Installing on Window XP 64 bit edition

Does anyone know if there is a version of itunes that will install on Windows XP x64 or if there are any plans of one being released anytime soon. I can no longer update my ipod.

This is a user to user forum so we don't know when or if they will support WIn XP 64. I know the next version on windows, Windows vista, is going to come out in 32 and 64 and Microsoft plans over a year to drop 32 and only offer 64 vista, so based on that apple will have to make iTUnes run on vista 64 at some point. I don't know if apple will ever support XP 64 tho

USB Connections on Windows Vista 32-bits edition

Hi. Since I installed Windows Vista 32 bits edition (don't ask me why, but when I used the 64 bits edition- which I uninstalled because some games didnt' work well- this didn't happen), I have this trouble.
I have a N80. When I use the USB Connection in PC Suite Mode, the Nokia PC Suite perfectly detects the phone, and Windows installs the drivers by downloading them from Windows Update, I know this because when the balloon in bottom right corner appears, it says "Installing new hardware software..." and if I click, the little windows apeears, and it says "Downloading from Windows Update".
The problem comes when it finishes installing it. Windows says that there was an error when installing new devices, the error code is 28, and the legend is:
The name is already used as a service name or as a display name of some service.
Or something like that, I have Windows in spanish and I tried to translate it. And the Nokia PC Suite never displays "Nokia N80 connected via USB", always remain as "No connected phones". This doesn't happens if I use the bluetooth mode, but I need the USB because I want to check if firmware updates are avaliable and other things.
I tried in differents USB ports with the same results.
Has anybody had a similar experience or any idea? Or maybe is this a known issue? (obviusly known by everybody but me, ...)

- Ihave the exact same problem as you do and so far have not found a solution to the problem. Everytime I check the post board I see more and more have viewed your post but no one else seems to have an answer for you either. I e-mailed tech support and answer I got was no help what so ever to me. So posting a comment to your question in hopes of getting someone's attention that maybe can help us both. Who knows maybe Creative might even respond to us.

Windows 7 64-bit edition compatibility

I was doing some research before installing Windows 7 64-bit edition on my MBP. I found in this article (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1846) that my MBP is not covered for the install, because mine was made in Mid-2007 I think.
Question (but a statement first). I would like to install the 64 bit edition, because then I would have access to all 4GB of RAM, rather than being capped at 3. It is really not a huge deal. But I have a Core 2 Duo and 4GB of RAM, so does anyone know which components don't meet the requirements for the 64-bit edition.
I am not going to do anything that is going to screw up my computer in the long run. I was just wondering if anyone knew why this would not work.

The Windows 7 DVD for 64-bit and your EFI 32-bit firmware.
There are ways around this, but back in 2007 the EFI 64-bit wasn't finalized yet, which became Unified EFI 2.x / EFI64.
Modifying the DVD is the one way I know, but required first installing temporarily in a VM (Sun/Oracle, Fusion, etc) and modifying (reburn) the ISO.

Windows xp 64-bit edition

I tried to install windows XP 64-bit edition beta. I downloaded this directly from microsoft (the flyer that came with the motherboard lead me no where to a link to download it). Unfortunately, the drivers that came with the raid controller are not 64bit compatiblee. I wanted to know how I would go about getting this installed properly (because XP 64-bit detects a mirrored array as two separate drives and will not boot).
What are the differences between 64-bit and 32-bit windows? will other programs not run correctly on it? Games? all that stuff? Comments? Any threads on this already?

and will run slower than on a win32bits , apps written and optimized for win64bits will run 20-30% faster.
Games? 32bits games (as all are today)will run with emulation helped by win64's WOW64 , and will run slower than on win32bits.
Comments? It's beta , and you can play with it to get the feel for it , but
unless you have 64bits driver for all your hw , your win64 installation
will be a bit stumped , afaik printers/scanners etc is hard to get any beta 64bits driver for . I tried writing to canon but they just blew me off , directing
me to their donload site where there is only 32bit drivers.

if it's restarting directly into an error, you can try troubleshooting (might be painful) or re-install windows with boot camp

I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. The disks are fine. I have the programs installed on my two XP machines. When I run the disk, I get the window pop up that says "Initializing Installation for Adobe Creative Suite 3". Then the disk stops spinning and nothing else happens. No error message. For such situation, I'd suggest the following:
1. Remove current installed office with the fix-it tool in
KB2739501, and follow the "Remove Office manually" section to make sure there are no remaining files
2. Either download a trial version of Office 2013 from
http://office.microsoft.com/, or from
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/jj937170
3. Reboot your computer in clean boot mode, and run setup again

It is not W10, it is the Technical Preview version of W10.
Search on the Windows forums (fora for the latinist) for activation in the TP W10.

How to install and use Flash Player with Windows 7 64-bit edition and Internet Explorer 8.

1. Click the Start button.
2. Search for Internet Explorer.
3. Do not click on "Internet Explorer (64-bit)" or "Internet Explorer (No Add-ons).
4. Click on "Internet Explorer."
5. That will open Internet Explorer 8, 32-bit edition.
6. Now you can download, install, and use Flash Player. (It is used automatically on websites that support it.)
7. In the future, make sure you don't use Internet Explorer 64-bit edition. Delete any Internet Explorer shortcut icons that you were formally using. Make sure that any Internet Explorer icons that you now use, are opening the 32-bit edition. To see what edition you are using, click the question mark near the upper-right corner of a webpage and click "About Internet Explorer."
