Mac with 10.6 stall internet access, whilst older Macs connect OK

My usual home set up has a Netgear DGN2000 modem router, with several Macs connecting wirelessly. This works fine.
Recently the DGN got toasted by a power surge and I have had to resort to my old set up of a basic ZTE DSL modem/router, connected to an old (not n spec) airport express.
With this set up, my veteran PBook G3 / OS 10.4 / Belkin wireless PCMCIA card accesses the internet fine, as does my AppleTV and my 2009 Macbook with OS 10.5.8. The 2009 iMac with OS 10.6.6 can only access the internet for about 20 seconds after which access is apparently blocked and the iMac cannot access any internet resources (other Macs connected at the same time contiue to access OK). Sometimes the connection to the iMac comes back up again for a few seconds after 10 minutes or so. Restarting the Modem/router gets the iMac connected again for another few seconds.
Any ideas as to what might be causing the problem?
I have configured the ZTE modem/router to handle DHCP (not the airport express) and all connected Macs get their IP address OK.

It's my work computer. Audio production, recording mixing in a multiple room video facility. Ethernet only, Linksys RV082 router, Time Warner Business class account, unknowm cable modem (only markings are MAC address). I've only tried shutting the router and cable modem down once (tough to do with everybody working), and I think it only helped for a very short time. Running Safari in 32 bit mode, seems to be better at streaming and downloading. Also tried Firefox, Chrome and Explorer. Some sites work correctly. FTP works correctly up and down. Even downloading from Apple through software update and iTunes requires pausing and starting a few times before it seems to catch and continue.

Is there a way to download firefox to a USB without the installer so I can install it on several PCs?
We are using Oracle Forms in house. No internet connection as it is secure from outside.
Internet Explorer is not working well, so we want to try Firefox.

It is usually best to use the full installer on Windows to make sure that necessary registry keys get created.
You can find the full version of the latest Firefox 22.0 release in all languages and for all Operating Systems here:

You can copy the installer to an USB stick and use that to install the program.

Applications/Utilities>Activity Monitor
Click each Dashboard process (sorry, it has to be done one at a time) and then click the octagonal icon to force it to quit.
THEN run the installer, and relaunch Dashboard from your Dock.

I am installing PeopleTools 8.53 with Oracle Database Server 11gR1 and OS Oracle Linux 5.10.
Data Mover Bootstrap and Application Designer can log into Database instance successfully. My procedure to run PIA is below:
Step 1: start Oracle Database Server and LISTENR is listening.
Step 2: start Application Server ./psadmin and 8 processes are started.
Step 3: start WebLogic Server PIA /opt/PT8.53/webserv/PT853/bin/startPIA.sh
In Browser, http://192.168.196.102:8000/ps/signon.html comes up successfully. But when sign in using UserID PSADMIN and password "myname", I get the error message in Browser as below:
The application server is down at this time.
CHECK APPSERVER LOGS. THE SITE BOOTED WITH INTERNAL DEFAULT SETTINGS, BECAUSE OF: bea.jolt.ServiceException: Invalid Session

I think the error is indicated in TUXLOG file "ERROR: Jolt client (ip address 192.168.196.102) does not have proper application password". The application password "myname" in Browser http://192.168.196.102:8000/ps/signon.html page is not working. I use the same password "myname" to login Data Mover Bootstrap mode, Application Designer, and Application Server psadmin configuration successfully. I have tried a few other passwords in Browser http://192.168.196.102:8000/ps/signon.html page but not working.
My question is:
How to solve Sign In issue on http://192.168.196.102:8000/ps/signon.html that is "ERROR: Jolt client (ip address 192.168.196.102) does not have proper application password" ?

Hello. I have used the same password for "DomainConnectPswd" in the file Configuration.properties with that for Application Server setting. Eventually, UserID PSADMIN sign in http://192.168.196.102:8000/ps/signon.html successfully. PeopleTools 8.53 runs correctly in Browser.
It seems that whether upgrade Oracle Linux 5.0 to the latest 5.10 does not have effect !
I am very grateful to your great help for this installation of PT8.53 with Linux and Oracle Database !

Unable to Sync Outlook Contacts of Office 2011 for Mac with iPhone 5

I have been struggling to sync my Outlook 2011 for Mac with my iPhone 5 via iTunes. Apple support says it is not possible. All thier stores say you can use Office on Mac Machines but no one says that you cannot sync contacts with iPhone. Why in the world Apple does not allow to sync contact from Outlook to iPhone? The apple support say that in the earlier version of iTune it was possible but in the current version it is not possible. Has some genius found a way to sync the Outlook 2011 contacts with iPhone using iTune or any other external software? I will be grateful for any help in the matter.

The comment from Apple support was partially true. If you search the web you will find that Office 2011 (latest Mac version of Office) has never been able to sync with an iPhone. Older versions (maybe), and Windows versions possibly, but not the latest Mac version. MS changed the format of just about everything in Outlook 2011. It was MS that broke the iTunes ability to sync, not Apple.
So, even though Office 2011 works just fine on a Mac, you loose the ability to sync with your iPhone. Thank the folks in Redmond for this.

On your friend's computer with an internet connection, log into the Mac App Store with your ID and download Yosemite from the Purchases section of the Mac App Store. The make a bootable USB install media using

Then boot from that on your computer and install
You need an internet connection to install via Recovery mode

Mac App Store applications don't need an installer. In the case of iLife applications, you can just transfer the iPhoto, iMovie or GarageBand application to another Mac by transferring the application from the Applications folder, and you will get the applications updated on your Mac.
If you haven't got another Mac with a fast Internet connection, you can only download the iLife applications with the slow connection

It seems that Apple's license terms will allow that across Macs that share the same App Store ID, but I doubt that's the case with you and your father. Physically the update package for Lion could be moved, but the licensing issues will have to be worked out. You're not the only person who's concerned with the issue of how to download a 4 GB file for Lion.
