Last year I bought Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4 for my pc. I love the program, and really want to continue with it, but I bought a new computer. Is it possible to install it on my new computer

Yes, as long as your machine is capable of running the program. Your license provides for having two activated installations, so you can have it on both machines. If you need to download it you can find a DOWNLOAD LINK THRU:

Re-installing lightroom onto a new computer

I've just got a new imac and I already have Lightrrom 4 on my old one. I'm sure to most this is a VERY simple question so sorry in adance but believe it or not I cannot find the answer in any forums. How do I reinstall Lightroom onto a new computer?
Can I do this somehow using the serial number? I'm sure the licence allows use on 2 machines so I dont think I have to purchase again.
When I go into order history on my adobe account page, I thought I might be able to download it from there again... but cant see this option.
PLease could any replies be in simple speak and not too technical.

I can not use my serial numer to install Lightroom on my new computer?

I bought Lightroom 5 not even a year ago, and I have an official serial number, that is also confirmed with my profile. Still, when I got my new computer today and try to install Lightroom, it won't let me use the serial number. Why???? I don't even have the old computer anymore, and my Lightroom backup is on my ext hard drive.

My old computer recently crashed and I just got a new one (MacBook Pro). I had Lightroom 3 on that computer and I need to get it back onto my new computer. I have the original disc, but my new computer doesn't have a disc drive! How can I do this?? I also have the same issue with Photoshop CS4, but I don't have the disc for that. Please tell me this is a possibility without having to re-purchase everything!?

This isn't an "I told you so" but since I just learned how well it works, I'll pass this on to you.
START using Time Machine to back up...it's the greatest way to move all your old apps to a new / restored hard drive without all the cruft from the old one which probably caused the crash. If you ever crash again, reinstall the OS and then restore from Time Machine which will bring in all your apps and preferences and you will be right as rain in no time.

your serial number is good for the mac and pc versions. but don't transer anything. install lightroom onto your imac.

I will soon be selling my old iMac computer and purchasing a new iMac. Will there be a problem with reinstaling the Lightroom software on the new computer? Is there a limit to the number of computers that one license can use for installation?

Lightroom allows the user to run two copies of Lightroom on 2 machines (Mac or PC). There is no authorisation procedure, just enter your serial number. Make sure you have a copy of the number before you wipe the old computer.

Is Lightroom 4 still installed on the old computer? If it is then you can get the serial number from there. If it isn't, and you registered your copies of Lightroom with Adobe then you can log into your account and get the serial number from there.

You probably have the trial of the Creative Cloud version installed (this version cannot be activated with the perpetual license key). Uninstall the one presently on your computer this will not affect your existing catalog, preferences and other personal files. Then download LR 5.6 from the link below, install and insert your serial number and it should work fine.
