Installing on RHEL 5.8 64-bit with Firefox

I'm thus far unable to get a flash player plugin to work in FF 13.0 on RHEL 5.8 64 bit. I've tried the suggested YUM, rpm, and tar.gz methods, and i've placed the libflashplayer.so in just about all locations I can think of:
/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/
/home/usrname/.mozilla/plugins/
/firefox/ <== where FF13 installed
It always looks like it installed correctly, but when I restart FF, the plug-in is not loaded. Any ideas?

first determine if your firefox version is 32 or 64-bit. i suspect it is 32-bit and you've been attempting to install the 64-bit plugin. if this is the case, download and install the 32-bit version of the plugin in any of the 2 locations you noted above. i usually install in ~/.mozilla/plugins for convenience.

BO: BOXI-R2 Service Pack 4 - Server Installation with Tomcat. CMS & Audit databases on Oracle.
Analysis u2013 MS SQL Server 2000 u2013 Analysis Services
Errors:
1. The BOXI-R2 installation goes through, but the CMS is unable to connect to the database on Oracle. The error is given below.
Note:
I searched for a 64 bit version of BOXI-R2 installer on SAP Support website but couldnu2019t locate one.
Appreciate any help in this regard. Thanks a ton for reading and replying.

How to install After Effects CS5.5(64-bit) with After Effects CS4 installer(32bit)?

I have purchased After Effects CS5.5 unknowingly it is only for 64 bit system.My system is 32 bit.When I read a Adobe help page I got to knew that 32 bit users can install AE CS5 and above with help of a AE CS4 installer.Please help me how to do this.My system specs are:
Windows 7 32-bit
Intel Core i3 3.2 Ghz processor
2 GB ram

Hi, i used to use the brilliant Internet Add-on "Cooliris" but it seems that firefox has been uprgraded and it is no longer compatible with Cooliris and i'm unable to use the program. Is it possible for Firefox to update this so that people are still able to use this application?
It's a shame that i can no longer use "Cooliris", i'd be greatful if this could be altered.

Flashplayer dont work in Slackware 14.1 64 bits with Firefox 37.02 (Where to paste it?)

Hi, I donwloaded the last version of flash player. I extracted the files and paste the usr folder into my usr folder (cp -r usr/* /usr)
And then I put the libflashplayer.so into the folder that is showed when I execute "about:plugins".
I paste it in (Just in case xD):
/home/normal/.mozilla/firefox/
/home/normal/.mozilla/firefox/kv8dxhfg.default/gmp-gmpopenh264/
/home/normal/.mozilla/firefox/kv8dxhfg.default/
but notthing happened.

Or if you are an only user create a folder named '''plugins''' in '''.mozilla'''
Then place a copy of libflashplayer.so in plugins folder there.
You need to keep Flash manually updated this way.

Reader X: Can't disable Open in Browser with Firefox.

This works fine in IE, but with Firefox 3.6.18 on XP-32 bit, the option:
Edit - Prefrences - Internet - "Display PDF in Browser" still opens PDF's in the browser even if this box is unchecked.
I need the vertical screen real-estate badly, and just can't have the stacked top bars of Firefox AND reader taking up all that space in one window.
For now, I'll try and find a copy of 9.4 to install until X is ready to work with Firefox.

Can you see what is the value under the "Action" column selected for Adobe Acrobat Document. To check the same:
1. Open Firefox
2. Goto Tools > Options
3. Click on the Applications tab.
4. Under the "Content Type" column locate the entry for " Adobe Acrobat Document" and see its corresponding value in the"Action" column.
What is it currently poiinting to?
Also, could you let me know if you have Acrobat installed on your system as well.

I am done with mounting a secondary HDD (thanks to ifixit) and installing Windows 8 Pro 64 bit on it without a worry. Charm, charm!!
Boot Camp 5 guide prescribes all needed steps and when read and used correctly, installation must be an easy task. And all the existing apple hardwares work so good in the Windows environment too.
I am going to help out a friend of mine in doing a similar thing on his mac too. If you got specific questions, please do shoot up here and i should be able to get a reply to it (if at all).

STW00064: Installing BO XI 3.1 on Windows XP 64 bit with Oracle 64-bit

Hi all
I'm trying to install BOE XI 3.1 on a Windows XP 64-bit machine running Oracle 10g 64-bit and a SAP Netweaver System.
(The customer wants to run BO on the same machine as BI.)
After entering the Oracle connection parameters I get the Following error:
STW00226
Database access error. Reason Loading shared object failed. First tried to load library oci and failed because of error: %1 is not a valid Win32 application.
]. Second tried to load library oci.dll and failed because of error: %1 is not a valid Win32 application.
After some trying we've put the 32-bit Oracle client to a directory with the environment variable CLIENT_ORACLE_HOME pointing to it. Still the same error.
Has anyone an idea what I could do to fix this?

Hi Philippe,
BO XI 3.1 is a server product and it cannot be installed on on Windows XP 64 bit.
Try using Win2k3 to install BO XI 3.1 or anyother platform as mentioned in the suported platform guide.

You either download drivers from within Boot Camp Assistant and save to USB FAT disk, or you insert and use 10.6.x OS X DVD when in Windows and install and run the SETUP from there.

Then you might check at any of the other university book stores or software stores or any computer store in town for the 64-bit version.
If you want to use the 32-bit version from the school (you probably get it for free or very cheap) then you could purchase Parallels and run it as a virtual machine concurrently with OS X. There are some caveats:
1. You have to purchase Parallels (there may be an academic discount.) List is $79.95.
2. Your computer needs minimally 4 GBs of RAM, but realistically 8 GBs would be better.
3. Parallels creates a pseudo-drive on your hard drive. It could easily require 50 GBs of disk space.
Accommodating these might be more costly than buying 64-bit Windows 7. And, if you look online you may find them with an academic discount (or may be able to order it through the school.)
