Installing Leapord ask for a password??

Im installing Leapord on an iMac G5. at a pint during install it askes for a password and the original password on the mac does not work.

here is more info. The password was the password to sign onto the computer. After Leapord installed the p/w box came up but would not take the original computer password. I rebooted to the CD went to the change passsword utility and put in a new p/w. rebooted and the new p/w didnt work. So I went back to the utility to start over and this time there was no user name to pick and everything was greyed out. I called Apple tech for help and they wont help me since the computer is over a year old...even though I just spent $100 on the Leapord CD.
any suggestions?

Yes, sometimes the problem can happen before the window is able to show up.
As for the administrator password I'll double check if that's normal or also a symptom, but helping you with the password is not our area of expertise, you'd need to get support from Microsoft. Do you know if your account is admin or limited? You can try putting your credentials in.

I just went through this same process.... I changed my credit card, double checked billing info, changed my password, I restored my phone, but the misake I made was I kept restoring it from my back up.... Finally I went to Apple Store.. and sad to say that you have to do a restore, and DO NOT restore from back up.
I used Gmail so I didnt loose contacts or email.. but I did loose all my text messages and history of that.
So, I had the EXACT same problem and it was a software issue.. you have to restore your phone to factory settings and start all over.. BLOWS I know!

Did you create a NEW Apple ID or did you change the email address for your OLD Apple ID? This will affect how you update apps in the future.
Anyway, go to Settings/iTunes&App Stores, log out, then log in with the new ID.

You selected Encrypt iPhone Backups in iTunes. Then you entered a password.
It would be that specific password it is asking for.

You have to provide your computer's administrator password in order to install Flash Player.

Try deleting that app, then see if you have the same issue.

The password your Mac is prompting you for is your administrator password for the computer. If none of the attempts to enter it in worked, including leaving it blank, you can reset the password by following the directions in the link below.

Not having a password means that any casual passer-by can have access to all your personal data, or deleting it.
