Installing MDM 7.1 - "AKK 710 SAP INSTANCE FRAMEWORK" missing

Hi,
I am trying to install MDM7.1 while installing I am being asked for a kernal file "AKK 710 SAP INSTANCE FRAMEWORK". I searched for this file on SMP and could not find this file. I am being asked for the same file while I installing MDM for SRM too. Can some body help me how to fix or we to get this file from? Please provide me link for the file.
Thanks

Hi,
that looks like a bug. I had a similar problem with installing the layout server. The problem persisted still in 7.1 SP01. I would suggest to open an OSS message.
Best regards
Christian

  • IPC 4.0 - installing on a server with no SAP instance

    Hello all,
as part of a hardware migration, I want to re-install IPC 4.0.
Currently IPC resides on the same server as our SRM4.0 system.
In the new setup IPC will reside on its own server with no other SAP installations (and therefore no SAP gateway).
I am trying to test this scenario by connecting to our current test system, but the RFC connections to IPC from SM59 don't work.
Does anyone know a way of making this work?
I presume I could install a standalone SAP gateway on the same server as IPC, but I would like to know if there are other options?
I've tried adjusting the dispatcher.properties file, but SM59 connection still doesn't work, so either I haven't created the right entries or I am on the wrong track.

    Hi all,
Here are the settings from my dispatcher.properties file:

  • SAP:AKK:710:UKERNEL:*:WINDOWS_X86_64

    Hi.
i want to install SAP NetWeaver Application Server....
i get following message: " ....   but need the label SAP:AKK:710:UKERNEL::WINDOWS_X86_64:"
how can i get that label?

    Marcus,
The label.asc file on each CD/DVD will tell you that information.
Also, you should check the media guide for the installation DVD(s) needed for any component selected.

    Hope this helps.

  • How to script the discovery of installed SAP instances (Windows)?

    Hi,
I manage like two dozen of servers, some of which are pure sandboxes for Basis Persons. I sometime come over and discover a Java add-on to an existing ABAP instance, a new instance running...
I have followed the many threads about scripting shutdown & startup of known instances and it's quite easy to do. I initially made some scripts on each server to address the installed instances, but as they change, it pretty much forces me to go back and adjust.
There must be a simpler way!
So I want to discover all the running SAP instances (SID) on a given server, then the system numbers attached to any existing SID. Once I can query this on a server, I will be able to stop all SAP instances properly.
So how do you script the discovery of installed SAP instances (SID) and their respective components (instance 0, 1, ...)?
For the record, I use Windows shutdown scripts to systematically run a script that stops SAP instances, so my Windows Admin friends can reboot the servers without concern. I use a conditional Windows startup script to start all SAP instances when Windows starts, only if we want it to (i.e. planned maintenance is a good idea to want SAP to start automatically, all other reboot is definitly not a good idea).

Install something like Belarc Advisor and parse the resulting HTML

  • NW IdM Install on MS 2003 server with an existing  SAP instance

    All:
I have never worked with SQL server before and need help.
    My Scenario:
I have an EP installed with SQL 2005 on Windows 2003.
I would like to install a NW IdM on the same server.
Coming from a unix/oracle environment, if I need two SAP systems on a single host, I would install two oracle instances and database and each SAP instance would point to its own home and database.
How does it work with SQL server. Will I have to install a new instance of the SQL server software and database and if so where would it be? Right now I see that the EP SAP instance, datafile, Tempdb and Logfile resides on the E:\ drive and I also see a C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server. How does a "named instance" fit in my scenario?
    Could someone help me understand?
    Thanks
    S.

    Hi Markus
And thanks to your answer, it helped me to succeed in this first step but unfortunately 1 minute later during the install process I have a new error telling me :

Could you help me to solve this error . Thank you in advance.

  • Configure VMServer and Migrate the SAP instances

    Hi All,
We have already 5 instance installed on Windows 2008 SP2 Server (4 Processors & 64 GB RAM) and MS SQL Server 2008.
We are planning to configure VMWareand migrate all our instance to migrate to each V Machines
Please give some details, how to migrate all our instance into Virtual servers. I have gone through some of the documents, but i am not clear how to start.
    Regards
    Ponnusamy

    Hi All,
We are planning for Hyper-V based virtualization, which is inbuilt feature of Windows 2008 R2 Server.
Here is my server Configurations and sap instances on that server
    HDD u2013 6TB
    RAM - 64 GB
    OS u2013 Win 2K8 R2
    DB u2013 SQL Server 2K8 R2
    SAP SRM 7.0
    SAP MDM 7.1
    SAP NW EP 7.01
    SAP ECC IDES 6.04
    SAP CE 7.2
    SAP PI7.1 EHP1
    Here are my doubts
    1. When we enable the Hyper-V role and configure VM, Is there any change happens in Network or LAN settings
    2. We plan to Homogeneous system copy to move SAP instance to VM
    2. will it possible to run sap applications on Host machine and VM parallely.
    3. What points I have to consider before starting Configure VM

