Installing mx7 and homesite Getting Started
hello
i am attempting to start up a tutorial at home.
the check list that i do have are.
mx server
homesite
database software.
i amanged to download the mx but it asked me about the web
apache or just its own on a radio button option.
can i run cf with out apache?
i have just chose to configure its own mx server. problem it
is taking forever to configure. is that OK?
what should i do?
1. do i still need apache? or iis? if so where can i get it?
2. also home site or dreamweaver. i need it right? if so
where do i get it?
3. database software. i have access already installed. is
that good. are there files i can have for free??

1) You don't need to install Apache, IIS or any other web
server. Let Coldfusion use its own built-in web server. It is
actually quite good and, when you're only just beginning, it is
probably the ideal solution. If necessary, you could always install
Apache or IIS later, without having to re-install Coldfusion.
2) Some developers do Coldfusion on Notepad. It's mostly a
question of skill level and convenience, rather than of need. To
obtain Homesite or Dreamweaver, go to
the download
page of this web site. I prefer Homesite, for being simpler.
They are not free. However,
Eclipse
is. In fact, I would recommend it as a good habit to have right
from the beginning.
3)
MySQL
(Community Edition, Windows Essentials version) is free. MS Access
will help you learn, but the database cannot scale up to
industrial-strength Coldfusion websites.

I'm new to Photoshop Elements and just getting started. While in the organizer I have one group of photos up to learn with and now it says Edit in Progress with a padlock icon. How can I remove this so that the photos will be restored to normal?
Go back to the editor and close the photo there.

My iphone 4s automatically getting turned off (blank black screen) and not getting started until full battery discharge. Even on long pressing power button - screen doesn't showing anything - not even "needs charging logo".
This is happening only since I have updated to new ios version (ios 8.1).

I am trying to install software and am getting the following prompt.

Step 1

You can demote the problem account back to standard status when this step has been completed.

If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The command will take a noticeable amount of time to run. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear, then quit Terminal.
Step 2 (optional)
Take this step only if you have trouble with Step 1 or if it doesn't solve the problem.
Boot into Recovery. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select

from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open.
In the Terminal window, type this:

Press return. A Reset Password window will open. You’re not going to reset a password.

After upgrading to 8.0 from 7.0.1 every time I start FF I get the add-on compatibility tool to run and the Getting Started web page loads along with my homepage in separate tabs as well. So far I have tried running the installer again, disabling all add-0ns and custom settings and restarting and turning off automatic updates. Nothing worked there. I got the same behavior each time. I don't know what else to try other than a full uninstall and reinstall. Something I'd like to avoid if it's possible because of the time involved. This is the second time I have posted regarding this issue. The first time I didn't get a response. A solution or a possible workaround would be greatly appreciated if anyone knows of any. As a staff member and a global forum moderator for an anti-virus company I understand how hectic things can be at times but some feedback, good or bad, on this issue would be very welcomed! Hi michaell, thanks for the reply. I tried everything in the Preferences are not saved link you provided and nothing worked there. If creating a new profile will delete all my add-ons and custom settings I might as well just do a complete uninstall and reinstall. That actually would be easier. That article told me how to save my bookmarks though so I don't have to loose those which is nice. I don't know if this makes any difference but there is a discrepancy between the preference file in the article which is: prefs.js and what's showing on my PC which is: prefs with no .js suffix. I tried to rename the file to prefs.js and restarted. No luck there either. It just created another prefs file. I guess we've pretty much exhausted all the avenues to try! I'm just going to go ahead and do a reinstall when I get the time. Thanks so much for your help michaell. I do appreciate the effort. Regards, Ritchie...

Getting this error message after installing and clicking getting started
I have been getting this error message when i click the Getting Started option for oracle
"Windows cannot find 'http://127.0.0.1:%HTTPPORT%/apex/f?p=4950'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again."
any ideas on what to do about this?Obvious thing to do is to correct Get_Started url shortcut.

Am trying to install itunes on my home computer windows 7 and am getting an error message that says Apple Application Support not found, error 2. Have uninstalled and reinstalled twice and get same error message.
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it, which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
The section Install missing components has advice on breaking down the iTunes installer into the individual .msi files which might prove useful if one component, such as Apple Application Support, won't install normally.

How can I get itunes to install with this issue?
Try right clicking the iTunes install file and choose "Run as administrator".
If that option is not available, log in as an administrator and install iTunes. -
Installing software and keep getting admin level access error -
I'm trying to install some software on my mac and I get the prompt for network admin passowrd ao I log in and I get an error that says I need admin prioveledges or higher. I go to system prefs and that account has admin rights. I created a new acount with admin rights - and I get the same message. any ideas?
Might you have a different password for your initial login screen as admin and your Network?
Look in keychain, and find all your various passwords.
