Installing OBIA 11g - stuck at Business Analytics Applications Suite RCU

Hi.
I'm installing OBIA 11.1.1.7.1 in windows machine and the database is in linux server. I've completed till ODI installation. While running Business Analytics Applications Suite RCU installer, i got stuck in custom variables (step 5 of 8).
I have created directories in the database server and copied the dump files to the respective directories.
For Custom variable value, i have tried entering the directory name and the directory path for each component. But it runs for a long time(more than 3hrs) and doesn't go to the next step.
Please help me to resolve this issue. Also please let me know if i have missed something.

Installing OBIA 11g - Stuck at configuration script

I'm installing OBIEE, ODI and OBIA for a client on Unix and running into several problems. Most are out of the way, but I can't seem to figure this one out on my own.
I'm using the installation manual from docs.oracle.com and came to step 3.3.5 (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E38317_01/doc.11117/e35981/install.htm#BABEFEJA) . This is to configure OBIEE with a script, problem is it won't run because it's missing a oneclick.properties file under $ORACLE_BI_HOME/oui/bin.
I searched the whole server and couldn't find a file with that name. I even searched in the installation files and could not find anything.
Does anybody know how to solve this or what I missed?

After chekcing with oracle, I did following...
1. Install BI EE 11.1.7.0 in Enterprise Only mode. This mode installs Weblogic
10.3.5 and configures the BI Domain
2. Install ODI 11.1.1.7.0
3. Install BI Applications 11.1.1.7.1
4. Apply FMW Platform Patches
now I am running confgapps.sh and getting error at Configuring ODI step...I see this in the *.out file

I have modified /etc/profile, including JAVA_HOME and PATH with the java PATH. And it is ok, because if I executed java -version I can see the new jdk:

Hi Pedro,
As of November 2012 Compatibility Matrix released by Oracle for OBI 11.1.1.x Windows 2012 and SQL Server 2012 were not supported. It was supported on 2008 Windows and SQL Server.
We can have weblogic and OBI server's on 2 different machines. The approach is to opt software only install. the link below will give more details:

Fail installing OBIEE 11g on Oracle Linux 5 64 bits

I am trying to install OBIEE 11g over Oracle Linux 5 (64 bits), but I can't. I have the following issue:
INST-07008: Validation of Oracle Home location failed. User does not have permission to create home/instance location
INST-07282: Specified Middleware home location does not exist
In the Oracle Middleware Home, I have specified "/root/Oracle/Middleware".
I have following these steps:
1) Install Oracle DB 11g R2 (OK)
2) Install jdk for Linux 64 bits (OK)
3) Install weblogic
I have done the installation as "root" user
Middleware Home Directory = /root/oracle/Middleware (OK)
4) Install RCU as root (OK)
5) Install OBI 11g
To execute ./runInstaller it is necessary be as oracle user.
I have changed permissions in /root/Oracle/Middleware (chmod 777), but the issue is the same.
I appreciate any idea to solve the issue.

no, I have installed OBIEE as oracle user with software only option, with root isn't possible.
So, I don't know if it is necessary I installed WebLogic as oracle user to have permission in middleware path...

OBI 11G installtion seems ok. But cannot open browser

Everything seems to be ok, when I check the status with command opmnctl status.
opmnctl status output is below:

BI requires more than just these services. I would start by logging onto EM. This will tell you if the Java components are running in the managed server for BI. If all these are green then view all log messages since a reboot. EM has a view all messages page allowing you to walk through all log files in time order looking for red ones with errors. For more information read the Administration Guide which tells you how to start and stop everything plus how to trouble shoot issues.

Installating additional BI Analytics Applications

Supposing that you have a running Oracle Business Intelligence Applications install with Financial Analytics Applications (7.9.6.1). Thus, the installed module was Financial Analytics and the database schema and the OBIEE RPD were created for Financial Analytics.
If you need to install HR Analytics into the same database, how do you go about doing it ?
The Oracle Business Intelligence Applications installation documentation does not seem to explain how to install a new module into an existing environment.

Several things to keep in mind..the SB schema (tables, etc) is not specific to any module..it should install the DB schema and tables for all module (FIN, HR..etc). However, if you only ran the ETLs for Financials Subject Area..then only those tables will be populated. So with regard to DB you should be fine. Second, the DAC can be configured to run additional subject areas. So for instance, if you want to runa HR on top of Financials, you can simply configure the HR subject areas in the DAC and reassemble the subject area and rebuild the execution plan. Also, note that BI Apps has conformed dimensions..which means that tables are shared across subjct areas..so its best to run the loads together. Regarding the RPD, I assume you can "enable" or install the HR objects just like you did for Financials.

OBI Analytics Application

We have installed OBIEE on Windows XP and we have created some reports / dashboards using the seeded SH repository. We would now like to go to the next level of using Oracle BI Analytic Applications. To do that I have some questions.
1) Do we need to install Oracle BI Analytic Applications on top of OBIEE?
2) If so where can I download the Financial BI Analytics.
Please advise us of how to proceed further.

Calendar Analytics application won't install with MS Office 2013 on PC

I use Calendar Analytics, a Microsoft approved application, to analyze Outlook Calendars for utilization rates within my facility. It has worked well for me for several years. Since I
upgraded to Microsoft Office 2013, I cannot get Calendar Analytics to install on my PC. I receive an error message stating Office Shared Tools is required and I should run Office 2010 setup to install Office Shared Tools.
Please assist me in locating a way to resolve this issue either by installing the required version of Office Shared Tools or installing a compatible Outlook Calendar Analytics application
which will provide utilization information from Outlook calendars.

OBIA 11g: Financial Analytics Config

We are configuring OBIA 11.1.1.7 to Financial Analytics based on the tasks provided in documnetation. FInding it bit hard to understand the current documnetation structure after working on 7.9.6.3 where there were specific section for Fiancial Analytics related tasks.
Wanted to clarify the below. In 7.9.6.X we had to configure the below files as part of EBS GL configuration.
1> file_group_acct_names.csv
2> file_group_acct_codes_ora.csv
3> file_grpact_fstmt.csv
But apart from the 2nd file the other two files are not refered to in the OBIA 11g Config document. Not sure if those needs to be configured. If anyone has come across any categorized steps for Financial anlytics for OBIA 11g it would of help.. Di not find any here.

First 2 files are referred in configuration guide. You can skip the 3rd one.

Replace Buisness Intelligence with Business Analytics in 11G pages.

Hi,
I have a somewhat unusual request from business, they would like to remove the words 'Business Intelligence' and replace it with 'Business Analytics'. This is the text that appears next to the Oracle Logo.
Im sure it requires editing of some css or html script somewhere in the skins folder perhaps... Ive been hunting around, but would be helpful if someone who has done this already could point me in the right direction

OBI 11g install

I'm trying to install OBI on windows x86 64 bit and in step 10 of 12 its asking me disk number 3 so i can continue the install.
I have downloaded and unzipped disk 1 of 1 and 2 of 2 so i am not sure why its asking me for disk 3 as there is not one provided.
Any help on how to move forward with this is appreciated.
