk and setup environment  variable

installed jre and jdk and setup environment variable but still i am not able to rum program?
    cannot find symbol class string
    package system does not exist

if removing 1 jre will help your disk space problems
then you urgently need a bigger disk.
Btw i never notice Java installing 2 different JRE's
so i dont think it will harm remvong one, make sure
you dont delete one you are using :)I assume that you don't run MS os; that's the only one that installs 2 JRE's.
To OP: This has been discussed by Sun, but no changes have been announced. Maybe the relocation in version 1.5 of the private (aka developer) code to the Program Folder is a start of this change?

  • Error Messages when trying to install, uninstall or run iTunes 9

I get the following error message when trying to Install iTunes:
The path C:\DOCUME~1\Frank\LOCALS~1\Temp\IXP206.TMP\iTunes.msi cannot be found. Verify that you have access to this location and try again, or try to find the installation package 'iTunes.msi' in a folder from which you can install the product iTunes.
I search my entire computer for the file but it's not there.
Then, when I try to uninstall the iTunes and start the install from scratch I get another error:
"The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable"
Catch-22, I can't install or uninstall and when I try to run iTunes I get:
"The action is only valid for products that are installed"
Very frustrating but I'm stumped and I don't know how to proceed. Any help would be very much appreciated.

wooooooooo!!! got it working again!! having spent the last 6 hours..no joke six f*cking hours trying to sort it ive finally got iTunes back!!
ok here is what you need to do:
go to the link below and download the Microsoft Windows Installer CleanUp Facility.
    http://www.locksleynet.com/2009/06/09/missing-itunesmsi-problem-resolved/
once you have downloaded it, install it and run it from the start menu. once its up and running remove everything to do with iTunes (so iTunes itself, quicktime, bonjour......the lot). Dont worry about removing iTunes completely, all the music is still there when it works again trust me!!
ok once you have removed everything restart your computer, im not sure if this is a must but i did it.
next download quicktime from the apple website (go to the 'downloads' tab near the top. download and install quicktime and restart your computer so the new settings are put in to place ( i think it asks you to restart anyway).
go back to the apple website, 'downloads' tab and download iTunes itself. install that bad boy and you will be up and running with all your library intact!
Hope it works for you mate!

  • I have installed Smile Box and can't get it to install, I am running a Mac Powerbook G4 10.5.8 1.33 GHz help?

I am running a Mac Powerbook G4 OSX 10.5.8 1.33 GHz  and can't get Smiebox to install, it downloads the program just fine but will not let me install it, can someone tell me why?

    Hi SusieQ,
Seems they have no idea what they're doing over there, to wit...
    Mac Snow Leopard and above*
In general, we recommend a multi-core processor and at least 2 GB RAM.
Connection to the Internet is required; Smilebox is optimized for a high-speed broadband connection, and that faster connection will give you the best performance.
Smilebox uses your Internet browser and Flash11 (or higher) to run. We automatically detect whether Flash is installed and will help you install the free download if need be. You will also need javascript enabled. Your internet browser and any security software (firewall, antivirus) you have on your computer may need to be configured to "allow" Smilebox internet access. Please refer our article on - I have security software (firewall or anti-virus software) that I suspect is blocking Smilebox.  What can I do to fix that?
If your computer shipped with Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8 you can install run Smilebox; we do require that Windows XP computers have Service Pack 3 installed.
To run Smilebox on your Mac, your Macintosh should have an Intel or Power PC processor on a G5 or higher (if your Mac was made in the past 3 years, it should meet this requirement), 2GB or more RAM.
*Smilebox will not run on earlier versions of the Mac OS X including Leopard (10.5).
Snow Leopard is 10.6.x, no G3/G4/G5 PPC Mac can run 10.6 or above.
So this line is wrong, or two other lines about Snow Leopard are wrong....
To run Smilebox on your Mac, your Macintosh should have an Intel or Power PC processor on a G5 or higher
