Installing NWDI in PI 7.1 (NW 2007)

Hi,
I just finished an installation of PI 7.1; and i dont see the usage type DI installed in the server, and i dont find any documentation about how to install NWDI in PI 7.1.
I think that is possible due to there is some references in certain notes and in the installation manual about configuring DI in PI 7.1 using the nwa and the wizards.
If is possible please tell me where i can find the .sar archives to do the deploy and how it should be done.
Thanks in Advanced.

HI, i didnt find more information about implementing DI in PI 7.1; but the solution seems to be configure CMS to be able to transport de Repository and the Integration Builder objects: The how to guide for doing this is https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/20ccd0ec-2839-2b10-0097-828fcd8ed809
And it is avaible up to PI 7.1 SP06.
Regards.

have installed 10.10 on my iMac (mid 2007) 2.4 GHz me 2 GB which has slowed to a crawl

Try these in order testing your system after each to see if it's back to normal:
    1. a. Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM
        b. Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
    2. Restart the computer in Safe Mode, then restart again, normally. If this doesn't help, then:
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the
COMMAND and R keys until the Utilities menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the
computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager
screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    3. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.
    4. Reinstall Yosemite: Reboot from the Recovery HD. Select Reinstall OS X from the Utilities menu, and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible
because it is three times faster than wireless.
    5. Reinstall Yosemite from Scratch:
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
How to Clean Install OS X Yosemite
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible
because it is three times faster than wireless.

This might be an issue with the gacutil that you are using. I have used the gacutil that comes with Microsoft SDK.
You can install Microsoft SDK from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=3138

  • Can I install a 3TB drive in my mid-2007 24" iMac?

I'd like to know if I can install a 3TB drive in my mid-2007 24" iMac. The OTW page for this model says that 2TB is the maximum, but I think it was written before 3TB drives became available. Does anyone know if the controller will recognize drives larger than 2TB?

    Hi,
First off it would need to be Serial ATA (3 Gb/s) compatible.
Looks like 4 TB is no problem in my research at OWC...

  • Installing NWDI in Existing SAP Portal

    hi experts,
My project currently require to retrieve and modify ESS (personal information) standard code since the standard personal information in ESS will not meet our requirement.
I found out that i need NWDI installed in our environment in order to retrieve ESS (personal information) standard code.
my consideration is that we already implement several custom ESS using NWDS for SAP Portal.
By installing NWDI, will it have any impacts to existing custom ESS (using NWDS)?
I already tried to search through forum, but haven't find the answer.
    Thanks in advance

    Dear Rica,
Download the NWDI Component from service market place with same version and SP level.
    DTR
    CBS
    CMS
    SLD
Deploy the NWDI component througth SDM or JSPM. Once finished you can access with http://<Host>:<Port>/devinf
For designing track for ESS/MSS, refer to the JDI cookbook. for your custom development you can migrate to the NWDI.
Refer to SDN Page for NWDI [Click Here |SAP NetWeaver Development Infrastructure (NWDI)]for more details.
    Hope it will helps

  • Installing NWDI

    Hi
We are planning to install NWDI .i am bit confused about the installation . we have a separate portal(AS Java Only) .should i go with DI Add on with SCA`s(SAPBUILDT,DICMS,DICBS and DIDTR) or with a separate system system only with NWDI(DEV,QAS and PRD) . if our developers develop in NWDI how can
we trasport those to the portal servers(DEV,QAS and PRD) . do all the above servers need to be in the same
SLD To do the trasnports ..

    Hi,
the Java Development Infrastructure forum is maybe a better place to ask such questions, never mind the "Java" vs. "NW" it is the same thing.
If your developers develop in NWDI you usually configure the runtime systems in CMS and changes will be automatically deployed in those systems. As far as I know SLD is not relevant here, since the runtime system is directly configured in CMS. CMS then takes care of the transport.
If you develop components that require offline deployment you MUST NOT put CMS on the same system as the runtime system. As offline deployment requires the engine to shut down and restart this simply does not work.
Depending on the size of your development the load on the NWDI system can be pretty heavy, on large-scale systems it is sometimes advisable to even split CMS/CBS/DTR and put them onto different systems.

