Installing music on 5300

I'm considering buying a 5300 but not being very technological I don't know if you can import tunes onto it from 'itunes'?
If not possible any tips (in simple techno idiot speak)?!

Yes probably.You can store AAC files from i tunes.It also syncs perfectly in windows media player.
About the 5300,i do own one,so far,no problems with this phone.: )BUY THIS PHONE!

I have tried to remove unwanted pre-installed music on my phone with no success. All i get is file is corupted after trying. Any help on this would great. Rob

Hi, how did you try to remove it, and where is it stored ? You can normally delete by hi-lighting the track and using options - delete, or going into fole manager in office find the track and delete from the phone. Using your computer(attached in 'mass memory' mode) you can open phone as an external device and delete track from C,E, or F. And if the tracks are on a memory card or internal E you can format it, but this would remove all data.

Locate it- Scroll through the home screens !
Hold your finger on it till the icons start jiggling now move it to the left of the screen and hold it there.
In the back ground the homescreens scroll back towards your first screen.
When you reach the first home screen position icon where you want (If you have sixteen -the last one will move to the second home screen)
Whilst they are jiggling choose which ones you want on the first home screen.
You can also add access to more by creating folders containing similar types of apps by dropping one app icon on another icon as well.
When finished organizing press the home button to fix the setting.
Similarly you can add or remove app icon short cuts from the dock to suit your preference.
When you move them off the dock they are added to your home screens. (think of the home screens as an analogous to the desktop of your PC

Ipod won't install music

I have had my iPod for almost a year and now i cannot install music into my iPod. It will only transfer about 60% and then stop. I've tried dragging the files into the main music section of iTunes and it won't work. Also when i restored my iPod it didn't help at all. Please let me know if anyone knows how to fix this issue. There was an issue with my iTunes so I rebooted my computer and now it works.

Use Fusion, or Parallels. They are better for running Winblows, and you don't have to reboot in to it, you simply run Win 7 as an app. I have tried Boot Camp, a few times since it first came available, and it has always been cumbersome, and problematic, to use, and allows typical Winblows issues to happen. Running Win 7 virtual seems to not have those same issues.
Until I retire, soon, I still have to use Windows, along with Macs, Linux, and UNIX, but after that, it all goes, except for the Macs - no more headaches.
Give Fusion, or Parallels a try, they are cheap, and work really well.

How do I re-install music to iPhone 4 with iOS 7? Music is in iTunes, but library will not sync.

I removed my music to install iOS 7. Now, I can't re-install my music to my iPhone 4. Only purchased music syncs, not my entire library of songs. All my songs are listed in iTunes, but it won't sync. Also I see some exclamation points stasting it can't locate songs, but they are listed in the iTunes library.

After Archive and Install, music and photos lost

Hello, I installed Leopard yesterday on my Imac desktop and it went fine, but then somehow it locked me out of the hard drive, and then...the blue screen. I put the orginal Tiger disk back in and re-installed the previous software, opting for 'archive and install'. It worked but my question is this;
Within the previous system folder, my music and photos are still missing. All I see is the iphoto icon which opens to a completely empty program. (Yet the info on this Icon says it is a 1 gb in there). Are my photos lost, really? And if not, how may I retrieve them? Thanks in advance.

You may find it in the Previous System Folder created during an Archive and Install that contains your old system. Assuming you have no need for its contents you can delete the PSF and recover the disk space.
Of course if the hard drive is corrupted then you may have performed an Archive and Install on a corrupted drive which will result in a corrupted installation. Consider doing the following:
Repairing the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Installer menu (Utilities menu for Tiger.) After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer. Now shutdown the computer for a couple of minutes and then restart normally.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior (4.0 for Tiger) and/or TechTool Pro (4.5.2 for Tiger) to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.

Re-Install music and permissions issues

I was having a problem with my imac and i was told that I had to make a clean install of the system on my computer. I was backing up regularly so I figured that this would not be a problem.
Because my new system name does not quite match up with my old one I can't just replace the files (they all come up with little do not enter signs on them.)
My quesion is once I retrive my Itunes library and all the music where do I put it so it will show up in my new one?
And how do I change permissions on them so I can open them?

The default location of your iTunes music should be HD>Users>Your Account>Music>iTunes>iTunes Music - If you have set your iTunes preferences to 'keep' and 'copy' then that is where your tunes would be - UNLESS you changed the location in iTunes prefs>Advanced>General.
If you are refused access to the iTunes folder(s) then you can do a 'Get Info' on the folder and change the access in the 'Sharing and Permissions' tab at the bottom of the window.
Whenever doing a reinstall it is usually easier to do an Archive and Install - that way all your old stuff is moved to another folder but you retain the same user name. I made the mistake with my new MBP and decided that it was better to do a another install from a backup disk so I retained my original user name.

where would i be able to get music with proper codec to install into my slideshow. i am using Photoshop Elements 6.

My expereince has been that generally music files in mp3 format which do not have DRM (digital rights management) and do not contain Album Art will work in PSE slide shows.
Perhaps you will be able to convert the music files that you have so they meet these conditions. I am not using any of the many music download sites so I can't make any recommendations for downloading.

Trouble installing Kodak Easyshare 5300 Printer

I got a Kodak Easyshare 5300 All-in-one printer as a gift. While trying to install it I get the message 'no driver installed'. I realize it is compatible with OSX 10.4.8 or later, but my question is - is there any way around this if I have OSX 10.3.9? Any help will be much appreciated.

Hi does anyone have the pre-installed songs that come with the Zen micro?
(Think they are in WMA - called seasons.wma/rainforest.wma?)
Not sure if they came with all micro's but i think the european ones had the songs included.