  • SAP instance dies when I try to make a change to the role and save

    Hello Friends
I am an ABAP and XI guy, but am working on Enterprise Portal.
I have created an IVIEW (URL) and am trying to associate it with a user and role.  I have created user and then when I try to assign role by clicking on AssignROles and then select a role and try to save, it consistently kills the SAP instance (dm36939 0) and this instance turns to yellow (instead of staying green). I have to restart this again. I have installed ECC and EP on this server and ECC (ABAP programs tables etc.,) works without any problem. EP also works most of the time, but consistently fails at this point as explained above.
I am not sure if there is any specific settings I should be looking at. Any feedback will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Ram

  • Batch file creation for Sap Instance

    Hi Experts,
We have migrated  some of our Sap Instances from Hyper-v to new Servers... Our Hyper-v System  contains six Instances with 00 Instance numbers. At the time we moved it to the newly installed server the Instance numbers got changed. As we have lot of users present in our system we dont want them to intimate about the changing of instance numbers.
So could anyone help me how to process further inorder that the newly installed server should work as a hyper v system with that instance numbers. We are thinking to create a batch file, so help me what commands we have to add in that batch file. And also tell me how that batch file runs.
Note : Db - Ms Sql
    Thanks in Advance,
    Krishna.M

You cannot have multiple systems on a server with the same system number.
System number is present in the profile, instance directory and also entries in the services file.
If you want to change the system number then you need to modify all these with the new system number.
If the users are connecting to the SAP system with the IP and system number then you need to inform them about the change in the system number and IP

  • Install MDM JAVA API

    Hi,
I am using SAP MDM 5.5 SP05. Can someone guide me on how to install MDM Java API.
I referred to many threads on SDN but couldn't get through any.
I have already downloaded the java API which has one .sca file and two folders, each has some .jar files and javadoc folder.
Kindly help on how should i go with it.
    Regards,
    Chintan Sheth

    Hi Chintan,
You wont install MDM Java API as u install your MDM server or client.
<b>What the use of the MDM Java API?</b>
    1. Stand-alone Java Applications.
U can use MDM java API for your stand-alone applications that runs locally on your PC etc... For this you can import the MDM Java jar file into to the library of yourstand alone java application project.
    2. J2EE Application or custom MDM iview in EP or SAP Webdynpro Apllication.
U can deploy the .sca file in the SAP WAS Java using the SDM client and u can extend the MDM Java API in your J2EE Application or custom MDM iview in EP or SAP Webdynpro Apllication

  • How to make SAP Instance on Windows without SAPinst (manually)

    Dear colleagues!
On unix platform It's usually more convenient for me to make an additional sap instance by manually copying of sapmnt, usr and a couple of others folders, making links, editing /etc/services. It's faster than running SAPINST (for me).
So the question is - how and what should I perform for making an instance, central instance as well on WINDOWS platform.
    with best regards,
    Vladimir

    Hi,
It is not recommended way to install SAP System without following Standard Installation Method. Please read concerned Official SAP Installation Guide and follow the standard procedure without inviting more complexities and headache.

    Hi Nilesh/Kaushal
Thanks for your support, I really appriciate it.
I had install the QAS instance successfully on one sever.
Now both QAS & DEV instances are up & running.

After executing this transactions I received followng dumps.

  • SAP instance getting stop after some time....

    Hi,
Installed SAP on Cluster .SAP runs fine before and after switchover cluster when we do manually.
Problems comes after scripting ,While starting SAP Instance with SCript its work fine but after some time instance get fail.
    And error comes
    15:09:55
    /usr/sap/SID/SCS01/exe/sapcontrol -prot NI_HTTP -nr 01 -function Stop
    05.03.2014 15:09:55

    OK
    15:09:57
    Instance on host insapr3pi01 stopped
    15:09:57
    Waiting for cleanup of resources
And it stop instance after some time.We are using Veritas (VCS cluster). Its continously search for cleanup of resources!!!!!!!
    Regards
    Adil

Sap instance start by that script but after sometime it give message in cluster software that Waiting for Cleaning of Resources. And after sometime it shutdown that instance.
    Hi Adil,
When an external application (in this case SAP NetWeaver) is clustered with VCS, there are options to execute scripts at various operation cycles of the VCS agent for the application in question.  I would recommend reviewing the application group configuration, corresponding VCS logs, as well as the path to the scripts and their content.
I can assist from VCS perspective if the question still stands.
    Regards,
    Villi

  • Two SAP Instances in High Availability cluster - SGeSAP - HPUX

    Dear All
We want to install 2 SAP instances in single host with DB and CI separately. DB and CI will be on High Availabilty Cluster using SGeSAP for HP - Unix. The database is Oracle 10g.
Does SAP support multiple instance on the same hosts(DB and CI) for HA option.
    Kindly inform
    Regards
    Lakshmi

Yes it is possible to run two SAP systems on same cluster using SGeSAP.  Normally If there is only one system on the cluster DB is configured on one node and CI is configured on the second node, with fail over in case of a node failure.  In your case if a node fails one node will be running two DB and two CI instances.  You have to size the hardware accordingly.  Just FYI, SGeSAP is licensed per SAP System.
