Installing Muse from Creative Cloud

I can not update or install Muse because it is giving me a installation failed message. It says I have a previous beta version that needs to be uninstalled. I have never had Muse on this computer before creative cloud. I might of had a trial version. Has anyone else had this issue?

    Hi la dama cooks,
I believe you are getting the blank Creative cloud applications.

  • Can't Install Photoshop from Creative Cloud

I'm trying to install Photoshop on to my imac 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo running Mountain Lion (10.8.4) from Creative Cloud but get a message 'You are running an operating system that Photoshop no longer supports. Refer to the system requirements below for a full list of supported platforms.' Anyone help?

It usually means what it says: Your processor is not supported by CC most likely. You know, under-the-hood stuff like SSE and otehr processor acceleration architectures being missing/ too old... Those old Core2Duo Macs just fit that pattern...

Before you remove anything you should sign out of the Creative Cloud so that it is reset for you when you reinstall and sign in again.

  • Installing Muse from the cloud app manager

I have the full latest version of Muse installed on my computer, but the adome app manager still has an install button next to that particular app. Should I install Muse again from within this app?have the full version of Muse not the Beta already installed. I don't want to lose any sites I am working on.

All the sites/projects that you work on are saved as .muse files. Just keep them safe and you will be able to open them again after a fresh install.
Did you install your Muse 1.0 using the Adobe Application Manager while logged into AAM with your Adobe ID?

  • Can I install CS6 from Creative cloud and still have my existing CS5 software?

Basically, here is the deal.  I have been working on a couple projects in CS5 but just bought CS6 creative cloud as I want to start using it.  The question I have is, can I still use CS5 to finish up these projects and install CS6 at the same time so I can start working on new ones in CS6?  Or do I need to wait and install CS6 once I am completely done with the projects that are using CS5.  I understand that CS6 would be able to open my CS5 projects, but I just want to finish in CS5 since that is what I am used to.
Also, on a side note.  With the cloud, will I be able to install CS6 on my desktop at home and my laptop?  Thanks.

    Yes.
CS6 installs into a separate directory to CS5 and can still be used at any time after CS6 is installed.

Yes, each Adobe license permits a maximum of two activations. So you can install on two separate computers.

"Are there any unique benefits that come with my paid membership?
Yes, as a member of Creative Cloud, you get many benefits that you do not get when you purchase a traditional shrinkwrapped product:
Access to both the Mac OS and Windows® versions of the desktop applications and the ability to install them on your primary computer and one backup computer. So, if you have a Mac at home and a PC at work, you can install your applications on both as long as they are not running at the same time. See the product license agreements page for more information."

I will probably call them again, I just hate the idea of being on the phone for 2 1/2 hours with them again doing the same things they or I have already done.
Einstein says doing the same thing and expecting different results is insanity. So, to keep sane, when you connect with tech support:
You're right - it's pointless and painful to repeat failed approaches. The value of such failures is to reduce the number of bad approaches, and increase the probability of getting to the ones that work. Also the value of the failures, if they're documented in the case notes, of course, is to inform the tech-support team members of what's been done. That's a no-brainer.
    * ask the technician to review the notes on your case..."that's OK, I'll wait until you've seen what's been done already." If you get resistance immediately, INSIST/DEMAND the tech to ESCALATE the call to the tech's supervisor or manager. If the manager tries to evade dealing with you, DEMAND to speak to that manager's manager. Get everybody's full name.
    * If the tech is cooperative and reads your case notes, then say, "I don't want to waste your time or mine. If you are not completely familiar with how to fix this problem, please ESCALATE this call to the highest-skilled technician who is skilled and familiar with fixing this problem. I'm not disrespecting you, I'm trying to make best use of your time and mine. I'm sure you have great expertise in other areas, but I need great professional expertise in this area. I'm sure you'd want the same if you were the customer." If the tech stalls, DEMAND the supervisor or manager.
    * When you're connected to the next higher-level person, repeat he request that they read the case notes first, then ask them to ESCALATE the case to the highest-level experienced person.

I too am getting this same error when I attempt to install Adobe Edge Animate from the Creative Cloud. I am running Mac OS X (10.8.2) and all of my software is current and up-to-date. I have followed the instructions provided in the error above which says to uninstall the previous Edge Preview and restart the machine. Edge has been removed from my machine (and I can find no traces of it) and I have restarted and I am still receiving this error.
