installing printer on network - unable to set default printer as HP Officejet Pro 8600Using Windows 7

Hello 777danno 1. Open Control Panel
2. Click on Uninstall a program
3. Uninstall the Officejet 8600 from the list
4. Reboot your computer
5. Download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
6. Download the full feature software and drivers, and then reinstall the printer. Let me know if the same problem persists or if anything changes.

You'll need to find the drivers. I found the imageclass 4890 OS X 10.6 drivers here, but didn't find 4880 drivers. Check the global Canon web sites.

Can't install new release - Error 2753 Ref pxsetup.exe ?

I ran into problems trying to uninstall Lightroom Beta. In the end, I did a manual delete, followed up by a "regedit" search for anything 'Lightroom' had left behind in the registry. Then I swept the machine using Ccleaner (great free utility at www.ccleaner.com).
Despite all my best efforts, I can't get the new version to install. (I wanted to install the trial version and then register it within the 30 day period).
I keep getting an error message part way through the actual install process saying:
Error 2753: The file pxsetup.exe is not marked for installation.
To try and resolve this I've tried installing direct from the Adobe site using the run command, but get the same problem?
I've also tried switching off my Firewall/Anti virus software during the install process. That didn't help either.
I tried ringing Adobe saying I wanted to install and buy their product, but they refuse to give any assistance to anything Beta related! Because of this problem I can't install and register. As I'm not registered, I can't get any help from Adobe product support?

HT1926 When Installing new version error is quicktime cannot uninstall old version

When trying to install new version of Quicktime, I get a error message that quicktime cannot uninstall old version. This also affects Itunes to work. Get Message Itunes has encountered a problem and needs to close. I think not having quicktime working affects my Itunes from launching.

Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATION" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up").
In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any QuickTime entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC. Now try another QuickTime install. Does it go through properly this time?

PSE 6 - dosnt have all its selections and preferences since i installed new printer driver?

Installed PSE 6 - worked great. My printer broke so got a new one - installed new driver
and now I cannot print multiple photos, contact sheet or picture package at all - they are greyed out and I am unable to select them.
Any ideas as to what i should do. ?

Quit PSE then go to your username>library>preferences and delete:
com.adobe.Photoshop.Elements.plist
Adobe PSE 6 paths
Adobe PSE 6 settings
Opera preferences
Repair permissions and try again.

Trying to install new printer on another networked computer downstairs. Cannot locate on network .

I have a computer dopwnstairs on wireless. Wireless Net gear home buisness. I am installing a new printer and it is a wired ethernet cable to main computerwhihc acts as the servier to the one downstairs. I cannot print from the one downstairs any lionger since installing a new all in one office jet 8500 910A in main office wiht ethernet cable connection. Have cheked connections and all OK?

I don't think this will work. Try connecting it with USB to the server PC. By the way, it will only share printing, not scanning or faxing. Why not install the printer via wireless (or is it a wireless version)?

That's not within the realm of the end user.
Low level formatting is done at the factory.
If the drive can't be erased, return it. Something is wrong.

PE9 scanning options change after installed new printer

Operating Windows 7 64bit, Epson Perfection 1650 scanner. I have PE9, and after I installed a new Epson printer, my scanning options changed, I no longer have the Twain option, and the scanning window that appears is the one that is for the new printer. I have the option to choose my old Epson 1650 scanner, but it still has the new scanner window, which I don't like, it consistantly scans the entire flatbed even though I only have a small photo on it, and it will not save my settings nor allow me to scan multiple images. Any suggestions for me.

CanoScan behaving differently after installing new printer

Hi All, I have been using a Canon LiDE 110 for quick scanning of documents into PDF.
Just last week installed a new printer and since then, the PDF button on the scanner brings up a dialog box with 3 options: PaperPort, MP Navigator EX 4.0, and ControlCenter3. I now always need to select MP Navigator, which is the Canon scanner software, to begin the scan. ControlCenter3 is related to the new printer I installed. Prior to installing the printer, it always scanned without bringing up these options.
Does anyone have any idea how to get back to how it was before?

I am not sure I understand your question. What are the Belkin and Linksys devices, exactly? Where do they attach? What is a USB on-line connection?

HELP! I tried installing new printer software. The progress screen stayed at 0% so I forced quit. But the installing drivers screen remained. I manually shut off the computer. When I restarted it went from start up screen to terminal with multiple errors.

The final message says (my-name-computer):/I have no name!
I tried safe start but it just shuts down after the start ip screen.
I tried starting with the OS disk in but didn't help.
Please someone help!

Oh Oh, you may need a stronger Disk Repair tool, or the DRive may be dying!
You must repair the HD, your best bet is likely DiskWarrior.

You must repair the HD, if Disk Utility or fsck should fail to repair it, your best bet is DiskWarrior from Alsoft, you'll need the CD to boot from if you don't have another boot drive...

Where is OK button after checking new cartridges while installing new printer

Am installing a new hpENVY5660 on my Apple PC Yosemite version. Things go well until I put in in new in cartridges that came with printer. Get message ink cartridges problem. Checked both cartridges and still get message that tells me to "touch OK . I've tapped everything on the screen and nothing happens. In searching a solution, I find a message saying something about if my Apple Yosemite installation is newer than the printer, it will not operate. Is this my problem or can you help me find "Touch OK?

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to ask that question on the HP Forums today!
I understand you are getting a cartridge error that says touch ok to continue and you are not able to find the "ok" button.
I recommend unplugging the printer for 3-5 minutes and plugging it back in. See if that message comes back. If it does let me know and we can go from there.
Also Yosemite is compatible with this printer so don't fret about that.

New to Mac - cannot get past step 1 - installing new printer software!

Hello - just bought my first new iMac and an HP B110 wireless printer. Printer connected and basic printing fine - but the HP software on CD that allows you to add utilities to configure printer for double-sided printing etc does not appear to install. Installing the same CD on a windows machine makes all the HP utilities available - but they just don't install or even get prompted for installation when put into the Mac? I am therefore unable to use the full capabilities of the printer. Can anyone help here please. PS - it's supposed to be easier than this - isn't it?

Cannot install new iTunes (Error 2324)

Installing an iPhone5 on a PC with an old version of iTunes, tried to download new version and came back with error 2324. Tried to uninstall, same error.
Things I have tried:
User has local admin rights,
Have tried microsoft fix on this page: http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall
Tried CCLeaner
Cannot do in safe mode as no installer service running.
If anyone has any ideas please let me know!

I cannot install either and getting same error code 2324. there are some fixes out ther but they all cost money. Apple has gotta come up with a fix. why should we pay another company to be able to download an apple program. I am in a real bind because I need to manage my music for new years party and now I don't have itunes at all. Anyone know how to download an older version?
I HATE the new itunes format too.