    Marc

  • Installing NWDI on CE

    HI,
We are trying to setup NWDI for CE 7.1. When we go through the documents, we understand that we need to setup NWDI in a separate NW 7.0 server and use in CE environment. Cant we install NWDI on CE itself instead of installing in NW7.0 server.
    Other questions regarding CE
    1. Does CE 7.1 sneak preview comes with sld installed?
    2. We dont see SDM in CE 7.1, how will we deploy sca files?
Please guide us in this regard.
    Regards,
    Saravanan

    Hello,
in SAP NetWeaver CE 7.1 you can only connect to a NW 7.0 installation of NWDI. With the CE 7.1 you get only the Development Infrastructure and Design Time Repository perspectives in the Developer Studio which should allow you to use Eclipse 3.0 based perspective to perform software development tasks with NW 7.0 existing sources.
The NWDI can be installed with the SAP NetWeaver CE 7.1 EHP1, but you will have to wait for the official release; it seems it is not part of the preview.
    1. Does CE 7.1 sneak preview comes with sld installed?
No, you must set SLD up first on your own, or you can connect to 7.0 SLD somewhere.
    2. We dont see SDM in CE 7.1, how will we deploy sca files?
There is no SDM on CE 7.1; use JSPM instead.
Both these questions are answered here:

  • What are the Pre-requisites in installing NWDI

    Hi Experts,
I would like to ask if you have a list of all requirements when installing NWDI.
    Thanks,
    Edy

    Hi,
no need to do anything with NWDI if you have already one. Or if you are about to install a new one, it can be any version (general recommendation, the higher the better, but if it is say 730 for instance, it'll be able to serve any developments, let it be 700, 710 ... 740, etc. If it is 700 higher than SP13 then again, you'll be able to develop/deploy for any releases. Just make sure it is not lower than SP13 if you intend to use 700 NWDI. If you use higher release than 700 then it does not matter).
I am sure you'll love this blog:
    NWDI vs. NWDI content

  • Can I use 6.40 version sca's to Install NWDI for Netweaver 2004s SP14?

    Hi,
I have installed Netweaver 2004s Java SP14 and wanted to install NWDI. I know I can use the sca's for Web AS 7.0 such as CMS, CBS, DTR. But I don't have those files right now, but I do have the three NWDI files JBUILDTOOL, OFFLINE,ONLINE sca files for 6.40.
My Question to the experts is can I use the Web AS 6.40 components for NWDI Netweaver 7.0?
I know I can easily deploy the sca files onto SDM, but is there any effect on post-installation process?
    Replies are appreciated and rewarded.
    Thanks.

    HI,
you can use those sca files.
But is there any point in doing that when 7.0 SCAs are available.
It will eventually create problem when in future you want to upgrade your NWDI. As of now 6.40s are totally outdated, and some for 7.1s are also available.
so it will be better to download 7.0s from market place and install it.

  • 10.6 will not install on my 20" intel imac circa 2007....HELP

I have a 20" intel imac that I purchased new in to 2007. It has the 2.1x (can't remember and I'm at work, sorry..) intel core 2 duo processor and 2G of memory. I have tried 2 separate 10.6 disks (one 10.6 and one 10.6.3) to upgrade my imac from 10.5.8 to 10.6 in order to use my new magic trackpad and both disks say "OSX cannt be installed on this computer". Please help. I have browsed on the forums around the net and have tried to find what the problem is, I have tried running the install and booting the computer from the disks and neither worked. I am not very proficient with programming or the behind the scenes of my mac, but I think I have managed to reset the PRAM , which was a suggestion on a forum, but still no luck. Can someone help me out. It would be greatly appreciated!
